Maya Villa Condo Hotel & Beachclub

Wonderful hotel we had everything we needed for our 6 day stay family friendly excellent location walking distance to everywhere shops, restaurants,bars . One suggestion is if you have knee or immobility make sure to choose first level apartment lots of stairs. I will definitely book again and recommend 150%

Very comfortable and clean place. We really enjoyed our stay there. Couldn't have asked for more with all commodities provided. The pool was nice not too big not too small good size to just relax with warm water.

Great location on 1st Avenue, between Calle 12 & 16, where you can see, smell & easily walk to the Caribbean Sea, just a few seconds walk to restaurants & 5th Avenue & within minutes of other great restaurants & the grocery store. But quiet due to the beautiful & relaxing waterfall that provided background ambiance. We loved the heated hot tub, the small pool & the luscious gardens. We spent our afternoon siestas relaxing on our patio, with frosty cocktails & board games. I even had a nap one afternoon on the leaf shaped lounger on our 2nd shady patio!
Condo was kept in immaculate shape all week long by Sarita & her team. Bed made, always lots of towels, coffee filters, paper towel, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner & lotion. And Eric kindly brought us ice, twice! They really cannot do enough for you. Muchas gracias for making us feel at home.
Of note, the pool heater was broken but we were offered use of the heated pool just up the street. We found the couch & bed quite firm & there were no mattress toppers available for the bed. None of that mattered in the end & we are already booked to go back for another stay at our oasis, our home away from home!

Words can’t explain how enjoyable & well spent our time here was. My wife visited in 2018 for our honeymoon and were happy to get back and see the place still well kept with great improvements!!! It comes fully decked out with a kitchen, pool and jacuzzi downstairs + another pool by the beach!!! The office opened 24 hours which made it super convenient if we ever needed help or just to change our beach towels and get fresh ones! The view from the roof overlooking Cozumel is very nice too! We recommend this place for couples, friends, families & even singles to enjoy a nice and quiet neighborhood just a stone throw from 5th Avenue! I almost forgot to mention the spa downstairs, very lovely service with competitive prices! If you’re looking somewhere to stay within Playa Del Carmen, look no further- this place has everything you’re looking for to make you feel at home away from home! ❤

Staying at Maya Villa was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable experiences I've had while traveling in a different country. Tucked one street away from the hustle and bustle of 5th Ave, it is at a very convenient location but still has an exclusive, peaceful spa-like feel, with a beautiful unique pool and jacuzzi as the centerpiece of the inner courtyard. The room was very spacious and clean, and is complete with amenities, such as a TV, a small kitchen with stove, a water dispenser, AC and fans. I also love the tasteful Mayan decor and architecture of the whole place - it's not overdone and corny like other similar places I've seen. The cleaning staff did a great job, and the security guard at the gate during the evenings provided an added sense of safety. Right next to the hotel is a delicious Asian restaurant (Kobma), and a spa (Maya Spa) where we had the most wonderful massage. The office which is located one block from the hotel provides clean towels for any beach or cenote excursions. In conclusion, it was incredible value for money and the entire stay was simply perfect.

Wow! What a beautiful facility. Large, spacious rooms. Great amenities, and exceptional location. But most important was the service. Daniel and Felipe went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, to help with room maintenance fixes and to help us plan parts of our trip. Would love to come back here.

What a fabulous condo hotel. The units a huge and the inside is like an oasis. Would definitely come back. We had a two bedroom unit. We communicated with the front desk via whatsapp chat, which was very convenient. Our every problem was addressed almost immediately. Location is fantastic near the beach and main shopping street.

The Maya Villa Condo Hotel was the ideal place to spend our long awaited honeymoon. The location is ideal - The inside of the room is very quiet, you would never know that you're only steps away from the action outside! You can jump right in and return to your quiet oasis whenever you like. We had only one issue during our stay, and Javier handled everything with outstanding professionalism. If you are looking for the perfect combination of location and luxury, don't wait - book this place now! You will not regret it.

There is 24/7 check in service which was great because we arrived later than we expected - the young man who checked us in was friendly and informative. Our room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were well-kept and beautiful. The filtered water in the room was a great touch as we were able to fill our water bottles throughout the day. No complains from us, we would stay here again. Lovely location, close to restaurants (go to les amis a block over for the best sandwiches!!), the ferry to Cozumel, and the beach. We could not hear any of the party/club noise in our condo.

We did have a hand-written note on our door one night presumably from another guest warning of theft from housekeeping services, but we did not experience that ourselves (it is always best to lock any valuables in the safe in any hotel room). The only improvement we would recommend is a more secure door/a door that deadbolts to a wall, as we prefer something with a bit more security.. with that said there is a locked front gate with security so it is really not an issue that would keep us from staying here again.

The condo was fantastic. Beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were large and nice. Had a 2 bedroom with full living room and kitchen. The hotel was a block away from 5th ave. and 2 blocks from the beach club. The pool is nice, but smallish. Not much to do at the hotel, but plenty to do all around. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay! The location was excellent — close to everything but off of the busy 5th Ave strip. Staff was great and accommodating. The penthouse suite (#206) we stayed in was perfect for our family of 4. It was roomy, 2 bds 2 full baths, rooftop with private jacuzzi, and a more-than-sufficient A/C that has temperature controls in both bedrooms and the living area. The only thing con, if you want to call it that, is that the pool is not very big and starting to need some aesthetic upgrade/maintenance, but not a major issue for us. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Well-equipped, spacious apartments with tidy courtyard and cosy pool and jakuzzi.

Perfect location, near to the beach and the 5th Av.
A few steps away there are a some great restaurants with breakfast, meal and coctail options.

They have an underground garage for parking with cars.

In the apartment was a strange smell and after a few days is transferred to the clothes too.

Despite this, I strongly recommend this accommodation.

We had a lovely, spacious apartment that was a perfect home base for us and our 3 teenage children. It was quiet, safe and perfectly located close to everything. The staff are superb, patient and helpful. They provided excellent service and helped us have an amazing vacation.

Loved this place! We were not dissapointed in the slightest & once we were in person, the pictures were not misleading at all (as many times, hotel photos can be)

We have really enjoyed our stay. The big thing we loved was the blender to make our own frozen drinks!! We did not hear any music from 5th street, it is very quite. Walking distance of beach, ferry shopping and all kinds of restaurants and coffee shops.

After seeing great reviews of Porto Playa Condos we booked a stay for our first ever international trip. Upon arrival we were surprised in a great way! Often pics make a property look better, but in this case it was the opposite. Photos just don't do it justice! You enter a through a gated/guarded portal into a lush courtyard. The pools are gorgeous and the split level allows for privacy or not depending on mood. Our condo was beautifully furnished, luxurious and IMMACULATE! I am a stickler for cleanliness and it was spotless. The kitchen is stocked with some basic food and beverages (a very nominal fee is charged if eaten) so if you arrive too late to go to the store you have some options. The first night we had a leak from our AC. Within 15 minutes it was fixed and problem resolved. I have never had a facility respond with such quick and effective service! Rather than detracting from the stay, it just demonstrated how amazing the staff is! The food options were delicious. Plank was our go to for all meals. The food was amazing, service top-notch and ambiance was lovely. Indigo Beach Club is more casual, and while we loved being on the beach, each time we visited there were smokers and their smoke ruined our meal. As far as the beach at Indigo, there was a lot of seaweed and not a lot of beach which may have been a seasonal issue. It looked like there were some nicer beaches down by the ferry. The location is perfect - two minutes to food, shopping, entertainment, etc. but still quiet and peaceful. The wi-fi worked well if you need it for work/school. Finally, The Gym is one of the nicest facilities I've ever seen. I attended a vinyasa yoga class and it was great! Another fun perk was the other guests. Our family enjoyed visiting with people from all over the world and made some friends. We felt safe, comfortable and catered to at all times. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend Porto Playa! We will definitely be back!

This was our second trip to Porto Playa, both times we stayed in 220. A gorgeous unit with rooftop Jacuzzi and BBQ. We were given a discount as return guests, which was much appreciated. It is located at a perfect setting with a beautiful SUNNY and quite pool in a lush green tropical setting to provide privacy and quaint feeling that is not common at bigger hotels. The furnishings were all modern, comfortable and very tasteful. The staff were all outstanding, so friendly and helpful. The upgrades, since our last stay were a bonus, such as free wifi, and breakfast was included at Imprevist (it was so amazing that we even chose to eat diner there a couple of nights). We also enjoyed many of the restaurants they recommended and offered a 10% discount for dinners and they we're all delicious. The gym is awesome too, we used it everyday, as well as the beach passes at the club. We also took advantage of the spa with massages, facial and pedicure...all wonderful. Our only complaint...is having to leave. We will return, we had such a wonderful stay, thanks so much!!!

Very much enjoyed our stay. I wish I would have stayed longer. Has all the amenties needed on a great location. Beautiful rooms and decor. We stayed in one of the larger units which was very spacious and plenty of room for everyone. three levels, each with its own patio. We also BBQ on the private terrace on the propane grill and lounged in the private jacuzzi. All private amenities!

I stayed there with my 3 teenage daughter and enjoyed everything about our stay. Spacious rooms, living room and full kitchen.

Apartment hotel, this is my second time in Mexico and the second time I choose the chain's hotels. Excellent service in every problem, giving an immediate solution and moderating to correspond with them on WhatsApp as well. Our apartment was built of three levels, 3 shower and toilet rooms, 3 bedrooms, living room and kitchen, and on the roof of the apartment was a balcony with a BBQ and Jacuzzi stand. There is underground parking for vehicles. Inside the complex there is a small pool and Jacuzzi. Adjacent to the building there is a gym and hotel guests can enter free of charge.
The only downside is that it is not suitable for people with disabilities. Both to get to the rooms and inside the rooms there are stairs
