I'm visiting Penang for the first time and I have to say this restaurant by far serves the best food I've ever had here. Everything on the platter tasted phenomenal, especially with the fried fish and chicken satay.

The environment is very relaxing and services are excellent. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone that's traveling to Penang. Don't forget to ask the bartender for the cocktail menu! All of the drinks are self designed at this place :)

Simply something different. This Safe Room is redesigned from the previous one to meet elegance, taste and premium. Tasting the food which is rich and savoury makes us feel worth the penny. The food presentation is outstanding. The staff's services are calming and make us feel so welcomed. Although the food took a while to be served the attitude of the staff and the whole package of the meal was very satisfying. Recommended for those who put weightage to taste compared to price. The ambience was comfortable and felt so homely. Thanks for a wonderful evening

Loved the maharaja fried rice, very hearty portion. The rice, rendang and fried chicken thigh were all expertly prepared and delicious. Mushroom soup was to die for, possibly the best I've ever had, don't miss it!

The linguine was unfortunately overcooked, and the sauce was a bit too watery. Ice cream mocha float was the standard fare.

Nice place to have farewell or function dinner. The place quite unique for me because it’s heritage building with the decoss. The cafe owner is muslim, so no worry. Recommended!!

Went last minute to celebrate my friend’s birthday! Staff were helpful and friendly! Food is great ! Got a private room for this occasion with extra Rm100 . Worth it !

1. Hokkaido Miso Lamb (RM 42) [5/5] - Flavorful and delicious! A little tough but I like my meat a little tough. Makes me wanna eat it with rice. The cheese under it reminds me of a burger tho, I don’t know why.

2. Finding Nemo Kids Meal (RM 21.90 ) [4/5] - Crispy and juicy. Half expected the flour to be like instant fish and chip but it’s surprisingly flavorful. Big portion. Mason finishes the whole thing!

3. Strawberry Quencher (RM 18.90) [3/5] - Sweet and full of soda. But big glass tho. My son loved it.

When we came the liquid nitrogen ice cream was not available. I should come back to try that.

Delicious food definitely! Also friendly kakak waitress and all helpful staff provided excellent services as they teamed up with my husband to surprise me on my birthday. Many thumbs up!

I give this place a 5-star because of my nephew birthday and family CNY gathering.

Even though we have to wait for about 30 minutes to be seated (not complaining because we were early but at least serve some refreshment for us while waiting) and more than an hour for the tomahawk (thinking the tomahawk need to be defrost or the chef is not available) but I do enjoy spending time with my family.

Overall, we were having our lunch for 3 hours.

The waiter and waitress were friendly and helpful for taking photos and video of chef cutting the tomahawk and sprinkling salt like salt bae (anyway, i hate sale bae) 🤣.

We ordered number of dishes but the highlight was the tomahawk. And ran out of nitrogen 🐰🐰🐰

Overall, a very nice experienced. Luckily, I chose this place over Emily.

Hope to see waiter and waitress smile more often.

Booked for party more than 10 which they able to accommodate to it, ample area for big group.

Awesome recommendations from the staff on food of choice, we like almost everything she recommended especially Black Angus Ribeye, salmon grill and mushroom soup.

Parking little bit hassle but there is private parking nearby with less than 3 minutes walking distant.

Will definitely come back again for their coconut ice cream.

A restaurant whole a visit. The food is nice so as the drink. The ambient of the whole place was cosy. Just that initial order was disappointed as we ordered for nitrogen ice cream and guava mojito nitrogen but they run out of nitro end up ice cream was cancelled and the guava mojito without nitro, but the saviour of the night is their Operation Manager Izzreen who was so nice and apologetic towards the hiccup, but I'm overwhelmed by her hospitality and made the night felt better even without nitro. Will definitely come again to try out the nitro ice cream and their mocktails.

Firstly it is signposted/marked on the map as Epicure so if you see this sign, it also seems to be The Safe Room.
We are a young, large family of 6 with 4 little ones 5 and under. As we were the only ones there at 6ish in what seemed like a formal and funky decorated (large stuffed peacock, large bright retro paintings) dining space without a kids menu, I was worried how we would go but turns out this was the best meal we had in Georgetown/Penang.
The staff spoilt our kids by generous meals (pasta, burger, fish and chips) which they all enjoyed and finished, also taking them to the kitchen to entertain them whilst waiting, giving complimentary fries when they saw they devoured the first order and even gifting our youngest boy the dino truck that happened to be on the cashier counter.
We really enjoyed the tasty adults meals too, very tasty Asian inspired American style steak menu. I had the prawn curry (?forgotten the name) and my husband had the steak. This was the first time we had a meal that we all trusted, not only from a hygiene and food quality perspective but also in terms of knowing they understood that our kids wouldn't eat spicy food. It was more expensive than other places but I think it was good value and we'd happily return.
This is a hidden gem that surprises. We would recommend to any families looking for a satisfying western/Asian fusion meal!

Second visit here! Always enjoyed coming here as the ambience is wonderful. Comfortable with light music and excellent food.

Their food selection or rather large, so do not worry about not having anything to order. They have sides, snacks, mains, drinks and desserts for you to choose from.

It is rather hidden in a small alley but definitely worth a visit.

Been here 2 days straight. The food was great. Staff also nice. Everything was good. Definitely will be on my list whenever i come to penang. Very recommended. You gonna love it….♥

I have planned a surprised birthday dinner for my darling husband, my both sons and my sister. Mr Syed was so helpful and made my dinner plan successful. Highly recommended especially when you are planning for any surprise lunch or dinner. The staff are friendly and always ready to assist you. The place is good for gathering amongst friends and families.

The food was very Good. The presentation of the food was also very nice. The ambience is a bit warm. Maybe can reduce the AC to make it more comfortable.

First time checking out this place! Loved the ambience! It has multiple sections following different themes. Perfect for a small gatherings too. We ordered the following:

1) Mushroom soup and garlic bread 9/10 (the garlic bread was super soft and perfect to be dipped into the soup). Soup portion good for one person.

2) Baked Tasmanian Oyster 4/10 (priced at RM39.90 but didn’t quite meet my taste and expectation, it was very bland)

3) Cheeseburger Springroll Lamb 9/10 (loved it, see the pics attached)

4) Osaka Miso Lamb 8/10 ( good to order for those who doesn’t want a heavy meal, lamb cubes were marinated well and serving were just nice for one)

5) Pan Seared Norwegian Salmon Fillet 7/10

6) Coconut Nitro Ice Cream 8/10 (the whole coconut was filled with ice cream, not just the top scoop so it was worth the price paid)

Overall, we will go back to try more dishes as we were happy with their services as they were very attentive too 👌

Great food and very friendly and fast service. Very good alternative to the street food options in Georgetown

A cozy n cool cafe to come for foods, drinks n desserts. Must try their "dragon breath" which is popcorn in nitrogen gas, super cold and crunchy, the lamb rack is highly recommended too. The speciality here for dessert is the nitrogen coconut ice cream, must try. Basically, all items is the menu is all above average standard. Super highly recommended.
