I visited the ship and took both tours. The tour staff were very attentive and knowledgeable and so the experience was great. Lots of steps though if you do the engine room as no lift! Finished with lunch in the captain's lounge. Great day out.

Would totally recommend the tour. The guides are really knowledgeable and friendly and actually worked on the ship when she was in service. Amazing to see all the wonderfully preserved areas of the ship, both the beautiful passenger rooms and the behind the scenes areas such as the bridge and engine rooms. The latter costs extra but is well worth it.
It's the closest most people will get to experiencing the age of the ocean liners, unless you travel to California to see Queen Mary, but Rotterdam is far more original.

We went for the new year party. We went a few years ago so it was out second time. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere was awesome. The live band and the DJ did a great job. I will be coming back.

We stayed on board for 3 nights as a spring treat, our cabins were very nice, the bar was great but rather busy. We did dined in the lido and the club restaurant. The evening meal in the club was very good apart from the vegetarian option which was lacking in protein and interesting sauces. The ships tour was excellent with very informative and impressive volunteers. Reception staff were friendly. A particularly nice chap was mertz, who worked In the lido restaurant bar. His friendly attitude towards guests was exemplary.
Thank ss rotterdam and see you again. John, Jane lyn and Jim.

We really enjoyed the our stay. The are no very modern, but we liked it. Also the restaurant was very good food and service. It is great, you can take the water Taxi from the Hotel (Ship) to the City.

Get the Rotterdam Watertaxi app and take the water taxi! We spent 1 night on the SS Rotterdam. The service is fantastic. Extremely kind and helpful staff everywhere. Great breakfast buffet. Best part was the boarding platform on the side of the boat to take the water taxi around Rotterdam.

We had a short one day stay here on a family stateroom. The ship is absolutely stunning! The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Our room had a small fridge which came in very handy to keep some cold cuts. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic, unique and history filled ship with enormous character on show for everyone to see in whatever capacity.

The ship is pretty incredible really filled with much history, a must if visit even if you aren't staying and big shout out to the tour guide Malcolm, the absolute boy.

We actually came across a slight issue with our air conditioning unit which leaked onto my bed - we were upgraded quickly from our basic room by the staff on-site (which was extremely small and quite bizzrie, like sleeping in a mirror room) to another room which also leaked but didn't impact our beds so was ok. I knew the risks from reading other reviews about the air conditioning but my love for boats took over. The staff were really accommodating and gave us free tour tickets and free drink on board.

We didn't eat due to the vast array of food in the city and outskirts of Rotterdam - breakfast looked plentiful but unsure for its €20 fee they want....

The liverpoolian who served me at the bar brought a smile to me, im not sure if it was his uniform or not.

If you can download the 'Watertaxi' app you can get a water taxi from £4.50 which is fantastic value and an amazing way to enter SS Rotterdam, my son was in his element and had a massive smile on his face.

It was a fantastic place to stay. Everyone is so incredibly kind and eager to talk about the history of the ship and Rotterdam in general. The food at Lido is excellent and while the hotel is a little far from the metro, there is a shuttle available to take you over. The tour of the ship is a must. We will definitely come back one day 🙂

Staff is very kind and helpful. Excellent view over the city and harbor from the deck. Diner was great. Good prices for drinks and diner. We did not stay the night... Maybe in the future ;-)

I've only been here for a drink at the bar and it was amazing! I also went for a tour of the cruise ship and everything is so shiny and taken care of, with great luxurious design and kind staff. I highly recommend a visit during your stay in Rotterdam.

What a beautiful evening and what a good meal at Lido this Saturday evening... but our extremely noisy neighbors woke us up last night. The people in room 2066 repeatedly slammed their doors violently and spoke loudly in their rooms between 4:15 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Totally disrespectful, it ruined our stay with you a little. At this time, I can not sleep anymore. Disappointment…
More, ocean bar, piano bar closed…

Perfect place with kids for a couple of nights. A hotel experience on its own with the feeling of a classic cruise ship while seeing Rotterdam. The water taxi starts directly from the ship. We also recommend the tour through the ship and it's machine room.

Great staff, rooms are clean and fun. Mini fridge and espresso maker were a great touch. Location requires you to take a water taxi or metro to get to the main city center. Their rental bikes were a superb value and the highlight of my trip to Rotterdam. The atmosphere of the ship sticks with the era in which it was used. It's fun to explore but most of the ships libations are catered towards children and the elderly.
