everything was delicious, there might be a line but definitely worth it. One of the best in town. Owned and operated by lovey people who also speaks excelent English. Place to sit outside overseeing the Maritime museum.

I recommend trying different fish and sharing as there are a lot of options. I prefer pistolet(white bread) but it ran out this time. Haring was balanced in terms of salt. Crabsalade was very silky and taste.

Consider trying this place before or after for visit the Scheepvaartmuseum (Maritime Museum) for a snack or quick lunch. Don’t forget to check opening times as it is open for 4 days.

This is the best herring in town. Always the freshest fish and friendliest service. The locals flock to it. I prefer this to an overpriced expensive meal at a foo-foo sushi restaurant. Always worth the trip.

Found this gem hidden from in plain sight just in front of maritime museum. Just simple comfort food with full of flavors. You will feel the entire sea that in each bite of this thing. Do not miss this if you are in Amsterdam!

This food truck sits directly across the street from the maritime museum and sees a steady stream of two and four legged visitors. I was warmly greeted by the older gentleman working inside and shown the fresh smoked haring that makes up most of the items on the menu.

Tried the broodje haring which was a generous portion of smoked fish with onions and pickles within a fresh soft bun. It tasted fresh and the mixture of flavours really complemented each other.

My first and definitely not last Dutch haring, fresh and very tasty. Big choice of fish dishes, very nice owner. Reasonable prices, one of the best in Amsterdam

Absolutely delicious kibbeling. A must do at least once a week for lunch or passing by. The owner Nico is super nice and friendly. Plenty of space to queue or eat, tables and benches all around and a very nice view of the Ship Museum. What not to like!

Just insane ! Very kind, he just wanted to make us discover his wonderful fresh fish ! Haring is just perfect, I didn't thought I would like rare fish but I really loved it !

The herring at Kras Haring are the best I've ever had, and I've been enjoying Dutch herring since I lived in Holland in 1973. Their other fish dishes are also excellent. Eel sandwich, crab salad sandwich, fried battered cod. Just wonderful quality.

I was in Amsterdam several times. Every time I see a tent with herring, I go to her place to buy my favorite sandwich with cucumbers and onions. This is the place we visited on our last visit a week ago. It turned out that here it is very tender and the price for it is two times lower than in the center of Amsterdam. If there is a way to this place, then be sure to try herring here. There are many locals, a beautiful and convenient square with benches, as well as friendly staff.

Very delicious herring! Tasty and seemed slightly cheaper than in other locations in city centre. Also a good choice of other seafood. I will definitely return when I visit Amsterdam again.

Top notch herring sandwich. Yes, it looks rough but the taste is nothing like its appearance. It’s buttery and smooth. Kibbeling was great as well - yes, microwaved so not as crispy as I wished but from what I gather, many street stalls are not allowed to be fully equipped with ovens and such. But despite that, the fluffiness is actually a quite nice texture and it’s not dry at all! All in all served with a generous dose of sauce. The man serving us was a gentleman, and he was fast too. Small tables and benches around, so easy to sit near the stall!

My favorite place in Amsterdam to have fish as street food. Owners are extremely welcoming , friendly and professional. Quality is exceptional. Just go there, it is no regret.

Excellent! Very fresh and delicious haring. Quick service and nice staff and owner. We had haring, kibbeling (fried fish) and tuna sandwich. Everything high quality. The fish was very good freshly fried, with a very natural but tasty seasoning.

I am addicted to this place and I wish they open every day. The herrings here are always fresh and tender - the quality is simply better than anywhere else in Amsterdam. Their smoked salmon is delicious too.

Stop by to eat a herring bread, it's to die for!
