Fiesta Car Rental Playa del Carmen

I came across Fiesta Car Rental after researching other places and finding that people had awful experiences with the big names (Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, etc.). I'm so glad I rented from Fiesta.

The pick up/drop off process was quick (I couldn't have spent more than 10 minutes total in their office), the car was impeccably clean, and everyone on the team was lovely. Please consider renting from them because I definitely am on my next trip. Thank you!

A little on the expensive side at $140 USD for the weekend but worth it for no hassle and the deposit being returned very quickly. The car was very clean, the service was fast, and the employees were very nice and spoke English. I would rent from them again.

Overall very good experience. From Canada and rented a full size car for 2 days. Booked online well in advance. Ended up costing $75usd each day. Prepaid 60usd and the remainder when I got the car. Also gave a deposit of 300usd which was based upon the vehicle type. The car was a brand new Kia rio, similar to an Elantra in size. Car was great. Would recommend this is the best bang for buck. The Jimmy is spiffy but they’re fairly small and cost a bit more. I was a little concerned about the deposit getting refunded but I took video and pictures and ended up getting the money back onto my credit card with no issues. I did a fair bit of research and this company seemed to have way better reviews more consistently than a lot of the American companies (national, budget, and etc.). I opted for the basic insurance which was the plus option which covered the vehicle for 90%. It was an extra 20usd each day for 100% coverage. All in all, good experience. I don’t speak Spanish and their English was sufficient to communicate. Would recommend.

This place is fantastic! They treated me very well and the car they rented me was a brand new dodge attitude 2023! Will definitely go here next time we are back in the area. They speak both English & Spanish which made it easier for us to get everything figured out. Their website is very easy and smooth for car rental reservations. All in all a great experience. Very legit car rental business, and I highly recommend them!

800 pesos for mid size car for 24 hours.
8000 pesos for deposit for the car.
They will do an inspection with you of the car beforehand to mark down any scratches or anything.

It was our first time visiting Mexico. I heard several claims of people being scammed so I did my research and found several possibilities. We ended up renting from Fiesta and it was a wonderful experience. The car was nice and drove well. They didn’t have any extra fees. The deposit was not expensive. They released the hold within a couple of days.
The agents were helpful and nice. They communicated easily and quickly with me. And answered all of my questions. We were even able to rent from Playa del Carmen and rerun it in front on the Cancun airport where they picked the car up. They made everything so easy. Will rent from them again for sure.

Read so many reviews of bad experiences at other larger chains before stumbling across Fiesta. We went with them based on the good reviews and had to come add another one. Process was easy, no scamming, no hidden fees. Car was clean and as expected. Great experience!

We hired a car for the day from Fiesta Car hire to visit Ek Balam. I found the communication quick and professional. The car was fairly new, clean and well maintained. There were no problems with returning the car in terms of administration. A nice touch was that we were late getting back due to traffic. Initially the man in charge was a little grumpy because they had closed the office and about to go home, but seeing how tired we were, he arranged a member of staff to take us down to the ferry. Brilliant!. So thank you.

Gilberto the manager is honest, reliable and friendly. He rented me a car the same day I arrived to their office. They did not charge any hidden fees or any scam. Everything was perfect, the car was cleaned before I took it and the price was right. They were the only car service who were able to rent me a 7-passager vehicle on such a short notice. Others had delays up to 2 weeks. It’s no surprise they’ve been into business for 22 years. I even forgot my garage key in the car when I returned it and the next morning Gilberto sent his partner Antonio (attached picture) to deliver my forgotten garage keys before I left my airbnb. It took him 10 minutes to arrive & give me my forgotten keys in a rush to accommodate me, just before I had to leave for the airport. I don’t think there’s a better rental service in all Playa Del Carmen. 5-stars and would recommend all my friends.

I enjoyed my experience with Fiesta Car. The pick us was very quick, all paperwork ready and there were none unexpected charges. Also the deposit was very reasonable comparing to some other companies.

Very nice, very kind, very reliable.
We would recommend it every time again and it's definitely better than the big franchise, like National (which gave us a very bad experience), and you support the local business.

We've had a great experience! The car was good and the service and kindness of the staff was perfect! Quick response by e-mail and whatsapp. Makes you feel safe if anything might of happened. We would highly recommend to rent with them! We booked online while in Playa del Carmen and requested a drop off in Cancun. Everything went smooth! Especially our thanks to Veronica!

Great service. Heard horror stories about Mexican car rental locations and they put all of that at ease. Ricardo waited late for us due to a flight change to make sure we got our vehicle. No harassment for the extra coverage, clear pricing unlike half the stuff advertised online, and seamless check out process. Even before the rental the manager Veronica had promptly exchanged emails with me answering all my questions about the process and what’s needed and even helping with other travel related questions. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience with Fiesta Car Rental. The booking process was a breeze and the staff were very helpful and honest. Playa is full of car rental scammers but this company is solid. The car was in excellent condition, had no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend!

The best car rental I've used in Playa Del Carmen/Mexico in general! Very responsive customer service over email/whatsapp through Antonio. They delivered and picked up the car from our hotel in Playacar. Our rep Jose Gomez took good care of us. :)

Very punctual and communicative drop off/pick up. Contrary to so many other car rentals, you just know there's not a bone in their body that wants to scam you. Instead, they go above and beyond to accommodate your needs.

I swear by only using them every time I'll be in Playa or Cancun!

Great people. Small place with no frills. They took care of us. We had a horrible experience with National Car Rental cancelling our reservation during high season and then trying to gauge us for more money when we were trapped. Fiesta price matched in busy season and even gave us a ride home. Great customer service.

This is the third time we have rented from Fiesta and they're very accommodating and honest. We very highly recommend fiesta car rental.

As other reviewers said, this place really came through for us when we were dealing with cancelled reservations from price gouging international name brand companies. They were courteous and professional, went the extra mile to be helpful and gave us a good price.
