I tend to come to this store to buy k-pop albums. I am always very impressed with the album restocks. Everytime I go to buy one, it’s there. Very pleased! Also everything is neatly organised with group names and the staff is very sweet.

This is a huge bookstore with a very diverse selection. We saw books we never saw anywhere else. The non-fiction selection is very large. To give you an idea, just the vegan cookbook section stretched over multiple shelves. Now multiply this by any non-fiction theme you can think of. We had to leave due to lack of time (one hour of browsing was far from enough) but we will definitely be back.

Within this bookstore, everything looks super neat and is well organized.
The people who work here are very helpful and show a lot of knowledge.

The establishment has multiple floor and aside from books, has stationery items, games and books.
Loved visiting this place, and with its central location at Coolsingel, I'll definitely come back.

A huge book shop where you can find the best books in English (and Dutch). Everything is total clean and organized. It has a lot of sections, music and stationary stuff included.
The place has a lot of light and it's spacious and quiet.
In the third floor it also has a café, so recommended. The employees are very nice and charming.
I visited it twice (in 4 days) and I would do it again, I felt in love.

Huge book shop in a beautiful building, that is well worth visiting. They have a substantial English book section (about 10-12 aisles), as well as a small German section and a few shelves of Spanish. But go through the rest of the shop as well, even if you don’t read Dutch. There’s a large board game section, and a huge puzzles section with a great selection of quality basic to beautiful wooden and 3D puzzles. They also have a cafe upstairs, and a large section of gift wrap and stationery. This place is a treasure!

I had the pleasure of visiting 'Donner,' the massive bookstore, and it was an incredible experience. The sheer size and selection of books were astounding, catering to every literary taste imaginable. The layout and organization of the store made it easy to explore and find what I was looking for. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, which enhanced the overall experience. 'Donner' is a book lover's paradise, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. It's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the written word.

Definitely a go-to spot in this cold winter for cozying up with a good book or magazine. The diverse selection ensures there's something for every taste. A perfect retreat for literature lovers.

What a superb book shop! But it's so much more too! The building is absolutely amazing and steeped in history (spent ages just looking at the front). The shop has a great range of other things such as games and stationary, and lecture theatres and a cafe. The whole kaboodle. Spent ages just browsing and soaking up the atmosphere. A good selection of English books too.

Book lovers have found a paradise: Donner Bookstore housed in the former ABN-AMRO building in the very heart of Rotterdam. Every single category of books you can think of is likely to be found here. They have a large selection of books in English too! There are separate departments for children books, antique books, stationery, etc etc. Be prepared to spend half a day in this heaven on earth for book lovers

the very best bookstore in the whole country to my opinion! The atmosphere is fantastic and their manga/boardgame collection is actually great! I wish there were more first volume editions of manga if possible!

Greatest book store in Rotterdam, dare I say the Netherlands? Very extensive collection of Dutch, English and even French and German books. Top tip: get up the escalator to the top floor where you’ll find a cute cafe, toys, plushies and a most curious antiquities corner. I included no images in this review on purpose, for book stores are to be explored in person.

A 4 story bookstore with a diverse selection of books nicely organized by genre and language. Options to have a drink in the building, and even a decent set of boardgames and some mainstream rpg books.
Easy to spend a good while in a nice atmosphere.

Very nice bookstore i kike going there a lot. They have a lot of different categories and a lot of books available. Servic is very friendly when you have questions. There is also a very nice cafe inside the bookstore. Can reccomend going there even without buying a book.

Nice and very huge, it also has English language books. I had to ask the information book on the second floor to buy a Dutch as a second language book because it's short on supply. Service was also quick and kind.

Super chill location and very friendly staff

This is my absolute favorite bookshop. Excellent and diverse collection of books, and an unbelievable big store with lots of niches on the shelves.

Also, there are special counters where people help you find specific books. You can even pitch topics that interest you, and they will show you all sections that might be interesting to you so you can discover new writers or books.

They even have an antique section with actual antique books and second-hand books for those with a smaller wallet or those who love the climate.

I absolutely recommend.

The Donner Bookstore at Coolsingel 119 is the largest bookstore in the Netherlands. They not only sell books, but also a.o. Dutch and Rotterdam souvenirs and gifts. Absolutely my favorite bookstore. There are two café’s in the store (see my Diner at Donner review).
