One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at!

I loved:
- the territory itself, it’s like living in a jungle with an amazing pool;
- the building is super pink so you won’t ever get lost;
- that everyone here is at your service - I asked to carry my heavy suitcase from the 3rd from and a nice receptionist found a pretty handsome man who helped me;
- the breakfast - it was simple but really good: waffles with ham or fruits + coffee ☕ + fruit plate or juice
- that each room has 3 bunk beds and 6 sleeping surfaces, there are 2 rooms next to each other and it’s like it’s own apartment with a living room and a kitchen so if you are a group of 12 - it’s perfect for you!

I was not a fan of:
- loud music until midnight every day, it’s impossible to sleep even with your windows shut and earplugs in, the good thing that I read about it in the reviews before coming here and the band stops playing right at midnight;
- bathroom having no door, just a curtain;

Super cheap for what you get. Our private room with private bath was huge, like the size of an apartment. 6 people could sleep in here. The funky vibe and art are a plus. The pool was great to hang out and have a beer in. The only downside is the room is missing some simple amenities - there is no garbage can for the kitchen and no dishes or cookware. All in all a great value though. Very central location

Stayed here for one night. Can only recommend! Clean, lovely staff and music stopped playing at 11pm. So there was no noise after that which was nice. Breakfast was included and yummy!

This awesome Resort is unique, they have to beautiful ❤😍 cats they welcome you at the entrance, don't forget to purchase some treats for them, Thank you 🐱

I came here for an afternoon waffle and stayed for the atmosphere. The staff is extra friendly. They really made me feel welcome. I didn't stay in the hotel, but if I ever need accommodation in Playa del Carmen, this place will be one of my top options.

We have enjoyed our stay a lot, so much that we intended to stay for 3 nights but we stayed for 7. We were happy from the beginning as this was the first hotel in Mexico which actually offered a better price at the reception than on online reservation websites ❤ We were just about to give up asking.
The staff was very friendly and the room seemed like more than you pay for: a comfortable bedroom, large bathroom and a living room with kitchenette.
The room is cleaned daily, and when I say it is cleaned daily I mean it. Them people clean the room every day as if you are leaving and someone else is moving in.
Breakfast is lovely and the people who serve it are very nice and there are a lot of food choices. My favourite was the toast. The one thing I would improve about it are the coffee cups which look quite rusty...

However, when it comes to the rooms I would like for them to improve the state of their kitchenware: there was only one pot available for us and the state of it was disgusting; there were 2 plates and 2 bowls available, which were plastic and looked like they have over-lived; we only received 2 knives and 1 fork 🤷🏼‍♀; there is nowhere to cut stuff and no knife good enough, which helped turn the plastic plates into an absolute unhygienic mess.
Another downside is that there is no bedsheet, just a blanket, which is covered in nothing. This is both weird and uncomfortable because the air conditioning, no matter which buttons I pressed, only knew one setting: the North Pole..therefore you either keep it on and catch a cold or turn it off and sweat to death; I would have loved to be able to keep it turned off and simply cover myself in a bedsheet.

Strangest thing of them all: they call themselves a beer hotel but don’t even have a bar 😂🤷🏼‍♀

Other than that, I have loved this hotel 😁 go stay there!

We stayed originally 3 nights and came back for more! Amazing rooms. Great location! And amazing staff. Specially Milagros at the Reception. She is wonderful helping us to find everything around and giving great advice! It's one of the coolest hotels I've ever seen!!!!!!

I’ve stayed in their hostel twice. Conveniently located, the place offers great and clean amenities including a pool and areas to hang out, plus they offer a breakfast that I haven’t had as good in any other hostel before. (Can’t say anything about their hotel rooms though, but the shared places were great!)

Beautiful and spacious, private guest rooms equipped with bathroom and small kitchen, cable tv, and WiFi. Wonderful, friendly hosts!

Cozy, super close to the best beach (Mamitas) and reception guys are the kindest!

Un lugarcito muy callado para quienes gusten algo de tranquilidad y no estar en hostales que están sobre la 5a. El desayuno es básico, aunque muy rico

Personnel aux petits soins, souriant. Belle cour intérieure avec piscine et salon extérieur. Bureau partagé avec connexion wifi rapide. Selon l'emplacement de la chambre, il peut y avoir du bruit. Quelques défauts mais l'hôtel étant manifestement en rénovation, je suppose qu'ils disparaîtront.

Hermoso Hostel, las personas de la recepción son todo lo que está bien, solucionaron mis inquietudes y mis demandas, graciassssss por hacerme sentir segura y tranquila en Playa del Carmen. El seguridad del turno noche es divino, charlamos y me dió algunas segurencias de como trasladarme a Cancún. Volvería a elegir este lugar. Gracias.

Quede sorprendido con este hotel,está muy lindo,sus instalaciones son muy buenas,muy económico qué es.
Esta a 3 minutos de la playa.
Lo recomiendo,yo me volvería a hospedar ahí

Super bonito hotel! La decoración es increíble y el jardín es muy relajante.
Las habitaciones son amplias, con sala y cocina. La oferta de Spa con terapias de sanación que tienen es muy amplia.
Tuve la oportunidad de estar en una de las ceremonias de cacao, una experiencia diferente y muy bella!!

O lugar tem uma localização excelente, nossa hospedagem estava num lugar muito tranquilo e porém na rua de cima a rua principal de playa Del Carmem e
com ótimos restaurantes próximo.
O quarto contém 2 camas tem sala e cozinha e um banheiro com um closet e um ótimo secador de cabelo e também era limpado todos os dias.
Não há estacionamento porém a rua é bem segura, só lembre de colocar o parquímetro se não pode levar uma multa.

Recomendo o Mala Playa.

La ubicación esta súper bien, la habitación mucho más grande y cómoda de lo que pensé, me encantaron las instalaciones, si lo recomendaría y volvería

Si vuelvo a Playa del Carmen sin duda volveré a alojarme aquí. La ubicación es muy buena, el personal siempre atento y amable, las habitaciones están súper bien y las zonas comunes y piscina genial también. Buena relación calidad/precio.

Pase una estadía muy agradable. Los huéspedes muy agradables, personal super dedicado y el desayuno ofrece variedades muy interesantes!

En general un hotel con concepto único regresaría en familia o en pareja. Mis puntos:
😃La ubicación es excelente.
😃El concepto está muy original a todos nos gusto y mas que la habitación eran dos cuartos con una cocina y sala.
😃Todos muy amables y te hacen sentir en confianza. Un saludo para la paisana de Veracruz.
😃El desayuno rico, sencillo pero una porción que te deja satisfecho.
😃La relación costos beneficio es muy buena.
😃Si vienes en plan de amigos y desmadre al 100 y gastar poco, este es el lugar.
☹Creo que se puede mejorar un puntito la limpieza nada grave de verdad si limpio y olía bien. Pero hay detalles importantes que harían la experiencia mucho mejor. Si gustas los detalles tienen mi número.
😔No olvidar el protocolo de Covid. Aunque los huéspedes no usan cubre boca creo que todo el staff debe ser obligatorio usarlo. Recomiendo agregar alcohol en gel, así como el jabón y el shampoo.
😐Aunque vi que no tenía estacionamiento, pensé en dejarlo afuera del hotel, pero no contaba con que hay parquimetro de 10 a 22 hrs con un costo de 10 pesos por hora. Hay un estacionamiento a 4 cuadras. Esto es importante a considerar, si te ponen el cangrejo cuesta $600 MNX con descuento del 50% por pronto pago. Pero después de 24 hrs te lleva la grúa. Sería súper un convenio con algún estacionamiento para tener la opción. Es un plus al servicio.
