We booked 6 days’ diving with Koox (Cenote, musa, and Cozumel). The cenote diving is awesome! Antoine was our guide, and he is very nice and a very experienced diver. He took us to cenote Dos ojos, Angelita, Carwash, Eden, Chikin Ha, the Pit, and Dream Gate. Cenote diving is so unique and different from my previous experience in the ocean. I love it! I have recommended to my other diving friends! I might come back in future and hopefully diving with Antoine again!

I had 3 great dives with Koox. They were very communicative and professional, and I loved talking to all my guides. I loved diving with Patrick, who was a great conversationalist and very experienced diver. I also loved diving with Julio and Andres, we had so much fun in the cenotes; i will never forget our dive in The Pit! I will certainly dive with them again if I am back in Mexico!

This is one of the highlights of my time in Tulum. Having a guide, in my case Victor, (who was amazing!) to show exactly where to go and explain what you're seeing, makes being on a tour worth it. He kept an eye on me and helped with any equipment adjustments. I highly recommend Koox! Thanks Victor!

Two years ago I dove with Koox while in Tulum. The personalized attention my husband and I received was excellent. Yesterday I contacted them again from Cozumel. With Cozumel‘s port closed for the last two days, my group of three wanted to dive. Silvia from Koox was very accommodating in meeting our request for diving particular cenotes. Our dive master, Victor, was exceptional. He explained everything very clearly and was super friendly and helpful . We all really enjoyed the day with him. I highly recommend Koox if you are diving from Playa or Tulum!

One morning we decided to do a cenote diving. So we went to Koox Diving centre without any reservation that day. Luckily they managed to book us for 2 cenote dives for the same day. We were assigned Antoine Guillois as our cenote diving guide.
We had a wonderful time in Cavern diving. Antoine is very caring to us and his concern to safety is priority but still having fun… so nice. We are very fortunate have Antoine as our cenote dive guide. If we have another chance in the future we will definitely reserve Antoine Guillois again at Koox Dive centre. Such a wonderful fella so we had an Incredible experience!!

Definitely the highlight of my vacation down in Mexico. My wife went snorkeling and I went cenote diving for the first time (at Dos Ojos) and had the adventure of a lifetime. Big thanks to Koox diving, in particular our guide, Antoine, who eased my anxieties in diving for the first time in years through his patience, guidance, and genuine love and enthusiasm for his job. Highly recommend!

Wife and I are recreational divers. Through our years of travel we have dove with numerous companies. We have had the great opportunity to complete several dives through Koox in Playa during two different visits. Their guides are always very informative about the dive that we would be taking and always stressed the importance of safety.
We must give a shout out to Antoine, who we dove with last. By far the best ever, and we hope to dive again with him soon.
So if you find yourself looking for a dive shop and there is a Koox, we greatly recommend them. You won't be disappointed.

Had a great time with Koox. Chucho and Antoine were excellent and friendly guides that took us to the heart of some of the best wildlife in Mexico. If you're looking for diving adventure with wildlife in a respectful manner and/or just enjoying the cenotes around Riviera Maya, this is a place I strongly recommend!

My wife and I did the cenote snorkeling tour starting from Playa del Carmen. Antoine was a great guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. We were not rushed and had all the time we needed to enjoy each cenote. We'd recommend.

We had a great experience diving with Koox for 3 days, and we could not be happier! As an instructor and dive center owner I am always happy to encounter a center that combines a genuine love of diving with professionalism and a personal approach. Pablo, who was our office contact, was very friendly and made a very customized proposition to optimize our diving days and cater to our level of experience. We did 1 dag of reef diving in Cozumel with Patrick, a very friendly guide who took us for two very nice drift dives on a beautiful colorful reef. If you go boat diving remember to not bring anything that you want to keep dry because they are pretty small (fast) boats so everything will get wet! Then we did 2 days of cenote diving, one with Patrick and one with Carlos (second day was just us with Carlos). We did 3 dives a day and had an absolutely great time: professional, safe, well equipped, and the cenotes are beautiful! There's nothing quite like the landscape of cenote Dreamgate and we even saw a crocodile at Casa Cenote. But on top of everything we got to know our guides and their passion for diving in the car on the road and during lunch (a welcome and sympathetic torta on the side of the road, living the good life) which was included. Thank you Koox, Patrick, Carlos, Nadia and Pablo (we owe you a pack of Belgian chocolate which you can collect in Leuven, Belgium if you ever visit 😉)! See you next time.

We had a great dive with Koox. Olympia took us out and couldn’t rate her higher. She had so much knowledge on diving, sea life and the cenotes we were diving through. She’s my favourite dive instructor to date, the whole experience was amazing - thank you!

Lupe was my snorkeling instructor on NYE and she made my experience snorkeling in casa cenote one that I will never forget. I only went snorkeling once before this and told her I needed a refresher. Not only did she teach me how to properly snorkel but she also taught me how to free dive. She was extremely patient and always made sure I was comfortable. She is an excellent instructor and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the area!

I did 4 Cenotes dives with Koox Diving in two days. First day I visited Casa and Dos Ojos cenotes with Ever, and second day I visited El Pit and Nicte Ha cenotes with Julio. Amazing experience! I have no words to describe my emotions. You MUST do it! Both instructors was really friendly. And it was like VIP tour for me because I was the only one person in our group :) BTW this company can rent GoPro camera for diving absolutely for free! Highly recommend these guys.

I booked last minute for a day of cenote diving with Ko'ox. I has an amazing experience! The cenotes were a highlight of my time in Mexico and I couldn't have picked a better dive shop to go with. Everyone was extremely professional and friendly. In particular thanks to Julio for being an awesome guide

Greatest dive shop in Playa del Carmen, with great prices and service. Make sure to ask for Andres and Patrick, they will make you dive worth while.

Koox Playa D C, Great shop! I did 8 dives with Charlie and 2 with Julio. Absolutely professional service, great equipment and very good deal on 3 or more dive days. I paid less than in other shops and price included GoPro 8, light, mount, housing...Everything. Each dive day was one on one, it felt like a trip with a friend. Nothing to improve at this shop. Their English level was fantastic too. And believe me...You want to make sure you understood everything 100% before going dive to caves or caverns ;) Thanks guys!!!

I'm a diving enthusiast. I have been all over Mexico, but Playa del Carmen and Tulum are my favourite places by far. I found Koox on my second visit to Playa. It was love at first sight. Since then I have been on 3 scuba dives with them and everything is always perfect. Highly recommend them!

Antoine was an excellent dive guide. He is a very professional, polite and happy guy and was very knowledgeable. He has better air discipline and competence than almost any other dive guide/dive master/instructor I have ever met.

I was Open Water certified in 1988 through YMCA (which was the largest nationally recognized program at the time. PADI was still struggling then) and since then I have done more dives and types of dives - all over the world, than most oeople dream about - including deco, mixed gas, lots of wrecks, strong current, high altitude, cave, contract dives for federal government maintenance awards, dives with large pelagics (sometimes with lots of them), lots and lots of coldwater dives with poor vis, kelp forests and sometimes heavy surf, surge and currents. I have however, never bothered with any additional certifications that the now heavily commercialized dive industry has come up with, which seem to be more about check boxes and monetary gain, than insuring competency and safety (eg underwater photographer, wreck diver, etc.). What's next? Warm Water Diver? Cold Water Diver? Wetsuit Diver? Ridiculous.

Competence comes from growing your dive experience gradually. with more and more challenging and diversified types of dives, first with folks who already have that level of hands on experience and then through additional dives at that level. "Advanced" OW certification used to be part of what was taught for OW certs - and still should be. All these additional levels are really just about capturing tourist money as opposed to training competency in actual divers.

I relate all of this soapbox info, mainly to illustrate that the first couple of local dive shops I contacted told me I could only dive to 55 feet with my cert. I did explain to them, but I only got a standard corporate lowest common denominator response that it's about insurance & safety. Which in Mexico is even sillier.

Antoine listened to me and with the knowledge that if you start a dive with someone who demonstrates they are not sufficiently competent for the dive,
you can easily abort the dive in the first few minutes - he scheduled a dive of El Pit for me and 2 subsequent dives for me and my 16 year-old son at Dos Ojos.

About 1/3 of the way through the El Pit dive, we did an air pressure check. Since I am getting older, I now kind of need reading glasses. I misread my gauge and communicated that I was at 1700 psi - when I was actually at 2200. So we actually then ascended to a shallower depth than we would have at that point in the dive. Time to get a better gauge (bigger script), or a mask with reading/nagnifying lenses in the bottoms I guess.

This guy is good. Relaxed. Very competent.

Still great and very enjoyable dives.

Last time I dove Dos Ojos (about 25 years ago) El Pit had not been discovere yet. So this was really a treat. Very different than all of the other cenotes and caves here. It is the Yucatan blue hole of cenotes.
