Fairmont Mayakoba

We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Mayakoba. The rooms were spacious and clean with added extras like bathrobes and slippers. The children were delighted to watch from the balcony the turtles in the canal below. The food is the real highlight. Every meal was delicious and the service was great. All the staff were friendly and seemed like they really enjoyed serving you. The pools were gorgeous and it was great to try kayaking and paddle boarding at the beach. We all loved the boat tour and Miguel was very knowledgeable and good humoured.

This resort is the best place to relax. Wonderful staff, beautiful white sand beach, perfect pools, and fantastic food. Who could ask for more? This staff here is exceptional top to bottom. They exceed your expectations. The landscaping, amenities, and perfect spa makes this my perfect vacation spot. Do as much or as little as you wish. A must try!!

What can I say? We had an amazing stay at the Fairmont Mayakoba for a company rewards trip and looking forward to returning in December with family. The food selection was fantastic (we were here for 4 nights and did not get bored of anything). Staff were amazing, and the property itself was beautiful. It is pretty secluded, so don’t expect to be able to walk to a town, although it isn’t far from Playa Del Carmen / 5th Avenue. If you stay here, be sure to book the boat ride, it was fantastic! Highly recommended (and get the all-inclusive option, as the prices for food are very expensive).

The Fairmont Mayakoba is an outstanding Resort. My family and I had an incredible time. The people, service and food were all excellent. The golf course was one of the best we’ve been to. We highly recommended it. We will certainly be coming back.

My husband and I snuck away for a child-free baby moon for 5 days and it was truly perfect. The hotel is beautiful, clean and updated. The rooms are very comfortable. We did the all inclusive package and the food did not disappoint. We enjoyed every meal and there are so many restaurants to choose from. Even though this resort is very kid friendly, it did not feel overwhelmed by kids or like the quality suffered at all. They had plenty of private adults only places, numerous pools, swim up bar, etc. And I could go on and on about the service. Every person who worked at the hotel did an amazing job and went above and beyond. They were genuinely helpful. We wanted to do the boat cruise around the properties but weren’t able to get a reservation so Juan Carlos took time out of his day to give us a quick private tour, it made our day and trip so special! Really highly recommend this property.

This was my third visit to Fairmont Mayakoba and it never disappoints, one of my favorite resorts I’ve ever stayed out. Service, food, pools, playa, all are exceptional. They offer so much. Thank you for such a pleasant vacation!

This is such a fantastic resort- there is something for every traveller- swim up bars, beaches, a kids club, beach pool, and many restaurants and amenities. The place is huge- the beach is about a mile from the main building but golf carts and bikes are plentiful so you reallly don’t have to wait. It’s not a party scene- but that wasn’t what we wanted.

The food was upscale- I highly recommend the all inclusive package. We aren’t big drinkers and it was still worth it.

A Memorable Stay in a Beautiful Hotel!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and I cannot express how impressed I was with every aspect of my experience. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and a breathtakingly beautiful atmosphere.

The rooms in this hotel are simply stunning. Immaculately clean, elegantly decorated, and equipped with all the amenities one could ask for. I felt like royalty during my entire stay. A special mention goes to Salvador, who not only ensured that my check-in process was seamless but also personally showed me to my room. His kindness and genuine hospitality were truly heartwarming.

Traveling with my family, I was delighted to find that this hotel is incredibly family-friendly. There were plenty of activities and facilities to keep them occupied, ensuring that our stay was enjoyable for all ages.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the hotel, there were a couple of minor downsides that I feel could be improved upon. Firstly, the choice of music throughout the hotel was a bit monotonous and lacked the vibrant energy I was hoping for. It would have been wonderful to have some upbeat vacation tunes to match the lively ambiance.

Additionally, when it came to dining options, I found the lack of casual lunch and dinner choices to be a slight inconvenience. Although the hotel's restaurant offered exquisite fine dining experiences, it would have been nice to have more casual options for a quick bite or a relaxed meal.

Overall, my stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The beauty of the rooms, the kindness of the staff, and the family-friendly atmosphere made it a truly memorable experience. While there were a few areas that could be improved upon, they did not overshadow the overall excellence of the hotel. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay.

We stayed here for an award trip and the site was amazing. Staff were incredibly warm and hospitable. The property was its own beautiful ecosystem. Highly recommended taking a boat tour around the property- we saw all kinds of wildlife. The food was amazing and the casita was luxurious.

Fabulous four day vacation with two of my best friends. Our first night we had dinner at La Laguna, which set the tone for an unforgettable time. Lizbeth was our server and she was the best server for our time at Mayakoba. That’s says a lot as we had good service everywhere but she was above and beyond - friendly, engaging, attentive, putting us totally at ease. Our night was topped off with an unexpected dessert and fireworks celebrating our 40+ years of friendship.

Stunning grounds and flora and a beautiful beach. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Throughout the hotel we were greeted by every member of staff we met. Loved the informative boat trip. Excellent food and a great choice of wines. Adults only pool has an amazing view as does La Laguna - would love to return.

Loved every second of it! Beautiful place, the beach, facilities, the staff, everything was wonderful. The restaurants have great food, specially Gaia, the best! We were thrilled to meet the chef. Also at Gaia, Leonardo our waiter was exceptional and Enrique’s tequila tasting also the best! Amazing stay 👍🏻

Had a wonderful stay this past week. The food was delicious, staff lovely - s/o to Enrique who helped us get situated. I visited the property prior to the recent renovation and was so impressed with the updates. I read a few negative reviews and they seemed quite nit-picky. Yes, the property is expansive but that is part of the allure and researching your destination beforehand. We quite enjoyed riding around on the golf carts - specifically at night while the jungle landscape was lit up

The service was amazing. Very friendly staff and highly accommodating. Thanks to our bellman, Irving, for going above and beyond to make our stay extra special with a fun note he left us reminding the kids about our credit at the Sweet Spot and for hooking us up with a boat ride to dinner when they were all booked. Annette, our concierge, made everything easy by setting up dinners and activities for us and for helping us make our son’s birthday the best celebration with balloons in the room, candy treats and a surprise dessert at dinner. Our housekeeping staff, Jesus and Amalia, always kept our room spotless and left us kind notes and roses at turndown. All of these little touches meant so much and made us feel welcome and special. Thank you!!

Our stay at the Fairmont Mayakoba was nothing less than amazing! The staff are kind, helpful, and all of the restaurants, pools, and amenities are clean and luxurious. Definitely will visit again!

Excellent place to stay, relax, and enjoy the south of Mexico. The staff demonstrated why they were there, always with the attitude of help and support you on everything, Lisset at the entrance, Grecia in the cenote, and Elmer in the guest service was perfect. The room was clean, and the bed left you rest very well. Also, the food in Fuego, the cantina, and laguna was perfekt. In the evening we took a mixology lesson, the experience was good.

We have the best experience at this hotel! The rooms were beautiful! The service is excellent and the breakfast is delicious! Especially want to complement Ana at reception and Alejandra at the spa for making my time amazing! Also the chefs at the breakfast that made the most delicious Huevos Rancheros!!! Thank you!

My husband, toddler, and I just came back from an unforgettable family vacation here. Our expectations were exceeded: from the beautiful property, to the consistently great service, and last but not least, the delicious food. Had a great stay at the Fairmont Mayakoba! The staff are fantastic, the food is incredible and the resort is stunning! We spent lots of time touring the property on the bikes and was completely in awe of the lushness of the vegetation and how much wild life is around. Cant wait to get back again.
