Playa Palms Beach Hotel

This place is located in walking distance to all the night clubs and the main 5th avenue. Malls, high end restaurants lots to see and not only 5th avenue walk both side it’s beautiful.
Staff was friendly and helpful. They can also book tours I think it was cheaper at the hotel. It has a small pool and beach. This is seaweed season. Breakfast is there for a fee which they bring it to your patio. I booked an apartment style which was furnished. Bed room was a bit small but everything was great. I would recommend

Perfect location! Super friendly and helpful staff. They always greet you with a warm energy and make sure you're all good. Beautiful private beach views, perfect for sunrise watching. Will come back here!!

A really great stay right on the beach. Rooms are spacious and very clean. A small property but overall well kept. The only downfall was that there is no cell phone service, and wifi Internet is terrible. We were able to find a spot on the balcony where we could get wifi. I know that we should be able to go without phone and wifi, but we usually have working vacations and that was a problem.

Freddie made us feel really welcome, the room was exceptionally value with nice cool air con, pool was clean and cool and the beach is lovely and quiet

This hotel was absolutely perfect for my solo trip to Playa Del Carmen! The hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. The room was the perfect size, clean, and had kitchen appliances, everything you’d need for your stay. My FAVORITE part of the room was the hammock overlooking the balcony to the ocean view. The location was perfect, just a short walk to all of the activities, restaurants, etc. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Playa Del Carmen.. thank you for the great stay!

Having prepared my trip in a day and stumbled upon this hotel last minute, I can confidently say that it was one of my greatest discoveries in Playa del Carmen. From the moment I arrived, my experience was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind throughout my stay.

The hotel's location couldn't have been better - it's situated in the heart of Playa del Carmen and only a few steps away from Quinta Avenida, which made exploring the area a breeze.

What I loved most about the hotel was its cleanliness, nature-filled surroundings, and relaxing ambiance. I had come to unwind and relax, and the hotel certainly delivered on that front.

The pool was amazing, and it was always impeccably clean. While the beach in front of the hotel was not accessible due to boats, I found that the beach right next door and the public beach within walking distance were great alternatives.

Overall, my experience was nothing short of outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Playa del Carmen. If you're looking for a well-located, clean, and relaxing hotel, I highly recommend giving this one a try!

This was our first time in Mexico and we really enjoyed our stay here at Playa Palms. Our room was comfortable, clean, and the staff were very hospitable. You're just steps away from the beach and only a couple blocks away from the downtown area, which has plenty of restaurants, shops and entertainment. We typically don't eat the hotel food and prefer to check out what's around us, but the breakfast here was super cheap for two and so good! My only complaint here would be the parking. If you're looking for a nice, affordable beachfront hotel, don't hesitate to try this place.

The night staff were my favorite. They are super friendly and welcoming and so hard working. We checked in around midnight and they took our room service order for the morning at 9am and the same night staff brought us our breakfast. During these times so many businesses use "covid" as an excuse to not provide good service but the hospitality here was on point. They clean the rooms daily and provide fresh towels and even leave an elephant folded towel on our bed. Its all in the small details... I want to personally thank everyone her, and can't leave out the wonderful young lady who serviced our room daily. Also, the wall decor is from local artists. It's a small boutique hotel and the experience was so unique. If you're looking to try something other than the "resort-style" experience, this is a great choice. The front desk guy from the daytime was also very warm and friendly. Didn't have much interaction with him but the few times we did need help, he was super helpful and super nice. I'll definitely return to this same hotel in the near future.

Freddie at the reception is very nice! The room is super nice, comfortable and clean. The hammock is the best! The beach access is private and calm. The place seems secure and safe and in the heart of all the fun. Very good for the price and I felt super safe travelling here solo. They called a cab for me when I requested and always available for help. I loved it!

Beautiful and clean boutique hotel right on the water and close to shopping and restaurants. The rooms were well maintained and clean; breakfast was great and the balconies were perfection. Love all the lush plants and the friendly staff. We had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. Loved our stay at Playa Palms Beach Hotel and would highly recommend!!

This place is awesome. Really small quiet place in a perfect location right on the beach and close to everything. Only two blocks from the main strip of shopping. I’m not sure why this is only rated 3 stars, the rooms are nicer than the 4 stars I’ve stayed at. Staff is friendly. The only negative is that when the room is priced in dollars it is converted to pesos at a higher rate than the daily conversion but the price for quality oceanfront is still worth it. Close to great bars and restaurants. There are complaints from people that don’t like how strict they are about noise at night, but for me that was a positive. I’m at an age where I don’t want to listen to loud music and people partying in the pool til all hours of the night. Also the complaints about stinky seaweed has been taken care of, the beach is beautiful.

This place is excellent! Clean rooms, great location, and quiet. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Don’t hesitate to book!

Great place!!!! This is a gem found in the entertainment area of Playa del Carmen. Nice oceanview from the rooms and pool. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. They will recommend tours to nearby parks and help you with recommendations or anything else needed: one night I saw a guest (probably drunk) sleeping in the area near the pool and hotel staff stayed at the pool all night making sure this guest was Ok. Next morning both guest and hotel staff were still there, so I was really surprised how much do they care about guests well being. On the flip side, the hotel has no restaurant but being located where it is, there are lots of restaurants around to taste real Mexican food so even if they had it I would still dine out. Again: great place, definitely recommended.

The penthouse is a must! Don’t even think twice. The room is equipped with kitchenette, a loft adds an extra space and an additional bed. High ceilings. AC and fan. Big balcony with ocean view. The location is right in the heart of town. One block away from fifth ave but still pretty quiet. All staff were very welcoming and kind.

We stayed here 13 days and absolutely loved the experience. The staff was super friendly and very responsive to requests. The place was well maintained, and having a private beach club to hang out in was so much better than fighting for space on the public sections. The sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep at night. It's also affordable, in a great section of town, and was central too all the places we wanted to go. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved this place! We rented the penthouse for one night and the place was adorable! Super clean and you cannot beat the gorgeous private patio right on the water! Right downtown Playa del Carmen so you are steps away from all the restaurants and strip. It’s a very relaxing spot, small and quite. Wish we were staying longer!!

We had a wonderful stay! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We felt at home. Will definitely come back. We had our breakfast delivered to our room every morning with fresh fruit, toast, sweet breads and coffee. Location is perfect! It is right in the middle of all the activities and right there from 5th Ave. The rooms are soundproof and comfortable. Enjoyed my mornings at the beach watching all the activities with the fishermen. I highly recommend it. Thanks to all the staff, you made our stay so worthwhile!

The employees are the best ! The moment we walked in we were greeted like we were regulars there , I've never felt so comfortable in a hotel before. The room was fantastic with the view and sound of the ocean front. I would highly recommend this place. It's a short walk to dining and shopping. The Martini Bar on the next street over is a Must Do ! 2 × 1 All day !

This is a quaint boutique hotel. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast each day on the veranda of our room. Lots of Mexican charm. Very safe with security checking in to make sure anyone venturing through the hotel was a guest. Would highly recommend.
