Illusion Hotel Boutique by BFH

First night, all ok. Room bigger than most I have seen in the Riviera Maya. The staff is very nice.
This is a nice hotel in terms of my expectations. I needed a budget stay, a room with air conditioning, an ensuite bathroom, and a view. I did not care about others saying stuff. I chose to take the breakfast. It is offered in another hotel not far. It is a simple breakfast, but it does the trick.
This review is after one night, so I reserve the right to change it at the end of my 4 nights stay.

Great place in the heart of Playa Del carmen for a budget! The rooms are okay. Booked and Executive room on Hopper but was told at the front desk that such a room type doesnt exist and Hopper may not have updates. The staff are super friendly and helpful!! Location is great very close to senorfrogs and ADO bus stop and just 50 mts from the happening 5th Avenue. Tv comes with channels and netflix! Fully Air conditioned room with safe and hair dryer. Water pressure was good in showers. Clean beds and bedsheets. Had a nice stay here. Highly recommended for budget travellers. Far better than the mex hotel in downtown cancun in terms of service and room facilities.

The location is very central and the premises are well maintained. Rooms are spacious and neat. Breakfast is the worst part: there's no variety in the choice of fruit. Don't fancy about pancakes and waffle. They are simply not available.
However, the staff is caring and very professional.

The hotel is close to everything! The staff is fabulous and our room is so big!
The Wi-Fi is not great but we are on vacation and it didn't bother us.
The pool is small but perfect because it was never crowded. My only complaint would be that the pool seemed dirty.
Other than that everything was wonderful. Loved all the stone work and the large open hallways. All the artwork is beautiful.
There is a lot of noise from the street but it never bothered us. I just used a noise app from my tablet and heard nothing and slept very peaceful.

views you can see from your room widow balcony. Staff is very friendly housekeeping ladies Lazaro and Difloria are nice and try to fulfill our needs in room. The guy at the front desk name Ricardo the guy at front desk and Gcnesis very sweet lady are very nice and help alot what we need.❤❤❤
I hardly recommend this place to stay in comfort and enjoy your trip as I did😎😊

Adorable little hotel with a beautiful courtyard! My friend and I had a lovely stay. The rooms are pretty big with a spacious bathroom/shower area. The a/c got PLENTY cold, which was nice during such a hot and humid week. The only thing that we might have liked better was hand soap in addition to shampoo and conditioner.

The concierge staff, Lalo and Ingrid, were very attentive and gave EXCELLENT suggestions. ❤ They also speak both Spanish and English fluently.

We had a great stay at Illusion Hotel.

It's location is insanely good, whereas you reach the Fifth Avenue cross with Calle 8 Norte in less than 30 seconds. By foot, you are 10 minutes from Walmart / MEGA Soriana, less than 5 minutes from ADO bus station (Terminal Turistica) / Parque Los Fundadores / Cozumel Ferry, and about 2 minutes from an OXXO. Try the pollo torta at La Cochi-Loka, a small restaurant very close to the hotel!

Our room was always very clean and wide. Shower is good. Bed is huge.

Staff was kind. Breakfast is good enough: bread and toster, margarine, orange juice, cake, coffee, tea, milk, cereal, cheese, banana, melon and apple.

There is an elevator in the hotel (four-store building). On the top floor there is a pool, and if you go up a stair you can actually see Calle 8 from up there.

Super friendly staff (Lety was always ready help), clean rooms, breakfast just enough (coffee, homemade bread, juice, fruit, oats). The best part is the location, great hotel to sleep and be ready to go out.

Clean, nice, cozy and great a/c! Staff was always smiling, friendly and helpful. Right in the heart of the main street, and only a few steps away from the beach while still having a pool! Breakfast was always fresh and nice.

To be honest am definitely coming back my name is carlos the front desk people always attend to any need great attitude the hotel is the best location 30 seconds across and 5th Avenue also I love it breakfast is acceptable I also enjoy it ! 😊

Stayed here a few years ago for my honeymoon. Fantastic. The staff were amazing and helped with our every need. From booking tours to Chichen Itza to Xcaret. Very close to the beach and the pool on the roof is great!

Incredibly attentive and friendly staff! Nice rooms, decent complimentary breakfast. For the price probably one of the best hotels to be found in Playa

I'm having a wonderful time here... right now the staff are professional but my best friends nothing is too much trouble...I had a small issue with the shower they've swopped our room for a stunner! With birthday wishes and balloons on our bed ..viva illusion!!!

Nice place. Friendly personal, clean room. Near restaurant and shops. Really center city and beach.

Central location, nice staff and tasty breakfast included from the adjoining cafe (particularly if you are served by Alejandro!)
