DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang

We booked 1 twin and 1 king guest room (without breakfast) for a 2-night stay to celebrate my mother's birthday.

A complimentary birthday decoration was arranged for us.

Overall, we are very pleased with the services, from the checking in, even to the parking attendant, who was very well mannered and friendly.

The room is big, plenty of space to walk around. Both the twin bed and king bed are equally big. We love the flooring and the small carpet near the bed as it is nice on the feet while we walk around.

The shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash, and hand lotion are all from Crabtree & Evelyn and we love the smell.

Our only less than excellent feedback is probably on the parking. To be more precise, navigating the different floors of the parking could be challenging as it was a bit narrow.

A great hotel for family with kids, the hotel has great pools especially the kiddie pools. They also have kids club where kids can do crafts, play toys, watch movies, my daughter enjoyed her time here very much. The beach is nothing to shout about, though across the street from the hotel, it is easily accessible via an overpass, still it is good enough for our daughter to play with sand and the waves. Overall a good experience, we only left the hotel for dinner.

Clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel has great facilities. Only slightly negative point was that our room wasn't ready at check-in time. As the staff wasn't proactive in solving the issue I had to push a bit for a solution.

We stayed for one night and encountered an issue with our room during check-in. However, they promptly upgraded us to a suite. Sharlini was incredibly helpful and professional; the customer service was top-notch. Having stayed at numerous hotels before, I can confidently say that the front desk service here was exceptional. Amber was also there to assist us; she remained calm and composed. The bellboys were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. Additionally, the general manager reached out and was very friendly. I have no complaints regarding the service received. I will definitely visit again.

Great staff, extremely helpful, polite and attentive. Everyone was just so nice. Good swimming pool, the beach is not that nice (like all other beaches in Malaysia) but it was nice for a morning walk.
Breakfast was great.
They provide some nice perks for diamond members. I would definitely stay here again despite the distance to George Town- but not a problem with Grab

Easily one of my best stays at a hotel. The staff went above and beyond in creating a wonderful environment from check-in, to the buffet breakfast and even in the hallways. Keep up the good work 🏆

The front desk is giving me a great service even though I arrived at 5 am in the morning. The staff provided great hospitality which make me feel really comfortable. The beach is the only downside. Its a bit murky. Overall great place to stay.

Beautiful resort. During our time here after Lunar New Year, there were many kids, using the swimming pools. Not much of a beach to speak of. Good selection for breakfast. Good service.

We had a wonderful time and the staff here made our visit to Penang all the more enjoyable. Comfortable rooms and bedding combined with the peaceful nature of the location along Batu Ferringhi coast make it a perfect getaway. The lounge and breakfast staff were so hospitable and always helpful, same with housekeeping. A special thanks to Ms Shirley for her hospitality and giving us a run down of what to do and where to go. Unfortunately the pedestrian bridge to the bus stop and beach was out of service so guests must cross a busy road with no zebra crossing or safety guard, however the public bus 101 runs frequently and is quite reliable, plus the arrival time on Google maps is accurate so getting into town is a breeze. Ultimately what makes this hotel worth the visit is the peaceful environment and the locely staff.

Great hotel with very good staff, very good service at reception, bar, and concierge. Perfect for a family getaway with good facilities at the pools, great breakfast, good selection at the bar. There are also plenty of activities for younger kids that can be very useful for families. There is also the option of walking across the pedestrian bridge to the nearby public beach which is quite nice when it is quiet in the morning.

Great experience at this hotel. The room is slightly humid but still bearable. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. Got easy access to the beach via bridge but includes a lot of stairs (not recommended if bring elderly). Loveee their breakfast buffet! Will come here again just for the buffet :)

Lovely place connected to a cozy beach across the road. Breakfast was superb, rooms were clean and smells nice. Parking is payable as daily rate, and the corners are tight to fit a bigger longer car. But overall great experience, would definitely visit again.

Just wanna say a special thanks to Hema from front desk who went out of her way to make our stay exceptionally comfortable. Everything from the breakfast which was divine with a wide variety of food.. to the room which was always clean and well maintained. Will recommend this hotel to any family.

Doubletree was really value for money. Their buffet breakfast and other meals were fresh and decent. Pool could do with a refurbishing but otherwise it was nice to swim in. Small gym which still met my needs. Grab to go anywhere as the immediate area has only Miami beach to savour. A peaceful resort to relax in.

The Axis Lounge staff are great. They really taking good care of us as I brought my children along during evening cocktails session. Especially Ms. Milah who is observant enough. Keep up the great service. Will come again.

My boyfriend chose this place because he thinks I would love it more than the other hotel in Penang. You can see from our view the Beach and the tall buildings. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating and the food was superb. They have complete amenities and we had a comfortable sleep unlike the ones we had before.

This hotel is perfect for vacation. Stayed here for 3 nights. I have never slept better in any other hotels or even at home. This hotel's ambience is so calming and I loved hanging out at the lobby in the evening, drinking tea.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They're efficient and the fact that even the cleaners greet you with a huge smile, goes a long way.. Made my stay very pleasant.

Highly recommended! Stay with no expectations and you will be surprised with the warmest welcome and warm chocolate chip cookies upon check in.

Thank you for making my stay so pleasant that I want to stay here longer but I will be back.

Spent two nights staying in Hilton. The hotel is pretty clean even at the balcony. When I got there the light bulbs at the beside were faulty. Called the care line and maintenance came to fix it within 15 mins. The pool has a bit of straws from the trees. Water feels clean. There’s also pool table at ground floor if you are bored. The location is a bit out of the way. So it’s better if you drive.

We had a CNY eve buffet dinner at Makan Kitchen. There was many types and variety of food and drinks to choose. Love the dessert section the most. The service was awesome. The weather in Penang is extremely hot so we were still sweating even though we were sitting under the fans.

Staying at this hotel was a pleasure, thanks to Saiful Islam for the anniversary decorations in our room. I really appreciate it. The staff was incredibly friendly, and they upgraded my hotel room to the Executive Suite for our celebration. The excellent service truly made our visit unforgettable
