Ah Cacao Chocolate Café

Highly recommend. Great coffee, nice selection of pastries and other drinks. Plenty of seating options both inside (a few booths, a bar) and outside tables under umbrellas. Friendly staff, including bilingual (English) if you need it.

The Chocolate Cake ($69MXN) is very good, it is not too sweet or fatty, while still saturating the hunger for a quick bite. They seem to use some kind of special dough that has a different texture than a classical cake, which I liked. The waiter brings it together with a complimentary glass of water that is refreshingly cold.

Don't throw away the receipt, it serves as your WiFi password (the code that starts with AC-...).

This place was our hands down favorite place in Playa. We frequented Ah Cacao everyday for either drinks or desserts. I highly recommend their mango smoothies, brownies, cheesecake, ice cream and coffee. Pretty much everything here is amazing. I made sure to stock up on coffee for home!

Stayed close by and came here every morning seven years ago. Returned to PDC for anotther vacation & it's still the best cup of coffee in Mexico!

I also picked up another big bottle of vanilla for baking. It's locally made and also amazing!

My favorite coffee chain in Playa del Carmen. It is a local cafe that has amazing coffee, espresso, and cacao products.

This is the best MOKA in the world. Try it and you will see. The Moka frappe has bits of coca chocolate inside of it that make it exceptional.

The brownies are gluten-free. It will s a great place to enjoy coffee, hot chocolate and artesanal pastries

They have great vegan options 🌱 at affordable prices. The mocha vegan cake and the vegan spinach tamale are delicious. Today I tried the new chocolate vegan muffin for the first time. It was amazing! 😍 I paid $35 MXN for it. Thank you so much for your vegan options. I look forward to some hazelnut vegan ice-cream.
Lastly, the new points discount for frequent customers is a good incentive to keep going back.

After having lunch in another pla ce, I was craving vegan chocolate ice cream to finish🙂 Passing by Ahcacao I hoped they have one,but they don’t) ..so I tried to find another option and bingo!! That was amazing! Chocolate maya “espresso”(no coffee inside) - spicy and sooo chocolate and small!❤rather sweet for me personally, but it just depends on taste! Will take it again someday❤

Very tasty ice Mocha coffee, you can choose coffee to be on almond milk. also we ate some ptadty plant based chocolate cake 😍not too sweet, great!

Good stuff!! I went here for cappuccino, which was fine. But what really shines is the Mayan hot chocolate (we had with milk) and the chocolate tamale. We were offered samples of their chocolate bars which are also good.

Couldn't recommend highly enough!

I had the chocolate plus a cookie, which were both delicious. My husband had the brownie and vanilla ice cream, which didn't make the photograph but it was amazing!
