The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat

One of the finest private villa experiences in Malaysia. This place is very private, making it a relaxing and fun staycation for couples. Luxury stay. It is very clean, and feels close to the nature. Stayed here last October 2023 and now in February 2024. Definitely going back here again. Staffs are very well trained to give us the luxury experiences, always gives you a very much welcomed feeling. Facilities are excellent. Finest!

Had a weekend stay here with the wife. On arrival we had an unfortunate incident at the lobby, but the manager on duty (Theng) was quick to attend to us and handled the situation well making us feel at ease. The location and amenities are world class. Dinner was at Jeff’s cellar, which was definitely a memorable experience. Chef Boon is an amazing chef, humble and creative. He came out at the end to chat which was lovely. Would definitely recommend!

Omg this place is incredible. We only went for the day so can’t say anything about the rooms but the property is truly magnificent. It’s a place so special that if you have the privilege to experience it it makes you think about your life and just say “wow, I am so blessed.” The cold shower directly into the 41 degree pool built into the natural hot spring lake is incredible! Also loved the natural steam cave and cold plunge pool. Words and pictures cannot show how special of a spot the Banjaran truly is. Service and food are also spectacular. Thank you so much for having us.

The resort is a magical place. I have never felt so comfortable and happy.
The villa was beautiful. The private pool and the hot tub fed by the springs are amazing.

The course menu in Jeff's Cellar with background music is a must. The ambience of the cave is simply unique

Without a doubt worth a trip. I hope I can make it there again.

Perhaps not cheap but i'd say for what you get this place is undervalued. Each room (stand-alone villas) comes with both a private pool and a hot spring jacuzzi

Certain areas could need a lift-up. Gym equipment for instance was below standard. Nuisances in the bigger picture though

Absolutely love this place!! Friendly staff, superb service, great environment, and good food. The staff made our stay super comfortable by going above and beyond. Told them it was our babymoon and thought we would have some simole deco done. But when we arrived, we were pleasantly shocked to not just cute deco, but also some extra amenities to make things comfy for this preggo mom. Will def recommend this retreat. It's really worth what you pay, and more. Definitely coming back after baby is born.

An excellent resort and equally outstanding service from their staff, especially Susan and Haarvin! Enjoyed our stay here and so self sustaining that we needn't leave the resort at all. The Pomelo restaurant served sumptuous meals and afforded us heart-warming service.

The landscape and surroundings have been impeccably maintained. Such a delight to have taken a short break here. Highly recommended and can't wait to return! Keep it up Sunway!

We visited the Banjaran Hotsprings for a spa day on my mom's birthday and instantly fell in love with the stunning resort. The following day, we made the spontaneous decision to stay overnight and celebrate at this captivating location. The reception staff, particularly a thoughtful Malay girl (whose name I unfortunately forgot), went above and beyond by arranging a special birthday surprise for my mom. With the enchanting hot springs, breathtaking nature, and overall allure of the resort, my mom couldn't have asked for a more perfect celebration at this beautiful and secluded getaway.
The same staff member inquired about the suitable time to remove the decorations, and precisely at 8 pm, a team of staff arrived to refresh the room. They changed the bed sheets, tidied up the room, and even replaced the robes, despite us not having spent the night yet.
I rated everything as 5 out of 5, except for the service. While some staff members were not as friendly and didn't greet with a smile, it was a minor hiccup. Overall, the experience was excellent. We plan to return and will enthusiastically recommend this hidden gem to others.

We bought the day pass and absolutely loved it, super worth the money and included a lunch/spa voucher which was enough for a decent meal for the two of us. Can’t recommend the pandan tiramisu dessert though, quite strange. I recommend to get there early and explore first as they have beautiful mediation caves located beyond the gym which close at 6. They have carts which take you where you need to go, although on the day pass everywhere is walkable from the spa. We also used the gym which was a little more basis but we were able to do a good workout and the only ones in there. Also a lush setting!

Reception during check , visitor are encouraged to hit the gong. Interesting experience. Cuppa of chill welcome drink and cold towel to freshen up.
Spa and wellness: Massage was great in the pavilion. Went to sleep like a log. There are hot onsen pools, cold pool, steam and crystal cave and a swimming pool. Personally , I like the onsen pool the most!
Pomelo : the place for a wonderful breakfast to start the day. Great service and food! Lunch menu is very extensive as well with western and local delights to choose from.
Villa is really exclusive with jacuzzi and swimming for water villa.
Very scenic and calm place to recharge for a year end wrap up!

Amazing, possibly the best resort you could go to in Malaysia. High standards for everything, amazing food (especially the cave restaurant) and the rooms are something else. We had a private pool and private geothermal hot tub. A must try if you are in Malaysia. The staff are definitely some of the best any hotel could offer.

Pomelo restaurant was lovely. Had the best beef cheeks ever and fantastic creme brule. Only the tables were uncomfortable. They have a lovely spa with hotsprings and caves, worth getting a day pass. Kin Fei was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!

This place is an absolute dream come true! Spells “HEALIN” at every corner of the place.

Excellent service by Dini! She was really bubbly and friendly! Love being attended by her. Overall service was still good and on par.

Very clean and very well organised! Wasn’t very hard to understand the layout. Complimentary caviar upon checking into the villa added a personal touch to my liking 😋
The buggy service and scenic walkways is prob the cutest thing!

The housekeeping was 10/10. A lot of surprises each time!

Really an excellent place!

My partner & I visited The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat in January after seeing all of the great reviews. We went in with high expectations, but our expectations were still exceeded. All of the staff were so wonderful and kind to us but in particular, Kim Fei & Emerson were a stand out. The hotsprings surrounding was stunning & memorable. A holiday we will remember for a while.

It was so serene and beautiful and quite cause it’s got a no kids policy so my husband and I enjoyed the calmness , view and hotspring experience more.
They have 4 hotspring tubs which are quite big and relaxing! They also have an ice bath dipping pool which you should try to cool your body.
The food was great too!
Will definitely go back soon ❤

The best luxury resort I have been to, to date.

The quality of the rooms, amenities and above-and-beyond friendly staff, was top tier during our stay.
So much so that 'The Banjaran' has now become the gold standard to compare to when I travel. 🥇

There are pools, gyms, daily yoga studios, massage parlours, caves, the geothermal hot springs with swim pools reaching 44°C, with the spring steaming at a high of 70°C.
Alongside the hot springs are artificial waterfalls, restaurants and bars. Also a fridge filled with free water and ice-cream for attendees.
Absolutely delicious cuisines, prepared fresh. With 100% fruit and vegetable juice also prepared for you. 🍎🍐🍓🍌🍋🍊🥕

The resort acts as an animal reserve with monkeys, fish, koi, reptiles and giant monitor lizards staying at the resort with you. 🦎 🐒 🐦 🐠

Rooms are the best I've ever seen. Even the smallest rooms are spacious. The mini-fridge is restocked daily with chips, treats and juices, all of which is free!
Each room has, at minimum, a private pool and hot tub with geothermal water from the spring. 🌊 🏞
Tasty cheesecake, drinks and a 'Welcome pomelo' are offered at the start of your stay. 🍰

Before checking in, I asked for flower petals on the bed; to add to the atmosphere for our anniversary.
The staff went to extra effort to make the room look fantastic! With aesthetics and free chocolate cake. All at no extra cost. This really made our stay the best.

Absolutely exceeded all expectations and I plan on staying again.

It was a real treat to get to spend the day here. Everything I ordered from the restaurant was simple amazing and I b spent over an hour in the steam cave and came out with a literal glow.

Got a day pass to the spa during our trip to Ipoh. It was an amazing experience. Very relaxing, clean, and natural feeling.

Excellent place to relax with magnificent view. Staff is detailed and friendly. Love the food too! Exclusive and peaceful place.
