Rainbow Paradise Beach Resort

About 30 minutes away from George Town. Buses regularly go straight past. Beach ok, nothing major 😒. It's cheaper than a hotel in George Town. As a visa run, it is very possible, but I would stay in George Town for ease. Big rooms. Air b@b. One bedroom. Taxis was cheap with grab, so was ordering food.

lovely 4 night stay at rainbow paradise. the one bedroom apartment is spacious, it has a living room and a bedroom. the view of the beach and mountain from our room is spectacular. we are able to view the sunrise from the lift lobby area and sunset from our room.

the wifi is speedy.

the staff are friendly and serve with a smile. i like that the housekeeping staff greet you sincerely.

the swimming pool is cold though. it's much warmer in the sea. 2 pool towels are given for each card. great to warm up with the towels.

there is a small gym and tennis court.

the lifts are old but speedy. do make sure to check out earlier than 12pm to avoid waiting more than 15 mins for the lift.

the hotel is very conveniently located near to Georgetown. there are public buses at 2.50 myr per person to take you there. you can also visit the penang national reserve at 2.50 per person.

Overall I only will give less than 1 star because we did function at Laguna ballroom on 13 Jan 24, the food was terrible for dinner, fork, spoon and glass no clean at all. Ballroom Aircond don't have Aircond I think management trying to save the cost.

Let's come to room, room was fantastic view and only minor clean issue.

Large room with side kitchen and with clean carpet. Walking distance to a nearby wet market and food court.

An awsome.place with a very great view, good beach and long. A bar on the beach with some delicious food. A very good view. Rooms are also good and mostly towards sea so very good option to visit

This was one of the places we stayed in Malaysia and the best one.

Rooms were huge with beautiful sea view and breakfast options were amazing compared to anywhere else.

Nice hotel for the price. Rooms are old already, it's clear that the renovation is strongly recommended. But still good. Housekeeping is quite slow, but never mind..

I checked the reviews before coming and they clearly were not giving justice to the place so I want to adjust that after my stay here.
The hotel is very nice. There is everything that you can wish for: café, bar, pool, shops, sea... The personnel is very friendly and helpful. The room has a beautiful view onto the sea and it is huge. I didn't expect to have a living room, kitchen and 2 balconies on top of the bedroom and bathroom just for myself. Lots of past reviews I read were complaining about the sanity of the hotel but I can tell you, it is very clean. If some people go to the extent of complaining about the carpet in the corridor there is then nothing clearly wrong about their stay.
The location is also great, directly on to the beach and midway between Georgetown and the national park. I highly recommend staying at this hotel, the price/quality ratio is great.

This hotel has been our go to hotel in Penang since before the pandemic. The hotel has “aged” quite a bit since then and it’s a completely new team running the hotel now. If you’re looking for a luxurious stay, this may not be for you. The location is great and the views are amazing.

We stayed in this hotel for a week and the best part of this stay was the hospitality of the staff there. The housekeeping staff were friendly and incredibly thoughtful. We didn’t request for clean up everyday, but every-time we passed by the staff cleaning other rooms, they would greet us and offer to pass us things to make our stay more comfortable.

Firdaus from the front desk was trying so hard to get us our favourite room (we had forgotten the number after the hiatus). He was very prompt in attending the issues we had with our key and safe upon checking in.

Our 2 favourite people there were the awesome, beautiful and fabulous ladies, Sam and Sarah! They were so helpful when we sought some advice and they were completely accurate when we took their advice too. They were so down to earth and friendly, such foodies who offered us the perfect recommendations to suit what our palates were craving for. A truly memorable time made more fun with these two.

Sam and Sarah, if you do have a chance to read this please start that band already! Hope to see you again in our next trip. Thank you so much for everything!

The cheapest resort in Tanjung Bunga with amazing seaview. You will never regret to stay here

This is our 16 visit to paradise.our second home .we love location .from our check in at reception AIN AND staff make you welcome.since COVID new manager. Mr. BRIAN NORRIS. SINCE OUR VISIT LAST OCTOBER. HE HAS DONE A LOT OF RENOVATION.THE CATERING IN BREEZE CAFE IS NEW FRANCHISE. .MR RICHARD. NAZARANI CATERING. FOOD VERY GOOD AFTER LAST YEAR FOOD WAS REALLY AWFUL OUR ROOM IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND OUR ROOM BOY. .SHAHIDUL ISLAM HOUSE KEEPING IS ONE OF THE BEST WE HAVE HAD IN ALL THESE YEARS.THE STAFF AT POOL ARE VERY HELPFUL SO ALL THE BAD REPORTS FROM LAST YEAR ARE NO MORE YOU COULDN'T WISH FOR A BETTER PLACE TO STAY .NICE POOL FOR CHILDREN MR MRS BARRIE FROM.ENGLAND

Nice, comfortable and big room. Located in front of the beach. Have a balcony and really enjoy the sea view (sunset & sunrise).

CON :
We booked the room with wifi but there is no wifi during our stay. There is no Halal food/restaurant nearby. You have to order Grabfood. TV channel is limited.

Glhave nice view swimming pool and clean room

One can visit the observatory deck after the email. One of thr kind revolving experience. The food is ok but the service is good. Waiters sing birthday songs for the guests, together with complimentary cakes with candles. Very nice atmosphere.

It's quite an old looking hotel but it is still a lovely hotel. Big rooms, good food and nice entertainment by the beach at night. Nice to walk on the beach too. Lovely swimming pool but hope they'll be more strict on people who jump in should not wear tshirts and trackpants into the pool.

This hotel has spacious room and the location is very suitable for those who wanna rest. I take this room from other private host not directly from the hotel management. Very easy deal with J Suites Management. Parking very easy. Will definitely come again here.
