Was given an amazing Toyota avanza car for a brilliant rate for 7 days by ADOCAR by Luis On 5th Avenue .
The car was retuned in the same condition with no problems and my deposit of 500 usd was refunded to me in due course .
My pick up location was 5th Avenue and drop off was playa airport .

Rented car here for 7 days. They offered a lower price, than other companies. Had a baby chair, as some other companies - not. So, fair price and good service.

ADO does not disappoint. The customer service was excellent.
I was concerned as the address was off site from Cancun airport. We typically book a car hire directly from airport for convenience. The shuttle was prompt & efficient. The prices are comparable or less than the other major companies. We required two extensions due to unforeseen circumstances. ADO made this alteration a smooth transition on the contract.
We booked them again this year.
The smaller outfits work a little harder on the customer service end!!!

Go see Luis! I had a great experience renting a car from Luis at ADOCAR rental while I was in Playa Del Carmen. We had an issue with our first vehicle and so he ended up giving us a free upgrade for a larger vehicle! I have some tips to help ensure you have a good experience as well. I know that if you are visiting from the USA you will lean towards renting from one of the major brands you recognize like Hertz, Budget, Avis, etc. However, when it comes to renting a car in PDC it's all about who is working there, not which brand you choose. If you book with one of the major brands, a portion of your money you spend will be paying the profits of an international corporation rather than to the people of Mexico that you are visiting. If you book online through a car rental service, the same is true. Wouldn't you rather have all the money you spend go to a Mexican company owned by the people you are visiting?

Tip #1 - if you book online, whatever price you see will not be the final price you pay. This is true of ANY car rental place in PDC, not just ADOCAR. Many of the bad reviews are from people that booked a price online and then were upset about the extra fees and insurance they had to add on after arriving.

Tip #2 - Call or text Luis on WhatsApp prior to going to his store to make sure they have the vehicle you need. If he doesn't have it available right away, he can usually get one you need from the cancun airport within a few hours.

Tip #3 - if you walk in and get your vehicle directly from Luis, you will get the best price!

Tip #4 - get the insurance that Luis recommends. You can get extra coverage if you want, but the insurance Luis recommends by default provides you with safe enough coverage should something go wrong. Driving in PDC can be a little hectic! Don't try to go cheaper than he recommends or you might regret it!

We rented a small SUV for 5 days and it was 260 USD. We had a problem with the brakes making a scraping noise within a few hours of getting the vehicle. I messaged Luis about it on WhatsApp to let him know. Since he didn't have a replacement small suv available right away, he had to bring one in from the cancun Airport and it took an hour or so. He upgraded us to the mid sized suv for our troubles! Thanks again!

We have a great experience with Luis, the price and terms were very competitive (one of the best). The car we've gotten was clean and in nearly new condition. I will use this company again when I come back to Playa and recommend it to all my friends.

I booked a car over Infinitycar and had some problems with the station in Cancun. They didn’t picked me up in the night to gave me my paid car. After I contacted the customer service they transferred me to Luis Angel in PDC. He was very friendly and helped me a lot to get my car. The first car I got had some technical problems and Luis Angel helped me again to change the car. Thank you a lot! I can highly recommend him and Iam definitely will come back to rent a car! Luis managed to get us a car on short notice. His English is excellent and he is straight up with all the necessary information you need. The car had a few dings but it got us around the Yucatan with no problems. The price was fair. Best to rent directly from Luis at Adocar in Playa del Carmen rather than go through third parties.

Luis at Ado has taken care of my family for the past 7 years and have always had a pleasant experience. Very professional and always spot on. Pricing is the best in Playa! We looked and nobody could compare. He has went the extra mile for us year after year even giving us a ride back to our casa to avoid paying a taxi. I read a negative review posted 2 weeks ago and I assure you it's has not been like that for us ever. Things as with all business can sometimes go wrong from time to time so I don't fault them. We all can make mistakes so feel free to throw the first stone if you have never messed up! God bless you Luis and thank you for your kindness!

Luis at Adocar saved the day! We decided to rent a car from a competitor across the road and had a horrible time and ended up with no car after wasting 45 minutes. We then came here and Luis was very friendly and efficient. He got us set up with a car and sent us on our way within 15 minutes! He was even kind enough to pick up our car from our hotel the next morning without charge, even though it was far from here. Tip: always check to see if a car has automatic transmission (if you can’t drive manual) before paying online, that’s what happened with the competitor. THANK YOU LUIS FOR SAVING OUR AKUMAL AND TULUM TRIP! We will come again to rent from you next time!

If you rent directly from the shop in Playa Del Carmen and deal with Luis, you will have a 5 star experience. The negative reviews seem to be from people who rent through a third party appt such as Kayak etc. Luis was very clear with us about everything and we had a trouble free experience. He was able to give us a better price than anyone else.

Walked in in the morning and they found us a car for the day. The car was clean and in good condition and the guys there were super helpful in explaining the road systems, how to get where we wanted to go and where gas stations were etc. Bringing the car back was easy too. Very reasonably priced with all insurances and no issues with deposits or anything. Good honest genuine business and would definitely recommend if you need a car here in Playa Del Carmen.

Adocar is a great car agency in Playa del Carmen, Avenida 10 with 4th street. Very close to Biet Chabad and Antera Hotel. I was extremely satisfied with Adocar in all levels. The cars, the efficiency, the prices, the Service and most of all from Luis Angel! He took care of me and gave me the best service! A great person you can trust to be honest and give you the right details of availability and prices. I definitely recommend talking to him directly. While enough are in playa, just go to his office and wait for him patiently . Also I recommend paying in US dollars, cash or credit card. It’s cheaper than paying in pesos. I rented 3 times there and was very pleased! Gracias Luis for everything! 🙏

You need a car, you simply whatsapp Luis. My Wife come multiple times per year to Playa Del Carmen, through the years Luis has always provided fast , reliable, fairly priced, rental car services. I would sometimes text him a saturday night to reserve a car and he would answer the same night. Price is better then the big US brands.

I live in Playa and have rented cars from several places (including the American brands everyone is familiar with). This is the only place I rent from. Luis is the man and they don’t jack you around. The price is always the price, you don’t come in and it’s somehow magically doubled when you get done (like every other place).

He even upgraded me for free when the car I reserved wasn’t ready. There isn’t a single other car rental spot in Mexico that will do that!

ADOCar has been a great rental. Easy booking, pickup and return. Always helping answering any questions.

A great example of their service was during the return. We found a small damage to the back light. The staff checked and found that it had been reported earlier but missed when I picked it up. No charges. A great example of honesty and great service.

Worry-free and smooth experience beginning to the end. The car arrived as scheduled and was in great working condition with zero mechanical issues. Could not have asked for a better experience especially after reading so many horror stories of others' experiences. Honest business that upheld their online quoted rate with NO hidden fees. Renting a car in Mexico is not exactly easy or
Fun. But this was the best car rental experience we’ve had in Mexico. We walked in. Got a fair rental price, the cheapest insurance price we could find. They found cosmetic damage at the end which we showed a picture of and they dismissed it without a problem. Just straight forward.

Excellent car rental place. I live in Playa and highly recommend ADOCAR. I have rented with them several times and the cars are always very clean, in good shape and Luis's service is always excellent!

I reserved cars with Fox and Budget, went to find that cars weren’t there. I then randomly walked in Louis’s office. He said a car will be there in 2 hours, and it was. He also extended my time to return the car for 1h30 without charge.

Luis hooked us up with a great rental at a great price. He is friendly, speaks English, and is in a great location. This is a safe and easy place to rent while in Playa del Carmen
