I live in Hamburg and definitely worth to travel here to fulfill the missing feeling of home/Bali.

The food are so authentic, similar taste as like as in Bali, especially with the spices.

The place is awesome, feels like home and the service is amazingly friendly.

The price is worthy. Would strongly recommend to try this restaurant 😀.

I proudly announce that this is how proper Indonesian food (balinese food) should taste like. As an Indonesia myself, I feel like most Indonesia restaurant has been westernized in term of taste. This place serve a very authentic food, with a balance spice taste and variety of side dishes. If you look for a good representation of Indonesia food, this place has to be on your list🤩

This place offers hands down the best Indonesian food in Amsterdam. The menu changes all the time, but it is very authentic and fresh. Loved it! We took the meals home but next time I will make sure to dine in the small restaurant- it is super cute and intimate.

I can’t begin to explain how good, unique, and deeply tasteful the food I had in Paon Bali was. Excellent experience, also accommodated by the warm hosts. I’ve never been to Bali, but if anything screams authenticity in Amsterdamse gastronomy, then it must be Paon Bali.

Best balinese food in NL. They have a different menu for each day in a week, so better to check it before you come.

We took a box for takeaway. Vegetarian option was also available. Check their website in advance for the menu of the day. It is also possible to reserve a meal beforehand, although walk in was also possible. Delicious Indonesian food. A lot of different dishes together in a box that combined very nicely. Staff was very friendly

Food was incredible. Owners/chefs were super nice/kind too and accommodated my lack of pork eating. Such a large portion too! I had the rest for breakfast. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, wish it was open the rest of my stay in Amsterdam.

Note they have a set menu, so be ready v I get whatever the thing is they’re selling!

I have to say that this is the first time I feel very satisfied after eating Indonesian cuisine in The Netherlands. The food was awesome. Price was perfect. Service was unusually professionally for Indonesian restaurants.

I highly recommended it.

I visited twice on my week trip in Amsterdam. I would have gone every day if my schedule had allowed it. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic; the food is comparable to the best food I had in Bali. The owners are also very kind. I will definitely go back when I return to Amsterdam.

Had an amazing dinner here!
As an Indonesian, I really recommend to pay a visit to Paon Bali to taste the authentic Balinese dish.

First time trying out Nasi Linguan with marinated anchovies, prawn sambal, sambal matah, mackerel in tomato based sauce, and squid! Really glad that they also serve mix of red and white rice. Beware of the spiciness but it’s totally worth it. For the dessert, you can have mungbean & black sticky rice porridge served with coconut milk.

The owners are super welcoming as well!

Lovely is the word that comes to mind instantly: Much as the people, art and handicraft in Bali are beautiful and kind, the service and food here were lovely. There are only two daily changing menus on offer:
A mixed plate with e.g. spiced chicken, crunchy tempeh, spicy egg plant, a marinated boiled egg, amazing green beans and the most delicious, mother-watering roasted pig - or the same as vegetarian option. While we mostly eat vegetarian if not vegan, it would have been akin to a sacrilege to miss out on the rosted Babi Guling - it’s addictive!
With your meal you choose a drink from the fridge - this place is set up with lots of greens and some Balinese art but tiny, so the some tables are booked out every night days ahead. It works mainly - and better - as a take away.
On warm days, grab your generous box of foodie’s delight and sit outside - or even better, directly at the big river Ij.
Timing is crucial: They open at 17h and within minutes the queque goes out the door - well worth the wait though…

She never disappoint when it comes to quality and authenticity of the food. Fresh ingredients, a good variety of original ingredients that will bring you back to Bali. Keeping the menu small allows her to maintain the quality of all the dishes that they offer.
Had a very good food with big portions, a real value of money.
Amazing attention to details and presentation, topped with Balinese smile and hospitality.
A must whenever you’re in Amsterdam, a must to preorder for your assurance to get the food.
The que may be long, but definitely worth it.

Dian & Steven, keep up the good work and share your love of food and Bali with the rest of us!

It was really hard to find a Balinese dish in the NL, especially an authentic one! This restaurant surely provides a delicious and authentic Balinese dishes. I missed Indonesian food so much, and when I ate the food, all the flavors exploded beautifully and harmoniously. I ate Nasi Paon Bali. The portion was generous, all the side dishes were scrumptious. I will definitely go back!
Kak Dian and Steven were both so kind and welcoming.
