Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort

This was our first all inclusive and they have set the standard high for our future trips. Staff could not have been more pleasant every day. The food was excellent and entertainment was fun. "Sexy" Felix made our experience so much fun. Thanks for a great anniversary trip

Amazing adult getaway. Our friends had their wedding on the beach, and it was truly breathtaking. The resort was beautiful and clean. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. There is a plethora of food options from French to Italian to Japanese and, of course, a buffet.
This place was super relaxing, and we would return to this location when we get a chance.

Secrets was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway with friends. We had the perfect balance between relaxing on the beach/by the pool and doing fun activities. All staff we met were so friendly, helpful and kind. Felix was awesome with the entertainment team, brought us on an awesome bike tour (see pics) and led all games with excitement. Cesar was an awesome server by the pool and was always smiling. The rooms and all amenities were comfortable and clean. The restaurants were delicious with amazing service. It was also nice to go to Dreams and try their restaurants. I can’t say enough good things about this resort and can’t wait to come back. :)

Best all inclusive we have been at. Their staff is 5-stars, food is delicious and you have great variety, the rooms are spacious, beach is clean, entertainment options are amazing. The best part is the adults only option, it really made a difference for us. A piece of advice, bring $1 bills for tips to your waiters, cabana people and housekeeping. Highly recommend this all inclusive!

Fabulous place. Beach was clean, some seaweed, but they clean it up everyday. Service people, Luis and Marcello, thanks for everything. Food was okay, not fine dining, but there are many choices. Very clean and safe. Room service was fast, fridge stocked and they will bring anything you want. Tipping is not mandatory, but I believe they workers earn it. The rooms' AC is good, but most restaurants are outdoors and warm. Very relaxing holiday.

I am going to start with their staff😍 they were very nice and professional people, helpful and fast. Every single person we met was sweet to us.

The resort has a nice layout and view👌🏻and it’s very clean!

The restaurants overall are good but my favorite one is Oceana as a view and as a presentation then seaside grill and market Cafe.

We also tried the spa 2 times one for the massage and it was good and the second time was for the hydrotherapy was amazing.

Had an absolutely a wonderful time. Went for our 25th wedding anniversary. Very awesome staff. Ernesto, Angel and Jesus were just awesome to interact with. Made bracelets, played bingo and watch them do their shows and activities. Thank you guys very much for making our trip everything we hoped.

We had a wonderful time over our four days at this resort! I would come back in a heartbeat!
1) Cleanliness -5/5: I have a post covid habit of wiping down surfaces when I arrive in a room and my wipes were pristine when done! Staff were regularly checking the pool chemicals which I appreciated and shared restrooms were always clean.
2) Food - 4/5: food was good but it’s resort food - nothing special. I loved the variety of restaurants and the poolside grill and Asian restaurant were our favorite! Drinks were delicious and the breakfast buffet was always really tasty!
3) Service - 5/5: All the staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly and helpful! Check-in/out was a breeze and I enjoyed staff encouraging me to practice my Spanish during our interactions.
4) Environment- 5/5: My favorite part of this resort was its sprawling nature preserve. It was wonderful to have walking trails and bird watching towers- a very unique feature at an all-Inclusive. The beach was absolutely gorgeous with a view of Isla Mujeres and much quieter than those in the hotel zone. We felt very safe and could easily relax here. Lots of fun activities during the day/night, but this is definitely not a “clubbing” resort. If you’re looking for lots of nightlife this may not be for you.

Our only “complaint” is not even about the resort - it is about people reserving beach chairs and not showing up for HOURS. There were times the pool area was half empty but every chair was “reserved”. Please be considerate and don’t hold chairs when you are not actually using them. I completely understand why it’s a challenge for the resort to police this and don’t hold it against them - just a reminder to fellow vacationers.

So far one of our favorite hotels. Clean and spacious rooms, we got a Junior Suite ocean view, perfect for the two of us. Others complained about food in their reviews, not sure why, so far the food has been awesome. Staff, super friendly and always there to help. The only odd so far is that we are celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary, we were asked to bring our marriage certificate, which we did, for anniversary amenities and gifts, but we haven't gotten any so far. We still have 2 more days left, so I'm hoping they remember before we leave. Definitely recommend this adults ONLY hotel, it's been nice being able to enjoy ourselves as a couple after so many years raising kids.

Great resort. The staff are wonderful and the food choices are good and hot! Rooms are a tad dated, but I understand the resort will be undergoing some renovations. Overall, it was a great holiday experience.

This resort was awesome! The food was very good in all of the restaurants and the variety made it so we could try many things. The service staff was very friendly and very helpful.

The beach area was clean and nice to walk on except for the mosquitoes and other biting bugs. Make sure you bring bug spray.

The shows were good. The entertainment team was ok but they could certainly do more to get people involved.

The only complaint would be the limited availability of tepanyaki reservations and not being able to make reservations for dinner at more restaurants.

I was very pleasantly surprised by my whole experience at this resort. Our room was clean, modern, and cozy. All of the restaurants were nice and the food was consistently delicious. As an introvert, I was worried about the resort being too much of a party atmosphere and not enough of a relaxation/restoration type of vacation, however the resort had the perfect balance of fun/party atmosphere as well as quieter, more meditative spots, like on the beach. There was also a variety of live music/instrumentals each day which we enjoyed soo much. The service was top-notch everywhere we went - you could tell the workers seemed happy, which hopefully means the resort is caring for and treating them well. Finally, the little coffee shop was a hit with us! Barista Adriana was phenomenal. She remembered my coffee order and was the sweetest, most personable person. We would fully recommend this resort and we will be back!

We had an amazing time at this resort! I have been to many secrets resorts and this one did not disappoint. The food was great with so many options. We couldn’t even get to all the ones we were hoping to during our week stay. The proximity to Dreams was great and having access to all of those amenities as well is always an added bonus.
The absolute best part of our trip, was our girl Susy at the Reef Bar. She took care of us each day, making sure we had what we needed for drinks or snacks. She was always smiling and happy to answer questions we had about the resort or different drinks we were interested in.
The rooms were large and spacious. We had no issues with housekeeping or having our mini fridge stocked. I do, however, like to leave a large tip to both of those staff on my first day with a note of who we are and how happy we are to be on vacation. Always seems to go over well.
Having been to other Secrets and Dreams, I was kind of disappointed that the in-room iPads/phone app for room service, etc. here weren’t quite what I’m used too. But just had to make the call down instead, nothing we couldn’t handle.
Overall, we had the absolute best time here. It was everything we hoped for, for a pre-Christmas family holiday.

Wonderful experience. From the moment we stepped off the airplane this hotel made sure that we didn't lift a finger and that we enjoyed ourselves. The workers were accommodating and went above and beyond our expectations. We were there 3 days for a wedding. Staff was very adaptable, as it rained all 3 days and they took the ceremony inside. The food was amazing. As this was an all-inclusive resort food, drinks (at any bar), and shows were completely free. It was nice to have swim up bars in every pool. I will be coming back to visit very soon.

This stay at Secrets Playa Mujeres was so wonderful. From check in to check out, everything was such a breath of fresh air. The staff is so courteous and made sure we were well taken care of. Our room was clean, comfortable, and such a nice place to rest after each day at the resort. The food was pretty good and better than some of the other resorts we have stayed at. The pools and beach were beautiful, and despite the off and on rain during our stay, we were able to enjoy them and the staff did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely visit again.

Just spent 7 days here. Great place to relax and have fun. Great food, service and drinks. Rooms were very nice.

The staff were so accommodating. They ensured our vacation was amazing and did everything top notch. We had a wonderful week at secrets playa mujeres! The room was comfortable, the drinks were great and the food was good. We loved the beach- it’s not rocky at all and they clean up the sea grass every morning. Every staff member was friendly and pleasant from concierge to service staff and housekeeping to golf cart drivers. Special shout out to Ana at the beach and Carlos at himatsu (best service staff we had at the resort) and Mariela on the entertainment team.
We did hydrotherapy and a massage at the spa and were happy with the value - would recommend.
This resort hosts a lot of business trips/travelers which I would guess accounted for more than 50% of people there. We didn’t mind this as it cut down on a rowdy/party vibe.
The pool chairs get claimed early! Definitely plan to be up before 7 to claim your spot or they might all be gone. This was less of an issue on the beach and partly why we preferred to be down there.
The wifi worked really well and we had no issues with the app. We used the chat feature and the request feature to restock our mini bar which was done quickly.
We would have preferred lounge chairs on our swim up room patio as well as extra pool towels for the room. We liked our location - it was more secluded so we did use it but if we had a swim up room facing the pool we probably wouldn’t have.
We read that the resort is due for renovations so I gave them some grace but it is definitely apparent throughout the resort - some bathrooms had loose or broken fixtures, floor tiles were cracked in hallways, paint was chipping/stained, ice machine was broken, some towels were stained and the chairs in restaurants were stained.

My twin sister and I celebrated our 40th birthday with a group of 11 guest. The food was delicious, guest rooms are very spacious, and service was great. Resort is large and they drivers operating large 7 passenger golf carts that drive around the resort and between sister property next door (Dreams). Samuel was the best driver! The resort does not serve alcohol ( until 10am daily ( not even mimosas), which I thought was a little odd for an all adult inclusive resort. The pools were a little boring and lacked entertainment and music. Dreams next door has better pools in my opinion. It was nice having full access and use of amenities at Dreams. Secret's does have a night time club (Desire) that was fun for night time partying. Overall resort is nice and a great stay. I would definitely recommend and return.

Fantastic resort that handles food allergies very well. Highly recommend for anyone but especially those with food allergies or celiac disease. The gluten free options were varied, interesting, and most importantly safe. Highly recommend the hibachi show at Himitsu. Amazing experience, will definitely be back.
There is a kid friendly sister resort directly next door.
