One of the best bookstores in the world. Every time you visit you'll find something interesting, just by glancing around. Every time I visit here. The selection is amazing and represents their idea of providing information about radical and anti-mainstream ideas extremely well, as it's not just the usual anarchist, libertarian books, but a really wide scope of anything and everything out of the ordinary thought. And of course you just have to love both the vibe/atmosphere of the place, and the whole idea of how this place to be and what it represents - the true power of community against an increasingly oppressive world around. Love the story of how the store came to be, and how its kept going. Its a true story of whats unique in the spirit of Amsterdam.

I dropped by this bookstore by chance, as I always do, did not find exactly what I was after that day, but found many other books. It's one of the bookstores that you don't find often, specialized, alternative, independent, and interesting. I'm sure it has something for everyone.

Great selection of queer, antifa, political, fiction etc etc books. The staff person was also helpful when I asked about the books and also was knowledgeable about the books circulating locally which was really interesting. I wanted to read everything. They also have zines, some vinyls, other stuff as well as a good section of 2nd hand books

If you need books to fuel your radical points of view - this is the bookstore for you. Also if you want to broader your point of view or learn about new important subjects. They have both new books and some used (mostly in Dutch, tho). They also have some pamphlets from various countries. Very cozy and friendly.

Could spend hours in here. Walked away with a few zines all different topics for reasonable price, definitely something for everyone

Went here with my sister on our trip to Amsterdam and it was one of the best things we did. There’s a great selection of books; my sister got her anarchist non-fiction and I got my leftist scifi, so there's something here for everyone. We both bought several books and the person working was incredibly nice and let my sister have a free sticker. Definitely would recommend going here!

Very very unique bookstore. Lots of books on critical issues with some interesting pamphlets of various leftist, anarchist writers.

Very interesting (and somewhat obscure) books and pamphlets from anarchist viewpoints. Many books about communism, economy, feminism, revolutionary ideas, and technology are available. There are at least a few interesting ideas to be explored even if you don't agree with the overarching ideas.

Helping to support refugees, I came across this relatively new place. In the basement there are loads of alternative, original and cool creations like bags and clothes. There's a comfy sofa and a small cafeteria with very reasonable prices. They are planning different types of workshops with the first one designing sex toys in February 2016.

Probably the best bookstore in Amsterdam. Really close to Rembrandt's house. Non fiction books, more about communism, economy, anarchy, and technology are available. They provide a safe haven for zines, hand-made and self-published short magazines from all over the world. Books in dutch, english, german, italian, french, etc..

Very unique book store, excellent selection of the books specially with a focus on revolutions and different ideologies. Highly recommend.
