Recently rented a car from this location. It was so smooth and easy process. The staff at this location is super nice and helpful. Angelica & Jonathan were the two staff members who helped. Very nice people. Will definitely recommend if you want to rent Hassel free.

Extremely satisfied with my service at this location. It made my travel to Chichen Itza flawless. The employees were nice and friendly and gave me a nice upgrade because of my car choice. Although the rental location was not directly in downtown area it still felt safe and accessible. I saw some previous reviews that were bad regarding an insurance fee. Apparently there is a mandatory fee for Mexican insurance policies at the very least when not opting for insurances. So regardless this must be purchased. They spoke good English but definitely speaking Spanish will help clear up any potential misunderstandings.

First time probably in my life that I’ve had a 100% pleasant experience renting a car. Edris Sandoval and Angela (Manager) had an excellent attitude from start to finish. Rental process was extremely smooth. Congrats!!!

They showed us every scratch on the car and suggested taking a photo BEFORE we rented it. They gave us time to inspect the car by ourselves To make sure there was no hidden damage.
Returning the car took 5 min. They checked there was no damage and 👋

Edris Sandoval was extremely polite and helpful, as was everyone at there location. Very easy. We had an issue from earlier in our trip with the card we were using for the rental being compromised that complicated our return, but he made sure it was all good. Great experience!

After reading reviews about various car rental places in Playa Del Carman not honoring reservations, but that this place does, I decided to rent from here.

The car was ready for us when we arrived - an almost brand new VW Polo (we booked a Compact car). They also did not push to order extra insurance but just informed of the 10% i had to pay of any damage and offered extra insurance to avoid it, but accepted that I was fine with the 10%.

Overall good service and I would recommend renting from here despite that the place is a little bit of a walk from the centre.

We walked in with no reservations and the staff was very helpful setting us up quickly with a car. They may not have the lowest prices but the staff was great ensuring we got e everything we needed like the appropriate insurance while in another country.

We found the crew to be professional and working quickly. We got a total price with no hidden fees or extra sales later, car was clean and in good condition and checkout/in went quickly.
Maybe not the cheapest in PDC, but for us, worth the price for not having any issues.

I've rented from Avis, Hertz, Budget and Europcar in the past while in Quintana Roo. This National branch provided the best experience so far and I highly recommend it. I reserved online and there were no hidden fees at check-in time (they offered insurance that I rejected and they're not pushy). I made a mistake in my reservation dates that they easily corrected. Also I was able to extend it over Whatsapp for another couples days for a very fair amount. They have a restroom and it's walkable from the bus station, which is a plus. Excellent and friendly service and reliable car.

This is my second time renting a car with National in this location. In my last review, I did observe some deficiencies, but they contacted me and communicated with me via phone and email to make they could do the experience better. This time, I had a marvelous experience; they got new cars, and the ladies at the front desk were amiable and tried to go the extra mile explaining how the exchange rate works(that's a country thing and not the rental car). The car is brand new and is a great experience. They are better than Avis, and they do also explain the insurance. I will recommend it to families and travelers in this area, as they are very professional and follow the same customer service that a National rental car does in the US.

Had a great experience renting here. On vacation from US and rented a Chevy Aveo Automatic trans here to drive to Chichen Intza ruins. Opted for full insurance and got a very reasonable rate for two days. They even dropped us back at our resort when we were finished for cheaper than a taxi would have changed. 10/10 would rent here again.

Great experience from start to finish. Originally needed the car for two days, but then asked for an extra day. Was hassle free. Kevin at the front was very hospitable and made the transaction Very smooth.

After reading reviews of the other rental companies, I was getting worried about renting a car in Playa. However, I came here due to the positive reviews. Dania helped check me in and didn’t try to upsell me - she confirmed that the TPL insurance I booked on the reservation was what was required and explained the other coverages but did not pressure me to get them. The price I signed was the price I saw on the reservation. She performed a detailed review of the car with me and I was on my way. Would recommend!

I returned the car to the Cancun Airport. The staff quickly checked the condition of the car and I was on my way. The shuttle service to the terminal was quick (they indicate shuttles run every 5 minutes).

This is one of the most helpful and professional rental agencies I have ever used. Alejandro went far out of his way to help us with our early car return due to the virus shortening our trip. He personally found and took us to an excellent hotel nearby so we could wait for our flight home. Great prices and great car. Definitely use these folks if you are in town.

We rented a compact for 2 days here and the experience was smooth all around. We had a reservation from only a few days earlier and they honored it. The walk there and back from sandos Playacar was 45 mins and safe. I speak little Spanish but they had no problem with that.

Very honest and easy to work with. I was worried based on reviews from other companies, but Dania at National charged me exactly what she said (which was a reasonable rate and included all required coverages) and didn't try to upsell or add any fees when I brought it back. Very pleased and would definitely use them again.

This is the only place in Playa del Carmen where I would rent a car. I have rented from them about half a dozen times at this point and it went smoothly each time. They have always honored my reservations and had the car that I reserved. They also have always charged me the price from the reservation; no hidden fees (note that you have to purchase third party liability in Mexico, which I always include in my reservation). Other rental agencies in Playa are notorious for not honoring reservations. I see some of the reviews for this place say that has happened, but for me personally it has not happened at National and, like I said, I have rented from them around 6 times at this point.

After reading many reviews about the nightmares people had renting a car from the Cancun agencies we found National in Playa Del Carmen. We hit the jackpot...the staff we so friendly and helpful and spoke great English. We were also upgraded to a larger car at no extra charge. The whole process was transparent and easy. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this agency and their services.
