Very convenient supermarket close to our hotel. We stopped here to purchase supplies and snacks (like strawberries, fresh breads, etc) during our stay in Amsterdam.

They also have Yakult here which is my wife and 6 year old daughter’s favourite. I’m not surprised as, I believe, the Yakult sold in Europe is made in the Netherlands.

Self checkout was fine. Figuring out how to tap the card was a little difficult as the tap terminal isn’t something I’ve seen before. Once you see it, you realize how easy it is.

You need a receipt barcode to exit the store by scanning the code to open the gate.

Spacious supermarket next to the central station.

The place is well organized and has almost everything.

Well packed place and reasonable prices compared to other stores nearby.

Clean, bright, well-stocked chain of grocery stores that have all you need for your picnic lunch or Airbnb meals. Excellent prices on typical things to take home: Wax-wrapped cheeses that will keep in your suitcase, chocolate, and cookie butter. My son-in-law requested stroppwaffles and I hesitated to buy them at a grocery store, but he said they were the best he's ever eaten. Wide selection of salads, sandwiches, pastries, juices, and fruit to save money compared to restaurant meals. No problem paying with an American credit card.

Small supermarket with most basic needs. The good thing they have a lot cooled drinks. Nice to take and sit somewhere, like in front of the shop at the canal with a beautiful view.

Very good supermarket, timing is disciplined, good variety for bread, butter, water, fruits, salad and many more items needed in this month super market. Very good for tourist near double tree Hilton , . Lot of vegetarian choice and open seven days week. Simple layout and good customer service. Walking distance from hotel and Amsterdam Centraal

Conveniently located next to my hotel. Well stocked including a bakery inside. Lots of on-the-go meals (salads) and fresh produce as well. There’s also an ATM which doesn’t appear on the maps so if you’re nearby and need to withdraw cash, here’s a good option.

This is one of the best Albert Heijn's i have seen. They have excatly what needed if you are on a go. Lots of fresh fruits & veggies, great choice in fresh juices, cooled beers and small bottles of wine. Lots of packed lunches. All basic things you need when you are traveling.

I just recently discovered this location, which has now become my favorite Albert Heijn store. It’s a much bigger AH store than the others I’ve been to. This one offers a more complete produce (fruits & vegetables) section; a fresh meat section; a huge packaged sushi area, more bottled juices & other beverages, and more grocery items like laundry supplies, etc. I didn’t count the self-checkout registers, but there are several of them. And I love that the machine automatically gives you a receipt. Scan the barcode on your receipt on your way out to activate and open the gate (it’s a red box-shaped reader that’s on the left side, about shoulder level). Happy shopping!

Oh my gosh, I could not be more impressed with this store!!!
They sell snacks, pastries sandwiches, drinks etc for incredibly affordable prices! First place we've been in Amsterdam where you can get a bottle of soda for under €2!!!
The store is so clean and tidy and the staff are super helpful and friendly!
The store layout is easy to navigate and the aisles were well stocked with a wide variety of products!
There are really generous bargains throughout the store and reduced items in several departments.
We were able to use self-service checkouts and pay contactless via credit card.
We were able to buy bags at the checkout and they had a bottle recycling scheme which gives you a voucher for instore use!

We had to scan the reciept to get out, this must be a Netherlands thing as it was the same at Lidl! I usually screw the reciept up and throw it into the bottom of the bag - don't be like me!!

This supermarket isn't too far from the station so I'd definitely recommend it to all coming into Centraal Station for a quick bite, a refreshing drink or snacks for the hotel, it'll definitely save you some money on your trip!

Really good smaller AH store with majority of items being convenient for travel. Ham & Cheese toastie however was missing one key ingredient, ham. Lekker and fresh.

This was a great find. Half a block from the hotel we were staying at and I was able to pick up sandwiches and snacks here every day.
