Good for a half an hour short climb on jungle track and step routes. Local coffee and plain water are provided by volunteers at the Station No. 46. Normally hikers will proceed to Station No. 84 in tarmac road which is partially flat and sloping (less than 15 ° gradient). From Station 84 it takes another 40 minute to one hour hike to the Penang Hill top, a tourist spot.

Hiking trip up to the hill. Nice at sunshine day. Great view all the way with threes. Feeling fresh air and tweeting.

Rest station with toliets free boiled water, tea and perhaps some entertainment of monkeys trying to steal stuff. Watch your belongings.
Freindly attendants and well used by locals doing fitness routines.

Landmark for 1.5km road to Penang Hill. After this the road are not much steep as before

It took about 30 minutes to reach Station 46 from the entrance from Botanical Garden. Lots of staircases. Good workout. Not as busy as trail to Station 5 from Youth Park. You can continue your journey to Station 5 or 39. It can take another 1 hour to Station 5. Prepare to sweat. Enjoy. I am glad we have good hike trail in Penang.

Much needed rest stations along the way if you're hiking Botanic Gardens to/fro Penang Hill. It's a great walk but the road is steep so these rest stops are much appreciated. Monkeys are common in the area, just don't provoke them. They're used to people.

Near this stop, if you go the unpaved path you will end up going down the stairs to the Botanic Gardens. It is a long and tiring path. It felt like a thousand steps honestly. Dangerous if you're not careful or clumsy. My legs hurt like crazy days after.

A nice place to relax... drink fresh water which was boiled. You can also feed some friendly jungle doggies if you want.
