One of the easiest and best trails to explore at Kinabalu National Park. Suitable for all ages, and is a beginner trail. Start at the gate entrance to Timpohon Gate and exit at the Dewan Kinabalu Hall.

The trail takes around 30-40 minutes at normal speed, and about an hour if you stop to see flora & fauna. A lot of montane moss species, ferns, and flowers. And also the Kinabalu Pandan species. Birds are also often seen. Gets muddy after rain, so need to be a little careful. Didn't encounter leeches, but there are some. Overall, it was an easy trail.

Our guide is the naturalist, she explained everything about this forest. The guided tour is free, just wait at Liwagu restaurant around 10am.
