Lovely spot for South Africans to go for pre drinks before you head out somewhere else. They have a massive selection of beers available. Looks like they have an incredible dine in menu too! Will definitely try the food next time :) Beautiful views too!

You can dine here at very affordable prices with large portions. Inside, there are many flowers, a pleasant atmosphere, and outside there is a glazed or not garden and a view of the river. Great location and a very pleasant place to eat.

Away from the spotlights of Rotterdam, Ballentent is right besides the Het Park, with view at the Maas

The place is a small traditional eatery, packed with people and flavors.

Nicely decorated restaurant, the staff was very friendly and attentive and their service was very fast and efficient.

The food was delicious too. The meatball is very nice and also the beef stew

Gezellig (cozy) traditional bar/restaurant with ample outdoor and indoor dining spaces, steps from the city center, overlooking the harbor. Travel back in time and taste.

Their meatball specialties, hence the name, are entirely unchanged over the last 120 years. Apparently, even the butcher that supplies the meatballs is the original since the place/'tent' opened in 1902.

We can't wait to go back in the evening, when the place comes alive with a local crowd and old time music. Highly recommended.

A legend in Rotterdam serving just about the very best traditional Dutch meatballs. However we can just pop in for a drink or two with some delicious snacks. The large outdoor dining area is beautiful and in the winter one can sit and have a meal/drinks in a heated terrace enjoying the view....

The service is friendly and the restaurant itself is very well taken care of. There are a lot of indoor and outdoor sitting possibilities. A place not to miss.

We had a fabulous evening of the most amazing food and wine. Everyone was incredibly nice to us and the information they provided on the food and wine made the experience run full circle. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Great, abundant and very reasonably priced food. They have menus in different languages and the service was kind and quick. This seems to be a real local place though and was full of families and friends enjoying a Sunday lunch. A spot to try in Rotterdam!

How can I forget this. I was just passing by the Ballentent and would like to drink something. But than at the menu I read the idea and heritage!

Ballentent = Toptent great location, tried a captains dinner wich is perfect and had a nice friendly service from the staff.

Highly recommend! If you saw pictures of the food plated up, you might give this place a miss as it doesn’t look THAT appealing, however don’t judge a book by its cover definitely applies! We had the meatball and it was amazing. The staff were super friendly and welcoming too.

Get's very busy but with visiting. Book in advance if you can. You can also eat at the bar.
