What an absolute dream of a Home Depot. There are so many unique things that we cannot buy in the states at a Home Depot.

Location is perfect! Right off "La Federal" main road. Almost corner w another main Playa Del Carmen Avenue: Luis Donaldo Colosio, makes access easy & convenient. Staff is ever ready 2Help help, guide and offer the best product for your needs. Stock on items is sometimes low...(as often happens in other main stores in PDC but if you go to the Client's services desk you will get an estimate of when is expected a new shipment. Overall very satisfied 😊😉Keep it up!!🦾 Kudos 👍🏼👏🏽👏🏽

Wait Playa del Carmen has my favorite store from my life in Atlanta?! Oh I’m never going back!! And the prices seem a bit cheaper then the states!

The Home Depot in Playa del Carmen is basically identical to a Home Depot in United States I found very few differences pricing I would say is very similar or some things a little more some things are maybe a little less probably leaning on them little bit more side but very similar design location set up everything

Has a lot of stuff and some staff are really nice and friendly. And help with good advice.

Fairly standard DIY/building materials store with the usual stock of both quality (makita etc) power tools and the cheap knock offs.
Its as overpriced as the other chain stores but you get peace of mind here as I'm told they're not sharks when dealing with faulty items and will refund/replace without much fuss.
Lots of parking, no café. Usually the queues are a little bit longer than hoped for but it's a good temperature inside so it's not uncomfortable.
The list of items they sell is too long to list here but they have a white goods as well as a gardening section.
I'm regularly here, it's friendly and easy to find what you want if it's not too specialist.

Update 26/4/23. I've been a lot since my review four years ago and they're still good here. However, two days ago I caught a couple in a van doing something to my car while parked in the home depot parking lot. They'd disconnected the alarm and drove off when they saw me returning to my car. I don't know how often this happens but worth bearing in mind when parking here. I was in the far car park by the viveros.

But a good one... a great place to find all your DIY needs and much more. A must visit if you live here in playa del Carmen. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
I enjoyed a good ferret around looking for items I probably didn't need.

I have a home I Tulum and needed several things the local stores did not have. Home Depot in Playa has it all and customer service was outstanding. Rosy even enrolled me in the "Pro" program and saved me 2000 pesos.

This store is fully stocked and is very similar to the Home Depots in the States. The outdoors section has many choices for plants, furniture, and gardening supplies. The home improvement part of the store has all your building needs. Materials, tools, and home decor. I was impressed with how helpful the staff is and the cleanliness of the store. I was also amazed that the store was almost identical as the ones in the U.S. It is one of our must stops when we are in Playa del Carmen.

For Playa del Carmen this HOME DEPOT is excellent. It has a less choices than a Canadian HD but it is still operated in the same professional way. You will surely find what you are looking for and at a reasonable price. Helpful staff and this store itself is clean and well disinfected with social distancing measures in place.

Good experience, very clean, organized and well stocked.

We were able to find baby gates and all the baby safety necessities. (Outlet covers, cabinet door locks). Great one stop shop for all home repair needs. The staff is helpful and there are plenty of people around to answer questions and assist. Great garden center with loads of plants and different patio furniture.

Big selection of merchandise here in all categories! This is a great place to get everything you need for construction or do it yourself projects. We also love all their plant selections too! Lots of seasonal color flowers as well as seeds and fertilizer!

The longer this place is open the more stuff they get! They have everything of course that pertains to construction or remodeling but my favorite area is the garden center. For decades in this area there were no annual flower bed type plants. Yes plenty of native tropicals which are mostly greenery but few flowering plants. But now throughout the year, Home Depot receives a wide variety of beautiful flowering plants like begonias. Petunias, Vince, etc. That can be planted in your beds and provide just the right "pop" of color to enhance all the lovely tropical plants in your garden!

It was pouring rain when I arrived at this store. A worker was meandering in the parking lot with a huge umbrella and he came over to my car and walked me into the store under his umbrella. Fantastic! The store carries just about everything you'd expect in the US but the wood product selection is not as extensive or varied. The workers that I talked to were friendly to me with my broken Spanish...
Update 7.1.19... They have a sale on plants right now. For 10 or 20 pesos you can buy houseplants that appear poor but just need a little TLC. We bought some and they are doing fine.
As others have noted, the employees are hard to find and not that willing to help. But my last visit I needed a staple gun and una muchacha led me right to the display and made sure I saw all the different options and picked out the correct staples for me. There are indeed some good employees. I hope their management reads these reviews...

I have a love/hate relationship with this store... Grrrrrrr. Today was hate. Bought fittings for gas pipe and bought wood and hardware. Most of the wood and gas fittings were poorly marked so the cashier had no idea what to do. While 6 angry people waited in line behind me, another worker had to go back into the store and write down the numbers of several items and make their way back to my register. It took waaaay too much time to check out. Nothing like Home Depot or Lowes or Menards in the U.S. My advice? Take a picture of every sticker on the shelves where you find your purchases and then if the cashier can't find your item in the system, at least you can show them the photo of the item number and price.

Staff extremely helpful and kind. Found most of what we needed. What we couldn't find were items that HD probably had, but since I struggle with Spanish, got lost in translation.

It is a pleasure to go somewhere where you do not have to ask if a product is in stock. Their plant are much better than the ones sold in Cozumel
