House of Allah - women section accessible through the door on the right side of the mosque when you stand in front of it (first floor). Please be informed that there is no AC, only fans that didn’t work when I was there. It is a beautiful mosque at an unique location. To all Muslims visiting this mosque for jummah: during the khutbah you LISTEN and be QUIET. Its sad to see so many on their phones, talking, praying during the khutbah because it invalidates your prayer… may Allah swt guide us all

This beautiful mosque is actually built on stilts but at high tide it appears like floating on water, hence the name.

It has a mix of Middle Eastern and local architectural style with a prominent minaret. It can accommodate up to 1,500 worshippers at a time.

Its construction started in 2003 at a cost of RM15 million. It was opened to the public in January 2005.

On the way back from Cat Beach Sanctuary we had time to stop at the Masjid Daerah Timur Laut (Floating Mosque) located in Tanjung Bungah for Asar prayer.

Limited parking space but easy to park. A large and comfortable prayer hall, after praying you can relax outside while watching the sunset.

We went to the mosque in the evening so we weren't allowed to go in. Therefore we had to go from the back, along the rocks to view it in the night light. The sea was very beautiful in the moonlight.

As a request by foreign friend, visited this unique mosque (so call floating mosque) out of curiosity.
The experience was very good, greeted by a Chinese speaking staff, who is very helpful and polite. No restriction and every visitor is welcome.

Newly painted the day I visit. Very well maintained all the facilities excluded male toilet. Need more details and care. The ambient very good since you can hear air breeze in, the seawater below hits the shore. Very relaxing and pleasing.
Surely will come again whenever I’m nearby.

My first time entered this floating mosque and my smile and greetings were reciprocated with warm smile of the staff in attendance. The praying hall is open to public and you can hear your echo even when you talk. Keep your voice low. The Mihrab is intricately decorated.
