Flamingo Hotel By The Beach,Penang

Everything is smooth. Fast check-in. Got sea view room as per booking. Spacious room with a comfortable swimming pool even though there are a lot of people, many restaurants nearby hotel. But parking is a bit less and the choice of food for breakfast is quite limited.

Good Hotel the minus thing is the Air conditioner is so noisy and the shower water is not good for washing hair. the rest is good. the room is big enough and the view quite nice.

We came here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and she loves it. She had the king size bed and her own bathroom. We had the corner lot where we watched the moon, sunset and sunrise ! 👌

We really enjoyed our stay. We booked the remodeled room and the seaview was awesome! The view was definitely worth the price.
The room was spacious with plenty of storage. The bed was comfortable. Pillows nice and soft. Towels and linens fresh and clean.
We used the balcony daily and didn't even have to turn on AC in the evening because of the cool ocean breeze.
We also enjoyed the pool. There were plenty of chairs for lounging.
The beach area was also nice, but I wouldn't go in Penang's polluted beaches. You can literally see the runoff in the beach and from our balcany. Having a pool at the hotel was definitely a bonus after a hot sweltering day.
We didn't purchase the buffet, so can't comment on it, but there are restaurants and food courts within 10-15 minutes walking distance. There's also a bus stop right in front of the hotel. There's a small convenient mart inside the hotel's lobby that you can purchase drinks, snacks and some souvenirs.
We loved our stay with Flamingo, especially the ocean view, and would definitely return.

Always come here whenever im in Penang, location is so perfect, beach down there.. Malls within few mins drive... Rooms are not perfect.. Half baked renovation, but space is nice.. Balcony size is perfect, plenty of food choices for breakfast as well

I visited this place with my family last weekend, and the rooms were superb! We had three connected rooms for our big family, making it easier for us to access one another. The food was good, the pool was awesome, and the service was great! We'll definitely be coming again.

​We came for our honeymoon and took ocean view deluxe room... the hotel was well furnished, beautiful, view off ocean is nice, very clean, got shower, hairdryer, got iron box too.. the bed was so comfy and new.. got 4 thick and soft pillow + 1 small pillow.. I really enjoyed the room.. I wanted to come stay again just for the hotel rooms...the pool very clean....the food was superb.. the staff was very kind and polite.. very quite . the aircon was cold.. shower was working good.. the housekeeping superb, when I asked for extra water bottle , the housekeeping came up immediately.. At first I booked 3 days and 2 nights, after staying at flamingo, ended up in extending another day because the facility was too good... the check​ in was really quick.. I got check​ in 1 hour earlier.. got a hanger, bathrobe and slippers too.. the balcony got 2 chairs.. fully satisfied for what we paid, happy customer... keep it up flamingo team..​​ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the “Flamingo Hotel” during my vacation in Penang. I must say that it was a truly delightful experience. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was impressed by its the exterior and beautiful places. The staff greeted me warmly and were happy to assist with any queries.
My room was spacious and tastefully decorated. It’s well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a large bed, comfortable seating area and a clean bathroom. The room also had a desk and chair, a television, and a mini fridge, which was convenient for storing any snacks or beverages.

Besides that, I was struck by the breathtaking sea view from the room and the private balcony. It was such a treat to wake up each morning to the beautiful sight of the sea, and it made for a truly memorable vacation experience.

Satisfied and looking good for us on an short vacation,easy access free parking and located near beach that suit us.

OVERALL MY KIDS WERE VERY HAPPY, THAT IS WHAT MATTER MOST, AND WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK.

LIKES: Check in, waited about 30-40mins, but oklah, maybe need to standby more Front desk personnel during check-in time.
Bell guy (sorry forgot his name, night shift) was very helpful. Parking quite limited but oklah. Requested extra floor mats from housekeeping via room call, kena saying something like, "WE NOW MANY FULLY BOOK, NO EXTRA" alamak takut kejap haha, I apologize and said ok understand TQ.
Later, at the front desk, met Mr Vincent Ng, who was very helpful, kind, informative & friendly. I requested for a broom, (kids got back from beach, sand everywhere) as I do not want t bother the housekeeping crew since its already 7pm. Anyhow, he told me after dinner come back to FD to collect fresh floor met from him.
The room was nice, facing the seaside. AC working well, needed time to cool off the room but at night was better, colder.
Beach sand was really nice, many nice seashells, swimming pool was nice, (tho many visitors not following the no TSHIRT rules, only swimwear allowed)
We did not have breakfast but did order room service, the spaghetti bolognaise was nice (took about 40mins, maybe kitchen bz haha)
Mini bar function was ok.. hairdryer also ok.

Disliked · I just have few suggestions
1. Since your room comes with balcony, maybe the mgmt can consider putting out an extra floor mat inside near sliding door, so can wipe off dirt from the balcony floor.
2. Toilet door need some TLC, at the bottom part, mgmt can consider investing a type of stainless steel plate or something at the bottom part of the door so the water from shower doesn't cause more damage that it is (wood rotting out) was really unpleasant to look at ... haha (its better than changing the whole door, the top part all good condition)
3. At the showering area, maybe can install the corner rack / holder, for your guest to put their shower gel/shampoo bottles inside showering area, not on the floor while showering, if not have to go back and forth wet the whole toilet floor (hence needing the extra floor met).
4. I do think the mgmt need to get NEW mattresses. The one I was sleeping on was errr, really bouncy.
5. I not sure if the beach area can be clean or maintain by the Flamingo Mgmt, but even so, I think the mgmt should consider help to clean the beach area every once a while. I understand the rubbish thrown by people visiting or come from the sea, still I think your team can do some cleaning, as there were broken beer bottles, can drinks, plastic bags and rubbish (not a lot but its there) Maybe can provide some trash bins too.

The hotel is ideally located at Beachfront.
The rooms are spacious but the pillows are very hard. Need soft pillows in hotel rooms.

The room is facing the sea, albeit partially. The room comes with full amenities expected of a hotel.
The pool is big and suitable for kids. The beach is just 30sec a way and we can walk along the beach for 1km or so. The breakfast is abundant and the price for a kid is reasonable (RM25).
The only con is parking has no direct lift to the rooms. It is advisable to drop the luggage at the lobby, park your car, and check-in.

Spacious rooms, have iron, iron board, safe almirah. Simple lightings and spacious balcony with beach view. Food was good, had breakfast only.

Overall r good just need some maintenance for room. Staffs are very friendly, really good services. Food for breakfast are variety. Overall cleanliness are good.

Its my second time here, overall is good. The beach view is very beautiful and makes me want to come again.

By the time I arrived, my room already cleaned and ready for me to check in. The staffs were very friendly and replies to our inquiries without any problems.

There is a mart nearby if you feeling hungry during the night, it just 5 minutes walk. It was a strategic location and I got room with fantastic seaview. It worth my money. My family and I enjoyed our 3 days 2 nights stay.

Room really great but limited parking space.
Staff not friendly. When im asking about parking she just ignored n talked to colleague. I nid to ask her for 3x n then only wanted to explain to me.
Location is good but do note that they will lock d door at nite. Thus if u at d beach until very late nite u will nid to use back alley there to back to hotel.
