The Yucatan Playa del Carmen All-Inclusive Resort, Tapestry by Hilton

Loved my week-long stay! Very chill and relaxing vibes at this hotel. Would absolutely stay again.
The food was great and there was something for every mood. Tuna tostadas, fish tacos, and piranha were favorites.
About a 4 block walk to the beach. I spent most of my stay at the rooftop pool. There is limited seating, which thankfully only was a problem a few times.
The best part of this hotel is the staff and the service is exceptional, especially Luis, Epi, and Sara.
The beds are extremely comfortable! I'm truly perplexed by the interior design of these rooms. While beautiful, functionality is limited. There are NO drawers - not a single one, unless you count the one on the bathroom floor for the hair dryer, resulting in a cluttered and disorganized room. The bathroom sink is huge, which comes at the expense of counter space. The balcony furniture is unusable. The lighting is very dim, which makes for a relaxing ambiance but the inability to make it brighter is frustrating for getting ready.
The outside of our room was pretty noisy, but a white noise machine took care of that.
Would absolutely stay again! Great value.

We love this hotel! The hotel is relatively small if you compare it to some bigger resorts and there are many food choices. But it is cozy and luxurious. The food and drink quality is amazing it's definitely worth a five star there.

Very friendly staff. No buffet options at this all inclusive so if you’re the type that gets nervous about asking for what you need then this place is not for you. Room service food naturally gets a little soggy on its way to your room but everything we order from the restaurants was delicious and served perfectly. Smaller portions so order extra. Bar is house brands so yes there’s an upcharge for premium spirits but that’s the case at most places. It’s not a mega resort so you might get tired of the menu and small rooftop pool after 2 days. Don’t expect anything for being a diamond member. Came in with very low expectations after reading reviews but for the price this was comfortable, overall an awesome 2-day stay.

I just spent a week here for the first time with my boyfriend. The hotel is super clean, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious. There is no buffet at this hotel, however, there are a variety of food items to choose from on their menus. The beach is a 5 minute walk from the hotel (however there is a fee to lay on the beds/chairs 1400 pesos - 1000 credit for food and drinks) and because you are right in the middle of 5th avenue, you are surrounded by restaurants, coco bongo, shopping malls and vendors. Overall had a great time here and would come again.

The hotel is perfectly located downtown, close to the beach and amazing restaurants and stores. The hotel is boutique so offers amazing service from all staff, all dining is a la carte and room service is included (no tacky buffets!). Everything feels clean and modern. The roof top pool is the perfect spot to spend a hot day and offers a bar which makes amazing cocktails and martinis. We stayed for a week over New Years and would definitely come back again.

Great value stay. No buffets, thank God. Buffet food is just mass produced stale junk. Come if you like good food. Small portions but you can order as much as you want. Everything is made fresh. Drinks were great.

Small staff, small hotel, very personal experience. The staff are great with allergies. If you want a place on the strip that plays good music, has good food, and a nice rooftop pool it's a good choice. If you are expecting a big hotel with all you can eat buffets go to a mega resort. If you want a more quiet, less crowded place with good food come here. We have done both and will deffinitely stick to small boutique all inclusives like this one from now on.

Overall a great place to stay. For the price the all inclusive is good, you can always order more if you want as some of the dishes are smaller portions but it's modern, well located if you want to walk around playa del carmen, and the staff are very good. They are maybe a couple of employees short of prompt service but you can't fault the staff who try their best, and for the price we can be a little patient, a very very good option at the price per night. Some people are expecting a luxury hilton Bahamas resort for the price of a holiday inn (you'll know what I mean from other reviewers). Be realistic and look at the prices around the area, it is great value.

Overall this hotel was perfect for my vacation. I spent a lot of time off property, but had unlimited food and drinks and a clean room to come back to each day.(hint, bring a sound machine as it’s very close to loud restaurants). If you’re looking for luxury with over the top service, this place is not for you. I would absolutely return here, given I am not very needy.

Pros- location is amazing(both the beach and 5th Ave are around the corner), rooms and property are modern with plenty of greenery, food and beverage was good, staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Cons- service is nothing to brag about, plan to spend atleast an hour and half at any restaurant here and you likely will not get exactly what you ordered. Towels were an issue. They would not give my room more than one wash rag per day, there were 2 of us.

This resort was definitely within our budget and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was very kind and hospitable. I honestly believe this is the best inclusive resort I've ever been to! The rooms were quaint and clean. I had just a few issues with the room, like broken iron (they replaced it), clogged toilet (I'm sure from previous guest), and needing more towels and wash cloths upon check-in. They resolved my issues quickly and efficiently. Signs say do not flush tissue in toilets, throw them in the can next to toilet. It will clog your toilet. Special gratitude to our server Ivan, the manager Raul, and our masseuse (forgive me I can't remember her name). There is a gym, spa (you have to book a reservation and it is not included in your stay). Best massage I've ever had!!!! Recommend the 80 minute to fully immerse in the experience. The drinks were great. Endless and free unless you want shots or top shelf drinks/liquor. Plenty of bottled water available and their water at the restuarants in the hotel are filtered. The resort is a minute walk from 5th Avenue where all the action happens. Convenient stores galore if you need items you forgot to bring or snacks. There are plenty of food options, whether it be authentic Mexican food or other non Mexican options. Recommend asking for bottled water in restaurants outside of the resort. Desserts galore! Recommend the rolled ice cream tacos, gelato, or churros! There are plenty of nightlife options, but the boutiques and souvenir shops on the strip are expensive. There's a mall about 5-7 minutes walking distance from the resort. The beach is a 2 minute walk. If you aren't into excursions, plenty to do without going far.

A perfect week!! Thank you to the management and staff! You were all lovely! Service for breakfast, lunch and dinner was exceptional, and always a kind greeting and a smile. Able cleaned our room for us to perfection. Sindy at the front desk was lovely. We ventured off for one meal on 5th avenue- don’t do that! Over priced, bad service and terrible food!! (But that’s a different review altogether lol) The food at the Yukatan is exceptional, speaking as a chef and restaurant owner. The Chef came out to welcome me (traditional) which was really nice! We’ve always said there are too many places in the world to visit the same place twice. We will return to Mexico, and we will return to the Yukatan! See you next February (or maybe sooner lol ;)
I don’t know where “Kateryna” went wrong with her visit, maybe she should have stayed at home… 😐 If you want buffets and the sound of the sea at 10pm, don’t stay in a downtown hotel. Do your homework people!!

This is not our first stay, and we will stay again. We love the smaller size, location, food, and security of this hotel. Standard rooms just don’t feel standard at all…. Yes, there are issues, just like with every hotel everywhere. The sink is slow to drain, the safe doesn’t work, and it is difficult to keep towels at the pool. But, I’m not looking for a unicorn, just a safe comfortable home away from home and this hotel is perfect for me. The people who work here make this hotel what it is - and they all work hard. If you are here for more than two days and spend any time at the hotel you will get to know them and them you. Now matter how hot it is out in front of the hotel, you will be greeted with a smile when you leave and when you arrive. No matter how hot it is on the rooftop, you will receive your food and drink with a smile. I splurged on this trip and visited the spa where I had a therapeutic massage that made me feel like a different person. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the talent of Gabby Chan who works in the spa. I cannot say enough about everyone who works here. Hopefully this review will be shared with the staff so they will know their tireless dedication to visitors is noticed and appreciated!!! Their efforts do make a difference.

This little boutique hotel was absolutely amazing and 100% met all of my requirements. Me and my hubby stayed here for our vacation. He usually gets sick with all inclusive food, but he absolutely loved the food here We loved everything about this hotel. They have a little snack bar that’s so convenient and open 24 seven that was our favorite thing. breakfast lunch and dinner was very much accommodated the rooms are clean and mini fridge is always fully stocked!!! The beach is literally like a three minute walk, nice area right in the middle of everything where the clubs and touristic restaurants are at We are coming to stay at this hotel every time we are in Cancún now!!!

First time booking an all inclusive resort and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was the best ! Staff made sure we had everything we needed down to making arrangements to help with transportation. I loved the pool and the bartenders and waitresses/waiters always served with a positive attitude. I would love to book there again, met some great people. The resort is also close to a lot of night clubs/ bars and plenty of restaurants to enjoy. I loved the fact that it was quiet and we were able to pay for a day pass at the Hilton down the street. Book here ! You will not be disappointed.

The resort was centrally located within a short walking distance to the beach, shopping center area, and night life. The food and drink menus were incredible. The staff were very friendly, kind, and attentive. The rooftop vibes were on point. I will be recommending this location to all my family and friends. I also look forward to returning.

Literally loved this hotel better than the big Hilton! This was smaller, and the staff paid so much attention to us - and even taught us some Spanish :). I loved the pool - it has amazing views of the beach and Playa, and wasn't as busy or rowdy as the big Hilton. Food was AMAZING! Staff were super nice too - even before we checked in and had a million questions.

Great All-Inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen. All food choices are à la Carte, and if the portions are tiny for you, you can request another food option. Small and cozy rooftop bar with the pool. Very short walking distance to the beach. We will return 👍🏼

This hotel is top notch. Seems pretty new. Very clean. Everyone was extremely friendly. Very nice rooms. A word of warning/advice: It is "all inclusive", but don't get your hopes up and have unreasonable expectations based on the price. and it is all inclusive... to a point. For example, you're not getting a prime piece of steak included in the "all inclusive," but, for the price that you were paying for the room, you shouldn't expect that level of inclusivity...... the major things, breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, all of that's included. And it's right on the fifth/ the main hotspot in Playa, so this is really a great hotel.

The resort is not beachfront but walking distance to beach. Adult accommodation, so very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.
Staff are excellent. Special mention for Sara, Alex, Erica, the Barman on roof top, room service staff all made our stay memorable with excellent service.
We were there for 10 days and enjoyed every moment of our stay. House keeping and rooms are excellent. Honour members get a ribbon on the door is kind of cool. Being on 5th. Avenue makes it a great choice for people who like going for walks. The 5th. Avenue is buzzing with street performers, night clubs and amazing restaurants. We got to go to all nearby destinations with taxi sharing and ADO buss. Centrally located for all attractions.
All inclusive food and drinks were good with great choice of menu and restaurants.
Since we were there for 10 days we were craving for some change in food as all the menus were fix and no change on a day to day basis. However, the servers obliges us with vegetation versions and some out of menu dishes and that made us feed very privileged. One can go to Hilton’s bigger resort a few blocks away with day pass and it is a good change if one is staying longer at one place. Roof top Japanese restaurant and pool awesome.
All in all our destination for next visit 😎

This place is beautiful, everyone is so genuinely nice. I felt so welcome, and Ruben is amazing. Love him! The woman at the spa was great, I originally booked a standard room for one. I requested an upgrade upon availability, they didn't have that one, so i got eh Master suite promotion. Best thing ever so many perks and extras. The big Hilton access is great, get a cabana, but I prefer the private rooftop pool at the Yuca. All the food was delicious. The only thing was that my room phone didn't work, but It was fine bc there was always someone friendly around to help. this was the best and my first solo trip. I will be back!
