500 GRAMOS Italian Steakhouse and Grill

Located just off of 5 Ave downtown. Little quieter location than the Main Street. Good selection of North American food. We had the ribeye, well priced large portion. The service is excellent, food was cooked properly. The servers are younger friendly guys. Good place for family or a date, overall great experience. If you’re looking for food you would find in the USA this is a good spot. We recommend.

This place was so delightful, tucked a little within 5th.

The service was excellent. The prices were soooo reasonable being on 5th Ave where everything is priced high.

We had a bottle of red wine and the T-bone steak with an addition of their delicious green peppercorn sauce.

Everything was so yummy!! The steak was cooked perfectly, we even had a bit of leftover steak for our eggs in the morning.

I would recommend this place hands down! Don't miss out!! 😊

Highly recommended. We have a ritual of coming here several times a year and we have never been disappointed. The steak selection and quality is excellent. The menu is balanced and not overly extensive which says to us that the restaurant does not over store ingredients and everything is made fresh. Although 500 GRAMOS specializes in beef steaks an individual would be doing themselves an injustice by not sampling the appetizer or salad offerings. From the moment we arrive, greeted and seated we feel as if we are the only patrons as the service is personalized and extensive without being intrusive. Our regular waiter, Rodrigo is not only outstanding at his job he is very generous and kind as well.

We come here everytime we are in playa. It's delicious! Great quality steak and pasta and always great service!

This was a great experience, really good quality of all dishes for very reasonably prices. The wines selection is very good. The owner and his staff are super friendly. Highly recommend to have a delicious dinner. Don't miss this restaurant.

Amazing food! We had three fillet mignon and a T-bone and all were cooked to perfection and super cuts of meat with tasty sides, and drinks!

The true highlight though was Rod, the Argentinian server! He was so kind, polite and friendly! He brought a plate of all the cuts of meat out for us to look at and help decide and even told our daughter’s friend that if she didn’t like her fillet (she’d never eaten steak before!) that he’d get her something else! What amazing top class service from him!

Set in a cute courtyard 500 Gramos a fresh change from the busy and noisy strip! Would definitely go back!

파스타, 스테이크 정말 맛있음. A really wonderful place, atmosphere and an excellent service from the chef. Extremely dedicated and delicious food. The service from the staff and the kindness from them its a beautiful place to spend your time eating at night. Wonderful and very recommended.

My buddy and I ordered the t-bone and the ribeye. They were very well prepared and very delicious. They also put red Sichuan peppers, on the steaks so if you're not a fan of that, you can tell them to leave it out.

The portions were just the right amount and unless you are super hungry, there's more than enough on the plane to fill you up.

The prices were quite reasonable and I can see this being a regular stop.

This is a fantastic restaurant! My husband and I ate here 2 times while we were in Playa Del Carmen. I had the filet rare with potatoes and vegetables. The steak was phenomenal and melted in my mouth! The best lemon drop martinis in PDC! Benjamin was our waiter and he spoke fabulous English and did a great job. He was attentive, but not too much and so very friendly! The musician really set the ambiance, his music was beautiful! I will be coming back to this restaurant every time we visit and even more when we move to PDC. The prices are very reasonable also!

If you are looking for an amazing, intimate dining experience 500 Gramos is the place to go in Playa del Carmen. It’s a hidden gem!! The owner who is from Ohio is very personable; he greets each of his guests and ensures the highest level of customer service. His staff are very professional, very polite and overall extremely welcoming. The food is simply amazing!! My steak was cooked to perfection and the presentation was beautiful. I’ve been to other well known restaurants around Mexico and paid way more than what I received. At 500 Gramos it’s quite the opposite you get way more than what you’ll pay.. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to going back upon my return to Playa del Carmen.

Super good food and very nice service. As result you need to make sure to get a table as it is full most of the time.
Not only the steaks are fantastic, also good wines for reasonable prices👌🏼
Another amazing thing is the street artists that play really chill jazz music.
In other words the best we have experienced in PdC in terms of price/quality.

The steak was great! Probably the best steak you'll find that won't put a hole in your pocket.

The ambiance for Valentines Day was so perfect. The drinks are good, plus the Chocolate mouse is the bomb! Will highly recommend!

Steaks are very well priced and taste good. The sides are also cooked to perfection. (~300 pesos)

The burger/fries is not the best, but understandably it is not their speciality. Water is additional charge also.

Owner is really great and really tries to go above and beyond to make the guests happy. We can tell that she really cares about the quality of the food and her customers.

The male expat waiter has a pretentious attitude suited for fine dining but not in a vacation destination.

The food and hospitality was amazing!! Beautiful area of 5th Avenue and tucked away for a more intimate outdoor dining experience! If you are visiting Playa Del Carmen, 500 gramos grill is a must! You will not be disappointed!

Great place to eat highly recommend. If you feel like eating a good piece of beef this is your place. Prices are very reasonable and even low considering it’s in the 5th avenue. Service is 5 stars as well our waiter was always on top of thing and the owner was attentive and friendly. We went back two time while staying in Playa.

A great setting and amazing steaks. My ribeye was perfect and one of the most flavorful I have had in some time. Staff is super nice as is the owner. The sax/violin/harmonica/everything musician was awesome and a nice touch.
