Selecto Súper Chedraui 5a Avenida

During my visit to Playa Del Carmen, I discovered Selecto Super Chedraui, and it's safe to say it's the most amazing grocery store I've ever encountered. Conveniently located with on-site parking, this store goes beyond the typical grocery shopping experience.

The deli section is nothing short of spectacular, offering an array of options. Even more impressive is the small bistro inside where you can enjoy a delicious prepared breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It's a great spot for a quick and tasty meal.

The bakery section is a paradise for those with a sweet tooth, boasting an incredible selection of baked goods and artisan breads. But what truly sets this store apart is its beer, wine, and liquor selection. They offer everything from budget-friendly options to high-end liquors and wines, all at very reasonable prices.

The aisles are abundantly stocked with a wide variety of products, ensuring you find everything you could possibly need. The fruit and vegetable section deserves a special mention for its high-quality, fresh, and appealing selections.

A unique feature that caught my attention was the wood-fired pizza area next to the bistro. It adds a delightful touch to the already exceptional offerings of the store.

If you're in Playa Del Carmen, I highly recommend stopping by Selecto Super Chedraui, even if you don't need to shop. It's more than just a grocery store; it's a delightful experience that you shouldn't miss. It's a treat just to visit and explore the vast selections and services they offer.

Excellent store. It’s the Whole Foods of playa del Carmen at decent prices. It was an easy walk from our hotel and it had everything we needed and more. A great alcohol selection we even tried something new

Great grocery store. A little more expensive than some of the others, but it has great stuff. Reminds me of a Trader Joe’s or something! Lots of American brands if you don’t mind paying a bit more. If you are an expat living here, it’s good for smaller shops or when you want bakery items or American brands. If you’re on vacation, I’d definitely do my full shop here! Also has souvenirs

Beautiful decor and a nice eating area with all kinds of food (pizza sushi, salad bar, cafe). Saw people having wine there🍷 good idea 👍👍👍

Fantastic place for coffee and pastries in the morning. The bakery section is Fantastic. Great grocery store with pretty decent prices. Great place to stock up on trinkets, grocery staples and alcohol.

Very nice place, destination for tourists x locals. Not only a clean, well stocked x organized supermarket, but fresh bakery, Cafe, delicious x lounge (serving alcohol) seating area. Parking in basement.

Very nice Mexican supermarket Stocked with North American style goods as well as local. Prices appear to be in line with other chedraui in the area. Beautiful decor and a nice eating area with different cuisine offered. Also this place has full volume air conditioning. Stop by to cool off and have a great meal or snack. Five stars for best air conditioning in Playa Del Carmen.

Great selection of groceries all at reasonable prices, all the staff are very friendly and the store is very clean also has great air conditioning and toilets if you are in need to go. Just walk past the escalator and down to the exit walk past the tills to the bottom and you are there.

Great Store! It has all a great selection of bakery items. Some amazing Fish and Meat Selection! Very clean and modern. Has many items you can’t get in Mega or Walmart! I’d recommend a visit!

Very clean location, easy to shop, the best bread. Good value for the price. Easy to checkout. Accepts credit card. Also good place to order a meal and eat instead of a restaurant. Also has fresh milk. Small store so may not have everything you're looking for.

Visiting, very clean had everything we need for our condo and more! We will be back every morning for fresh coffee and organic juice!

Unlike any grocery store near us in the states, yet in many ways, it is laid out out the same. I found the staff less helpful because of the language barriers, yet found help from other shoppers who basically had the same questions as we did!

Great place. Nice and clean, good prices on the cooked stuff(like the rotisserie chicken), but some imported products are pretty expensive for Mexico(like chocolate).

Offers it all ! Wonderful baked goods , fresh seafood and top notch beef . Pick a steak of fish sit at the counter and enjoy as it’s prepared perfect to enjoy there

We love getting breakfast and a coffee every morning. We get our fresh meat and bread here as well. Staff is very accommodating for the non Spanish speaking gringo :)

The first time where I paid less than expected in Playa. Walmart is so much more expensive for similar items in my experience, it almost costs the same as if I was buying groceries in Canada.

This chedraui is very nice, well-stocked, and had great selection of items. The vegetables were average but everything else was available and fairly priced.

This is a very nice and upscale Chedraui Selecto with a better selection than the one where I live. Whenever I'm in PDC, I stock up on things my local Chedraui doesn't carry - peppercinis, Thai coconut milk, bourbon, tequila, and more!
