Mile 36 Lodge

A quiet and serene place. Room was clean and tidy. Free breakfast when i booked my room but the dishes are the same every day for four days when i stayed there. Hope they will vary the menu. The rest are all good.

Great stay. We enjoyed ourselves here, comfortable and yet close to nature. Clean rooms and 2 cute dogs:) at the lodge area. We are able to have a little peek at Mt Kinabalu from our balcony and it's beautiful enough for us. It gets cold at night, so bring along your sweaters!

During our stay in the lodge on 5 and 6 Sept 2022, we stayed at rooms 22 and 23 which have a spectacular full view of Mt KK. Receptionist is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and cosy with all the necessary amenties, including a filtered hot and cool water dispenser. Inhouse Chef Ricky cooks a yummy ikan bilis fried rice, bee hoon for breakfast which also includes bread toast with kaya, butter, creamy and chunky peanut butter spread. Thank you for making our stay at the lodge enjoyable and comfortable.

Simplicity done well. Budget friendly clean rooms with awesome Mt Kinabalu view. What else could one ask for in Kundasang?

Absolutely would go back, great place to avoid the busy city life. The weather is lovely. Loved it. Only the cafe food (i only take breakfast there) there is not so much choice available, only fried rice and fried noodle, that it. If can have few more choices it would be so good. The hit water is not hot at all. I am in desperate for some warm bath from the cold weather in the morning, 4°c (it rain that day) but the water is like a room temperature in 20°c. Other than that you need to check this area, the service is top notch. They provide photo props 👏, boards games A+, books. If you need to decompress and just stay away from busy life. Mile 36 is the place.

Wow, great location. Very decent view of the mountains and you can see the full vista with mount Kinabalu right in front of you as u lay in bed( best room for view is Room 22, others have obstruction from trees), service is very kind and friendly.. breakfast is basic and walls are paper thin but this is no issue as most guests have hiked, or going to hike, so it’s mainly very quiet... we spent 3 nights and would stay again! Thank u to the breakfast chef who took care of my wife’s vege diet👍

Cozy rooms, good standard compared to what is usually found around Malaysia. Food in general was alright and breakfast included was really nice (for a small 3MYR you could add eggs and sausage). But the highlight was the staff, really helpful. We only stayed for one night, but they still allowed us to use the facilities after our day-hiking in the park while waiting for the bus which they helped us book. They also helped out in booking our stay at Kinabatangan River. Don't know what we would've done without them.

Comfortable, great mount kinabalu view, love it! There are fancy glasses and hats at the receiptionist for photography. Had fun posing for pictures. There are also indoor games (congkak, carrom, etc.) provided. I just hope the breakfast would be various. But overall, good stay 👍👍

Very near to mountains, this place has nice view from the property. Staffs were nice and helpful. Around 5 minutes drive from Kinabalu park and 7 minutes drive from Kundasang market.

Very nice place .room was cozy.. The view is nice.very peaceful place to stay..but for local visitors the signal for cell phone is a bit poor.. But still this is a nice place.. I highly recommended this place

Cool, quiet, peaceful, beautiful view, very near to the Kinabalu Park if you are coming to climb the mount Kinabalu, just 1.5km or 5 minutes drive. Worth the price.

I can feel the air breeze was fresh and cold no need air conditioner except during day time should atleast provided fan for the room, the water running out from the tap was fresh and cold .good quality room with good ventilation, near to the main road easy to access out to find the market or restaurant or to the way to the lodge location.suitable also for those who need to calm their mind since the view are near to the bushes as you can captured more memorable beatiful picture with good caption.

The place to runaway from the city. Nature surrounding the place makes it a good place. Dogs howling through the night, crickets chirping, my baby is crying. Perfect

The place is very nice as it got 3 big room and a gathering place, got BBQ stove where u can grill your meat/food while looking at the KK mountain.

Beautiful place where you are surrounded by forest and the beautiful mount kinabalu, it's cold environment wants you sleep and it's really a relaxing place

It's very cold here. A great place to escape the city. Mount Kinabalu view was astonashing.
