Tukan Hotel Playa del Carmen

The hotel is very nice. For a reasonable price we got a big room with a balcony. We had warm water in the shower and decent water pressure compared to other places in Mexico and air conditioning. All the staff were nice, especially Rene who helped us to our room and also helped answer all our questions about other things we wanted to do in the area. He was amazing! Over all great hotel and very good location, close to beach and the strip where it seems everything is happening at night (and we stayed on a Wednesday).

Stayed twice at this hotel in early 2024. Great location and quieter than other areas. Steps away from 5th Ave. Water was mentioned. DO not brush your teeth with tap water Bottled water only and this applied to the 5 star resorts. For the $$ I was comfortable here. A/C in the rooms was comfortable. I traveled with Sunwing.

Great location for family vacation, as it saves you daily travel to most places for activities (XelHa, Xcaret, Tulum, Xichen) compared to staying at Cancun. Perfectly located near 5th Ave PDC.

Fresh towels and
shampoo every day. No hair drier, salty water in the shower - special conditioner needed. No noisy in the small delux building.
The conditioner in the room is good.
The matrasses are hard and comfortable.
Close to the beach and all the shops, restaurants.

Wasn't really sure about this place when I booked it. However was pleasantly surprised. Our room was very nice and the location couldn't be beat. Close to everything, we did end up buying the breakfast plan, however save your money The food was sub par and really not worth it plus the stuff in the restaurant was rather on rhe rude side Given all of the great restaurants near by you can eat very well cheaply. But for sure this hotel is worth a stay when in Mexico

The stay at the hotel was great. 100% recommendable, super clean and specially the staff was increibly helpful and supportive in every aspect - Eleazar made us feel just like home!

Very nice hotel! Straight on Quinta avenida! Nice kitchen, nice room, nice service. But small pool. Nice cats! Unfortunately we did not attend hotel beach as we went to different place to swim. But I believe hotel beach must be good. Its a pleasure to see every day new origami from towel 😊. Thanks to the staff for our best vacation in Mexico!

We really enjoyed our time here. It was an easy commute to the beach especially if you went early. Normally we like to stay on the beach but it is not as easy to do in that part. So, this is wonderful compromise.

Is a small beautiful hotel, the rooms are small but clean and moderm. The hotel has everything you need and is located in a very busy street, so if you are looking for parties and want to meet new people and have fun this is the place. The hotel is not for relax and quiet time, it gets really busy and noisy becuase of all the parties around. When it comes to clean services they are great, My housekeeper Maria did a great job cleaning my room everyday. The food service is slow sometimes, but Rosa is a sweet lady always checking if you are OK. The food on the other hand is perfect, it has the best menu and is professionally made, so I totally encourage you to buy the all inclusive, because the food is great and it can add up quickly if is not included in your plan. The hotel in general is a great place to stay, if you are OK with a more rural looking hotel in the middle of a busy shopping and moderm town. I totally recommend this hotel.

Right on 5th Ave. Playa Del Carmen 😎 2 blocks from the ocean close to everything. The all inclusive offer at front desk is worth it.

My husband and I bought a groupon for the hotel on a whim and it was the best whim we ever chased! As a part of our deal, we were considered "Premium Guests" which included a beautiful Room, king sized bed, all meals, the Kool Beach Club, and flights. Our trip was made so incredibly easy by the staff and travel company-booking was a little scary until I called on the phone. The food was fantastic and we felt like we had plenty of choices for a week. We utilized all favilities and the staff and services were fantastic. One night we had a small issue with our lock, but the staff handled it well while we sat for a margarita in the bar. Overall, we felt safe, totally relaxed, full and cared for. We did an excursion to Chichen Itza but had mixed feelings about the constant barrage of selling put on by vendors along the route and at the cenote. We chose this trip because we wanted a place to fully relax and not have to think about anything, and our expectations were fully exceeded. It's hard to believe any of it was real! Our room was clean and well kept but lack of ventilation made it a little musty smelling. I cannot say enough good things about our stay and time in Mexico. The trip was affordable and easy and beautiful. We are counting down the days until we can return!

The Hotel is in a great location - righton the 5th Avenue! About 10-15 min walk to the beach. Easy to walk to public transportation stops to get to Cancun/anywhere on the ciast. There is wifi at the reception and sometimes in the rooms. The rooms are clean, the shower has good pressure and hot water, the beds very comfy. Recommend this to traveller's on a budget that prefer to explore new places rather than stay at an all-inclusive resort!

Hola, This property was Excellent! Staff Were Outstanding: Always Attentive/Responsive to our requests/inquiries. Housekeeping Staff; Fantastic: Our room (303) always looked amazing when we returned from our day Adventures (We were advised/directed by Hotel Staff to: Private Beaches, Ceynotes, Pyramids, Places of Interest & Events). Let's be clear you will be staying right on 5th Avenue...It's Crazy...But, You will not hear any of the 'hullabaloo' at this 'tucked' in Property. This is a highly underrated Property. The Toucan Group of Companies know what they are doing! And take very good care of their guests!

Great ambiance. Like in the jungle. Good rooms. The Hotel has a very good location. Very quiet but also right in the middle of the main street.
