For me, the two best places I have found for kiting in beautiful flat water are the Outer Banks in North Carolina, and Isla Blanca. These are places where you can quickly progress, and the surroundings can be breathtaking.

Demi and his team are fantastic instructors, and can teach all age levels from beginners to advanced. These are people who become friends, and sincerely care about making your kiting experience a good memory.

My best to all of them. I look forward to next year.

My wife and I met Demetrio by pure luck at a cable park while at a destination wedding in the area. We got to talking about kiteboarding but didn’t bring equipment. No problem, we met the right person! He hooked us up the next day with everything we needed at a great price, including a ride from his crew, Weena and Emmanuelle. The ride to the spot was an experience itself and fun. Once there, Isla Blanca was kiteboarding heaven. Shallow, flat, clear, clean water forever. Plenty of room to spread out. There were at least 25-30 kites on the water and we didn’t feel crowded at all.

PDC is the way to go for kiteboarding Cancun! Super nice people. Thanks again! We had a great time

Isla Blanca Kiteboarding & Wingfoil School Cancun were stellar! Great energy and super friendly staff. Didn't mind the millions of questions my at him and he even got her standing up on a wave during their 1-on-1 lesson. She had a blast and hasn't stopped talking about the surf session ever since. My daughter can be a little skittish about ocean swimming, but everyone at Isla Blanca Kiteboarding & Wingfoil School Cancun put her at ease right away. Many thanks!

Highly recommend this school. Demi was quick and thorough to organize my session. My instructor, Weena, picked me up at Puerto Juarez and gave me a lift to the location at Isla Blanca (~30 min ride). She was very patient and provided helpful and clear instructions. You can tell when someone is passionate about what they do, and this is the energy I got from Weena. I had a one on one with Max for 2 hours on a 75 degree day in late March and was blown away. They were perfect for learning on and really helped me catch about 10 waves in addition to making me for 2 hours.
The scenery and water was surreal...just the icing on the cake. Thanks them very much.

great school, wonderful teachers! we took more than 20 hours with my daughters, and the 4 instructors were kind, full of patience and dedication. We went to Isla Blanca spot, very shallow waters very easy to learn. Note: take or ask for water shoes, we returned with our feets with some scars....

I spent a week learning to ride with Demi and his crew. They are wicked instructors and even cooler people. The lessons where top notch and on another level.

when there was no wind we all headed to the Wakeboard park to work on board control and have a blast!!

Halloween night we went out for drinks and had some laughs at a local bar, This crew knows how to have fun.

Highly recommended and will be beach to Playa to ride with these guys and girls again!

Great location, equipment and teacher. I rented and my son had a supervised rental but Weeny went above and beyond and taught both of us some new skills. Tip: best at mid to high tide.

So far the best place for kitesurfing I ever been. Friendly environment, testy food in the restaurant, and confortable accommodation. Awesome wind conditions in shallow waters perfect for beginners and for practicing tricks. The School has very good kite gear, wave runner...etc.

I will be back definitely!!

On dates 2-3 May, I had the opportunity to venture into the world of kite surfing. It is necessary to mention that I did not have any prior knowledge, I had only ever seen a person practicing it on the beach. I had never practiced any water sports, occasionally I do cycling and skating.

While on vacation in Cancun I decided to try it, I searched nearby internet schools to find PDC KITEBOARDING, to my surprise I got an immediate response. They kindly gave me information about packages and costs, they were adapted to my times and needs. The next day I was living my first experience in this exciting sport.

Weena is an excellent instructor, she explains very well, she is very patient and allows you to advance at your pace which gives a lot of confidence.

PROS:
Perfect spot to learn and practice.
Water is waist deep for many miles.
Sandy bottom in most areas.
Staff assembled by Foka is incredibly capable in their communication skill and ability to train a student and mostly patient. Ask me how I know :)
Jet skis for training and water rescue.
Lots of gear and a willingness to help with assembly and launching of kites.
Quiet location -.definitely off the beaten tract.
Maria's home cooked meals are second to none - try the fish tacos!

Cons: The road to Ikurus kite camp can be a bit rough and potholed. But, it's only the last two miles that can be tough.

I'm very pleased with Ikarus communication (fast response to my web request, pleasant and positive attitude). I wish they were closer to Cancun hotel zone or offer reasonable transportation to Isla Blanca from hotels.

I cannot comment on anything else except communication because I haven't been to their school or kite spot because of weather :(

I had a great kite session at Isla Blanca with PDC Kiteboarding. Ivan and Rodriguez were great.

Great experience with Demi, super patient, super safe. It was my first time, I was super scared, but this school and its teachers made me feel safe, can’t wait for more classes !!!!

Such an amazing place! They are so professional, I had an amazing time and now kiteboarding is my new favorite hobby!
