Hotel Riu Lupita

Not bad for the $$. Shuttle to the beach club, as this hotel is land locked on the far side of the golf course. Shuttle will also drop you and pick you up close to 5th Ave until 6:30 pm. Food was surprisingly good. The outdoor dining by the pool was very nice. Room I had was great A/C was acceptable and I slept with the patio door open a few nights. This is an entry level Riu property. Less food options than the higher end Riu resorts but I Successfully gained 5 pounds here in a week.

Riu Lupita has an excellent staff that is very friendly and supportive. They are the heart of the hotel. The recreation team puts a lot of effort into creating an amazing and fun environment for guests. The bars and restaurants offer great service. Although the hotel is not close to the beach, the bus transport is always on schedule. It is recommended for families who love nature and being surrounded by it.

Disliked · Riu Hotel rooms and common areas need renovations. The hotel is rated 5 stars, but its distance from the beach and outdated sports courts and rooms require construction upgrades, otherwise, the hotel rate is not accurate

We normally stay in the higher spec/more premium Rius in the area but I can’t fault the Lupita. Loved everything from the food, the quiet pool, amazing service, animation, beach shuttle service, theme restaurants, nightclub and neon party. Silent disco was a personal favourite. Security keeping everyone safe. Unfortunately quite a few guests not able to keep the noise down at night but that’s not the hotel’s fault. And the foam party could’ve done with a bit (actually quite a lot!) more foam but all in all 99/100!

We had a nice stay here with our two kids, age 9 and 11. This isn't a luxurious resort, but it's very comfortable. The grounds are lush and it isn't as hectic as the town or the larger resorts. The staff were universally friendly and helpful. The food is consistent and of pretty good quality. Lots of fresh fruit and lots of options. None of the food ever felt old or just sitting around - all fresh.

The shuttle to town and the beach was convenient and reliable. Being away from the beach was actually kind of nice. Relaxing, a little hidden, and comfortable. Would stay again, if with a family.

Had a really great time there. Staff are amazing and everything you need is there including nice touches like a drying rack on the patio, umbrella, coffee maker. It's not written anywhere but the beach shuttle does stop by the main entrance to Playacar, very close walk over to fifth Avenue, super handy! And the whole place is very clean. I would go back and would be confident recommending this resort to friends and family.

We have been coming to Riu Lupita for years. The staff and food are both exemplary. No, it's not right on the beach, but the shuttle takes you there every half hour. We love it here and will continue to come here.

Place was lovely. Claims 5 stars but doesn't quite hit it. Having said that the staff were attentive, helpful, friendly etc, service was good, rooms were nice and made up every day, optics in the room was a surprise lol. Views for us were non existent due to the tree line. A short shuttle runs every 30 min to the beach club and stops off at the top of the highstreet as well. As said. In general a lovely place. When you visit the beach club remember to ask about the free water activities

Stayed back in December, had such a good time, this holiday (& Mexico in general) will have a special place in our hearts forever. Have done a lot of travelling and this hotel stands out.

Staff are just the best, nothing is too much. A special thanks to Uriel who looked after us and made a big effort for my mums 60th birthday, and treated us like royalty! The kids still talk about him and the beautiful table decorations.

Beautiful beach, bus there can get quite full at times- some pushing and rushing to get on. The sun beds at beach were sometimes broken, often not enough, but usually after a bit of searching and asking for peoples unused beds, we made it work.

Food was fantastic! All 5 of us enjoyed every meal, think we all came home a few pounds heavier! Drinks also brilliant, anything you can think of they have it.
However we could not get into the beach/ steak restaurant in the evening for love nor money- even booking at 7am it was ‘fully booked’.

Entertainment was good too.

It was a wonderful experience at this place. The rooms are clean, the food is delicious and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this place, especially on Christmas Eve.

The experience is incredible, the service very attentive and the location incredible, something favorable of the place is the tranquility and peace that the place gives as well as the decoration.

Riu Lupita is a medium size hotel a bit far from the beach. However the shuttle bus and surroundings compensate it all.
Nice beach club located on a beautiful beach.
Lovely little jungle around where you can stay surrounded with a wildlife. Coatis running around absolutely cute.
Very clean rooms , great, welcoming and attentive staff.
For a hotel food in my opinion it’s a very good quality food especially tacos.
All the staff working hard with a smile what makes staying there really nice.

Nice hotel, good services and facilities. Special thanks for Olivia from the reception, she is truly amazing with all the help and advices she gave for us! We had very nice vacation in this resort. Room was very clean and quiet. Tequila party on Friday in Riu Tequila was amazing, it was our last night and we really enjoyed.

We stayed at Riu Lupita from February 25-March 4 and our stay was pleasant. The staff at reception, housekeeping, restaurants and bar were so friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is a smaller Riu but we didn’t mind as we liked the quiet and serenity of the place. The room was excellent and the bar/fridge was refilled every two days. The food in this hotel was excellent. My husband and I have very sensitive stomach and there was never a time we ever had a bad stomach due to the food. Excellent food and service. Entertainment was very good. Very close to 5th avenue. Overall our stay was relaxing, pleasant and worth it. Will come back again. Thank you to Olivia for being so informative and to the gentlemen at the bar who were always so friendly and attentive. I am sorry I do not know their names. Lastly, to the lady from housekeeping who took care of our room #3221, thank you so much. You’ve been very kind to us.

Wow we really enjoyed our stay. We were taken care of, food was great, drinks were great! Really enjoyed our last night stay show (Mexican folklore night) Beautiful singing and performance was great. They had continuous activities going on to win prizes at the beach and hotel to keep you entertained! To get too the beach you take the bus and a short walk after also, which me and my wife enjoyed. At the beach you had food and drinks, where they also take care of you. They have a steakhouse at the beachclub for supper 7 pm which YOU NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION FOR!! Thanks again Edgar, Lilly, Lydia, Josh, Blanca, Santos, Guadelpe and everybody else! (don’t remember all the names):Reason for the 3 stars on the rooms the beds are a bit hard! Everything else was good in the rooms!
