I was very impressed with my vehicle, which I rented for a trip from Amsterdam to The Hague and dropped off at Rotterdam. The car was quite clean, fully charged, and in good shape and enjoyable to drive. The person who helped me at the front desk was warm and gracious.

When I arrived at 8am, the office was already open, there was no queue and a car was waiting for me. I got Opel Corsa instead of Toyota Aygo which I suppose it's higher category (for sure it's bigger). The car was pretty new and in good condition. I didn't have problem during drop off.
The only disadvantage is impossibility to return a car out of opening hours. You can leave the car on the street but it costs 6.50 euro per hour.

Very fast and professional place, located in the most central place to pickup/return a car, much better than the airport if you don't need to get there. We returned our car in 2 minutes flat.

Very good experience! I was allowed to choose out of 3 available car models, the staff was really, really friendly, pick up and return worked without any problems. You never know what you get with car rental companies but the cars and the team here are great!

Really easy to rent car from here. No line, agent was quick and courteous. Was nervous that I wouldn't make the return time before they close but you can return the car anytime in their parking structure and put the key in a lockbox. Car was good, gas refill was right at return parking. excellent !!

Rented a car for the weekend, and I was once more pleasantly served.
What else to say? The staff is nice and efficient, the cars are very recent and clean.

Note that the office is conveniently located 5 minutes walking from several tram stops while being some minutes away from the ring! Much nicer than renting from the airport if you love in the city.

Frankly, I was very surprised to read all earlier negative reviews of this place on Google Maps. I booked from this location three times already and had no issues whatsoever.

Last time I booked group D car and got a free upgrade to the next diesel category, which was great for my trip. The most essential benefit of Avis for me was the unlimited mileage, included in the rental offer.
The car was brand new i40 (a month or two old), comfortable and clean. Avis employee explained me everything about possible insurance upgrades and other procedures. Overall I'm very satisfied with the service and will definitely recommend Avis and this particular rental location in Amsterdam.

I’ve rented car in Amsterdam for over a year now and try to compare prices among the rental car companies. The Europcar on Overtoom has always been competitive and the manager and staff friendly and have worked with me to get the car I wanted or needed. I highly recommend this company.

Really nice service, very swift. I used europcar many times they are a reputable company and they will never try to overcharge you for anything. In Amsterdam they are one of a few companies where you can get a car with unlimited milage. Good prices for some very nice cars - I got lucky with BMW 2-S GRAND AUTO whilst only paying for Opel Corsa. Also possible to drop a car out of hours - a time saver sometimes! Would use again without hesitation.

We have used several car rental companies over the years, and always dread when it comes to the hidden/extra costs part. But with Europcar, there was none of that at all - they simply asked us if we needed anything more, which we declined and that was it! We got a free upgrade and the whole process took less time than it took us putting our suitcases in the car boot! We will be using Europcar again for our next trip and recommend them 100%.

Ok, After I reserved the car I decided to read the reviews and was very surprised by the negative ones and a bit nervous. Its been a couple of days since I returned the vehicle and so far everything seems okay. I was only charged for the rental. No other fees added to my credit card. The customer service was friendly and welcoming, I had an excellent experience with AVIS and the vehicle they provided. I plan to visit Amsterdam again and will definitely use AVIS when I return.

I went there early morning and no waiting at all. Staff was super friendly, especially for Amsterdam terms. Be aware that you have to pay for parking if you bring back the car after closing hours. Also difficult to find a spot in the area, wish the municipality would help in a better solution.

Really good experience. Borrowed the car and had a nice service and had a nice journey. Although Amsterdam's roads can be a bit confusing the navigation helped a lot. Clean smooth car and will defo use the their services again when I'm back to Holland.

Friendly service during pick up and drop off. The car was great (exactly what we ordered) and everything worked out fine. We didn’t have any issues at all. We would recommend this car rental office.

Very friendly staff got served immediately without delay and they had everything I needed prepared and ready to go. Buying supercover on top was easy to do and they gave me helpful suggestions like extending the hand back time and explaining that I could hand it back at the airport for only a little bit extra. Also explaining where I could refuel for cheaper would highly recommend avis to anyone!
