Royal Elite Vacation Club - Sandos Caracol

We went to Sandos Carocal where we were invited to join a 90 minute (took 3 hours) presentation about their vacation club. We have attended these before but never chose to sign up. Don’t like timeshares!
This was presented as a point system instead of a ‘buy one week’ timeshare.
We don’t drink alcohol so they didn’t get us drunk to agree, as some reviews state. We decided, on our own that this would be a nice fit for our family, as we take them on vacation often.
The benefits of the club at Sandos Carocal were very nice, and worth the upgrade for our 20 family members.
Karim was kind and very attentive to our family needs and took great care of us throughout our 12 day stay. Meaghan was also a great asset.
They say it will save you between 25-35%. And for us, that’s about $5000 a vacation because we travel with big groups.
You get the room ‘free’ when you use your nights but need to pay the resorts ‘all-inclusive’ fee, which we were told was $59 for Sandos Caracol. Turns out that rate was $115 a night, not $59!
Just ask to see all-inclusive rates in writing to verify what you paid verses what you’ll save.
The current price per night for the rooms we had is $317 for 2 people. With the all-inclusive rate at $230 plus fees, it is a savings of about $50 per night. We had 4 rooms.
The concept is: you pay for your Sandos rooms ahead of time through your membership signup( comes to about $25 a night for 2 people) and then pay for them again when you use the rooms you paid for ahead of time (about $200/up a night)
For us, the Royal Elite benefits and the approximate 25% savings is worth it if we only want to travel to Mexico or Spain.
It also comes with equal amounts of RCI points. We haven’t attempted to use those so no review yet!
We will update this review, as needed, over our time of usage. We are semi-retired and travel monthly. We will most likely be using 300+ nights a year with our big family.

The wifi in the rooms could be better but other than that, this place was awesome! I’m a little unbiased though. It’s the only place I’ve been to when I went to Mexico. It’s close to Playa Del Carman so if you want to get out of the resort it’s just a short drive.

Spent a weekend at Sandos carosol and spent breakfast and 90 minutes of mine and my wife’s time with salesman Alex learning about what royal elite had to offer . I have to say was a pleasure listening to his sales pitch , was very up front ,placed no pressure on us and treated us exactly the same even after we told him that we just couldn’t afford it at this time. If situation was different I would have been perfectly comfortable with doing business with him thanks Alex.hope the champagne corks popped for you later that day

I recently spent a week at Sandos Caracol with my family. It was everything that we had hoped for and more!

For the kids, the animals - monkeys, raccoons, coatis, geckos, and turtles running wild in the resort as well as the petting zoo (donkeys, pigs, rabbits, chickens, goats, and ducks) not to mention the peacocks, parrots, and deers were awesome. The kids pool and water park were exceptional as well. The nighttime shows were really good and the kids club was amazing, my kids enjoyed sooo much

For the twenty somethings and more, the adult water park, main pool games, and swim up bar, cenote snorkelling, the diversity and quality of food, bikes and segways, the Mayan night shows, the romantic boat trip, and general availability of bars were all excellent!

We were allocated in Building 14 which was great. It is newly renovated section and the rooms were excellent, our room was cleaned every day and the house keeper use to do very funny animal’s figures with the towels, the kids loved it. The location was 5 minutes to anywhere and even faster once you figured out the shortcuts. Still a little grumpy that they don’t hand out maps.

The restaurants were all very good. Buffets had plenty of options. The Japanese restaurant is a must. The show is one of the best I have ever seen. Brazilian and Lirios (steak) were my other two favorites

The staff in general is super friendly, definitely we will be back, it was a great experience at a tremendous family resort for all ages. I would highly recommend it to friends and family.

Jair Valenzuela took very good care of me and my family. He helped me find my speaker that was accidentially left behind on a Cancun Adventure Catamaran to Isla Mujeres. He also made sure we had our dinner reservations and enjoyed the full amenities of the resort. He answered my late night request and questions. He was very helpful and attentive. We are super happy with his service.

This is the 4th time I’ve stayed at the Sandos hotel, been to playacar once, and three times to Caracol. Both of them are on the top ten resorts that are m family orientated. My kids love Caracol because there is a huge variety of animals, not to mentirthe aqua park, which is beautiful. We always come back. The good thing is that when you come to Sandos Caracol, you can visit Playacar with no extra charge! We had a great time! Even though last time rained for four days in a row!

Something that I must really mention is the fact that I was impressed by the people who make all this happen. Sandos is a community, and everyone greets you with a smile and a big and warm Hola! ☀

With this said, I highly recommend you to try this resort. I’m sure you will not regret it!

We went for a presentation and a tour around the resort. The benefits are very cool, and the resorts are always being upgraded, so we signed up and that was 3 years ago now. It’s been great so far.

Me encanta el servicio que se ofrece.. hace 1 año cambio el método de reserva ahora es por una app donde directamente lo puedo hacer sin depender de llamar siento que ese cambio fue muy bueno.. estuve en sandos finisterra hace un año ame el hotel el servicio y comida fueron de lo mejor Nikki la directora se acercaba a cada mesa saludando tuve el gusto de conocerla, hace poco estuve en sandos caracol reserve desde el año pasado y tome la promocion que estuvo con 2 menores gratis compare precio con la pagina y sin duda tuve un ahorro bastante importante... al llegar notamos una cancha nueva de padel, el restaurante riviera se remodelo, y las habitaciones que reservamos fueron las eco. Por que mis sobrinos aman el parque acuático y estan cerca de el .. mi mamá se enamoro del cenote y pasamos unas vacaciones increíbles a la llegada tuvimos amenidades y en el área de socios agradecemos el esfuerzo de todos los meseros que estuvieron siempre amables y alertas.

Verdaderamente una buena decisión convertirse en Socio, la diferencia es palpable. La atención del personal Royal Elite muy agradable y rápida, realmente positiva. Lo recomiendo mucho!

Me parece increible el hotel, esta muy completo tiene cenote, ruinas, actividades, shows nocturnos entre muchas cosas mas, es la segunda vez que viajamos con la membresia, Angie nos apoyo mucho en nuestra estancia, nos apoyo en nuestras cenas y con el detalle de sorpresa de mi hija, y nos dejo mas claro como funciona la membresia!!! graciasss

Viaje familiar, nos encanta el hotel desafortunadamente el restaurante Riviera esta en remodelacion y nos gusta mucho sin embargo disfrutamos todos los demas, Angie muy amable concierge nos apoyo con las reservaciones de cenas y nos invito a gala night la cual disfruamos mucho excelente servicio royal elite.

Que puedo decir, me encanta!!! Todo el año estoy contando los días para llegar a mi segundo hogar, adoro la sección de playa exclusiva de socios, nadie te molesta!! Estamos felices también de tener nuestras reservas de cenas en todo momento y de las atenciones de los concierge y empleados en general que dan todo para que estés feliz.

Excelente complejo diamante con un servicio inmejorable al grado que nos hizimos socios desde la primera visita !!! Hasta un cenote natural justo enfrente de la recepción !!! Sería interminable hablar de la belleza del Sandos Caracol !!!

Me fui de vacaciones con mi familia a playa del Carmen nos quedamos en Sandos caracol 5/6 días desde que llegamos en particular me gustó mucho ya que me sentí en un ambiente relajado rodeado de naturaleza. Mis hijos estaban fascinados con los changos y el parque acuático.
La verdad el clima no fue lo mejor estaba un poco nublado por lo que un par de días no disfrutamos tanto de la playa. Aprovechamos para ir al spa y tomar un masaje relajante con mi pareja. Sin más les recomiendo mucho el hotel si quieren disfrutar de unos días relajados rodeado de la gran variedad de actividades y restaurantes con los que cuenta el hotel.

Cuando mi familia y yo compramos esta membresía no nos esperábamos que la disfrutaríamos tanto pero la verdad es que cada año nos gusta más. Nuestra parte favorita es poder disfrutar de los hoteles a nuestro propio ritmo y con los descuentos en tours y transportes hemos conocido poco a poco los lugares turísticos más bellos. Definitivamente los recuerdos vividos en familia son lo mejor.

Nos encantan las zonas de socios porque siempre tienen la mejor playa y las albercas están para morirse! Nos encanta y ya hasta nos sentimos en casa cada que visitamos Sandos. La gente del hotel nos recuerda y nosotros felices de regresar a disfrutar de todas las areas.

Compré la membresía de royal de recién casados y ahora mis niños están disfrutando del nuevo parque acuático en playacar. Ha sido un placer ver el hotel crecer y que nosotros formemos parte de su historia. Definitivamente lo recomendaría si buscas tener asegurado un lugar tranquilo, familiar y sin complicaciones para tus futuras vacaciones.

Tenía mis dudas al principio por todo lo que escuchas de los clubes de vacaciones, pero una vez usando mi membresía entendí que es una inversión a largo plazo. No sólo mi familia puede disfrutar de mis noches, sino que también hasta mis amigos pueden venir y yo puedo ofrecerles mis beneficios como un extra en lugar de que viajen por su cuenta, definitivamente nos ha hecho sentir como personas especiales.

Mi familia y yo volvimos a Sandos del 1de diciembre al 8 esta vez nos decidimos por Sandos caracol, nuestra primera vez fue en Sandos Playacar donde nos hicimos socios de royal élite . Nuestras expectativas eran muy altas el hotel y el clima fue espectacular, las piscinas casi siempre disponible y el servicio de todo el staff fue muy amigable.
La playa tenía un poco de sargazo , pero por la mañana hay personas limpiando en realidad hay muy buena playa .
Gracias, mi familia yo esperamos el momento de regresar.
