The Slaak Rotterdam, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Great hotel! The rooms were cozy and spacious. The staff was kind and attentive. I was sad to leave!

Great hotel, great location, amazing service. The people who work here are so welcoming and made it a nice entry point after a long, overnight flight. Big thanks to Nicky for all her help!! Looking forward to coming back.

We stayed here 1 night while visiting Rotterdam. We took the family room, as we were a group of 4. The hotel is located 13 minute walk from the main train station; also close to the places we had wanted to visit. The reception ladies were very nice and welcoming. We were also able to store out luggage and go walk around until our room was ready. Customer service was superb.

The room was very clean and uniquely decorated. The toilet was a separate room then the shower and sink and that was a bit annoying. There was also no hand soap. The beds are on the smaller size, specially for 2 adults.

Another issue is the rooms have a step to get into them. We had a stroller and had to pick up the stroller, I’m not sure if they have something better for people with wheelchairs.

Overall though we did enjoy our stay.

Beautiful hotel with unique design! Friendly staff! Warmly greeted at check in and given an upgrade to the Executive suite. The staff recognized my Marriott status and that a birthday was being celebrated. Given a bottle of wine with a personalized birthday card! The room was extremely nice and more than expected. Very spacious and unique layout. Beautiful view from the huge balcony that wrapped around the entire suite. Good location to the metro within a 2 minute walk, can get to main areas of the city within 10 minutes.

Absolutely beautiful design hotel. Stayed here as a Marriott Platinum member and our room was huge - living room, big table for work, and bedroom. The staff were helpful and location is slightly off the beaten path by about 5-10 min walk. The only downside is the pillows - they are too high! We asked for alternative but both feather and foam were huge in height and not comfortable on the neck. Ended up sleeping with the pillows on the sofa.

We enjoyed our stay in The Slaak a lot. The hotel is not far away from the busy downtown and the famous cubic houses.
The hotel is family friendly and the supermarket next to the hotel is a big plus.

It’s a really funky but very nicely appointed hotel. The rooms are spacious and at least mine has a separate shower area from the toilet making it very easy for a couple to share space. The Metro and Tram is half a block from the entrance and there are a lot of small restaurants in the neighborhood. I did walk from the train station on my way from Amsterdam and it was a nice enjoyable 20 minute walk.

Highly recommend.

The cleanliness and design of the room was a lot better than expected. The loft is just so chic!
This is such a beautifully-designed hotel within walking distance from the train station. If you are interested in design, and a lot of history, The Slaak is a place for your adventures in Rotterdam!

The staff were lovely and very helpful.

The lobby, the hallways and the restaurant — everything was just beautiful and well-maintained.

Minimal and standard breakfast selection but still, a very pleasant weekend experience!

It’s just one of those hotels that make your stay so wonderful it kinda hurts to leave.

Clean and comfortable room with big shower and separate restroom.
The food at the restaurant was great, breakfast and dinner.
And the representatives at the hotel have a very high level of service

One of the best Marriott hotels by far. Other than the nice building, the staff there were excellent. A shout out to people like Yvonne, Sophie, Sebastian and Heny who were friendly, helpful and thoughtful. They provided valuable advice as where to go for meals and sightseeing. The breakfast was to die for and the chef made excellent omelettes. Definitely a wonderful place to stay at in Rotterdam. Easily accessible via the metro at stop Oostplein as well.

Fantastic boutique hotel. The room is superb, equipped with an extra comfortable mattress, nespresso machine, large screen tv and cozy sofa & table. Unfortunately the shower does not have a door, which makes taking a tidy shower a challenge.

The breakfast is great. Organic and fairly traded products are used. It is very well assorted, finding options such as scrambled eggs, bacon, cheeses and also sweeter options.

The service is impeccable and the facilities tidy and designed with a lot of thought. Not far from the city center.

In short, a fantastic hotel!

Stayed in the director suite with two friends for 1 night. Would definitely recommend it. Very spacious two room apartment with a big table and a (sleeping) couch.

It looks beautiful and even though it’s only two months old it has character. The bed is amazing! Exactly what I’m used from good hotels. The sleeping couch was a bit less good, but worked.

We enjoyed breakfast a lot. Very tasty.

Most of all we appreciated the staff. All of them were super friendly and went out of there way to make our stay comfortable. Thanks a lot!!!

Had the pleasure of spending a couple of weeks here in January. The hotel itself is still basically new so everything is in top shape. The fitness centre is just about perfect. The bar (for recovery) is well stocked and a great place to relax in the evening. The rooms are amazing and beautifully decorated. Beds comfortable for a good sleep.

The staff were great from the very first minute. They gave me a fantastic room in the main building. They accommodated every request I had. They were amazing every morning getting me off to a quick start with a delicious breakfast. Can't speak highly enough of the service. It was very much appreciated.

Will most definitely be back when staying in Rotterdam! Highly recommended

Nicely refurbished hotel in 1950’s style with very attentive staff. The hotel is quite new and looks beautiful, especially inside. We went there for my wife’s birthday and got a free upgrade. The room was beautiful where we were able to watch Netflix by simply connection our phone to the television, nice feature. Only small remark was that our shower gel was almost empty, forgot to mention.
Breakfast next day was great, good selection of fresh food (including fresh juices and fruit) and next to this you can order some hot plates.
Also nice was we were able to use the hotel bikes.
Would definitely come back.

Beautiful room, cool music in the lobby and great atmosphere. I had a lot of help from Dennis at the front desk.. he's an intern and I think he will have a great future in the hospitality and hotel business. He has a genuine smile and goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and at home. He made my trip there pleasant. Stephanie was also a great help and a very friendly Indonesian woman from Jakarta that works during breakfast.

Got a really nice room with great views. Public area is modern and tasteful. The two women at the reception were very nice and helpful. The hotel is located outside the immediate city center, about 10 walking minutes from the market hall

Yeah, really liked this place. Funky. Staff verrry helpful. Breakfast was good too - order an omlette. Location a bit out the way. Better than a traditional hotel in the area I think.

What a fantastic experience for my family and I. We stayed here for a long weekend and the service, room and the dining was outstanding. Great staff and a chef at Studio 34! Great location also for exploring Rotterdam! Parking was available on street as well as shared with Lidl parking around the back. Can't wait to go back again!

On arrival and throughout the weekend, the staff were nothing but amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. So helpful and friendly. Loved the style of the hotel, the room was well designed too, only issue was it was too warm but a quick mention to the front desk and the Aircon was turned down right away.
