Shwe Nadi Guest House in Nyaung U

A really good guest house with rooms for good prices. We arrived here at 4:30am off a night bus and were showed straight to our room we had already booked. We slept for another five hours which made a huge different to our next day in Bagan.
We stayed here two nights and enjoyed the varied breakfasts (ask firmly for rice if you need gluten free). The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful.
You can hire good e-bikes here for 6000ks a day.

We had a really nice stay in this guest house. First of all, we arrived in the middle of the night by nightbus, and there were no problem for giving us the key to the room. The breakfasts are enormous and really tasty, with samosas, chinese donuts, tea, coffee, eggs, fruits,... they also accepted to give me some simple plain rice one morning when I wasn't feeling that good. The rooms are as expected, quite big, with good mattress. The shared showers and toilets are cleaned several times a day so no problem. The location is convenient, and it is possible to rent electric scooters at a price that I think fair (5000 kyats if I am not mistaken). The staff was very nice and helpful, and have been available to answer our question. They also helped us to book buses and all.

I spent here 3 nights and it was great! Very nice staff, good location, clean toilet and showers, it was quite at night, the bed was comfy. Their free breakfast was the best part. The portion is huge and tasty, you get so much stuff! I absolutely loved it. The only downside is the internet,. It hardly worked during the day and absolutely no chance for connecting during the evening.

Great place to stay. They had a really nice breakfast option and lovely staff. They had E-scooters and push bikes to hire for a reasonable price and we were able to book tours and bus tickets from the reception. Lots of good food options on the same street for dinner and lunch. Pretty clean rooms and bathrooms.

Nice hotel with helpful staff and pleasant rooms.

Spent two nights here, one upon arriving in Bagan at 04:30 off the bus (well worth the cost of a night to have a good sleep). The rooms were clean, hot showers fairly reliable, and breakfast decent. Like many places in Myanmar breakfast is simply served rather than ordered - it's worth requesting what you want even without menu (for us - rice, fried eggs and toast). The hotel also rent e-bikes for 6'000K which is convenient - just keep an eye on the battery level!

Very nice guest house with friendly staff. The rooms are clean and have fans and airconditioning. A great breakfast is included in the room rate. At the reception you can rent electric scooters to explore the temples of Bagan in the midst p pleasant way. It is also possible to book transport and arrange tours. Definitely a great guesthouse!

Wonderful customer service. The staff were really nice and accommodating. They spoke good English and we could communicate with them. Our rooms were very clean and tidy. Free breakfast in the morning was wonderful! And they had bikes for 1500 kyat for a full day! Other options as well

The Guesthouse is very good. The people are very friendly and the rooms are clean.
I lost my key for the scooter and they didn't even charge me. The next day I went for a long bus ride and they allowed me to eat breakfast and than take something for the bus ride with me.

The staff is very welcoming and warm. The owner help me much about calling a massage and help me as well to get there. Got an early check-in room. Good breakfast. What else would you ask if you already have a nice room, good breakfast, enough basic facilities, and helpful staff?? 😁👍🏼

Best breakfast I had in Myanmar. Staff nice and room we had (double) had lovely courtyard outside. Be prepared to be woke up early for loud prayers outside. Some power outages while we were there but they got up and running very quickly. Have access to bikes and e bikes which is brilliant.

We enjoyed our time here. Arrived before 8am and were able to check-in and eat breakfast. The breakfast is very good, there was a nice assortment of food in comparison to other complimentary breakfasts. Also have the ebike for rent at 5000kayt a day. They can do your booking for bus or other transport when leaving Bagan. Would recommend and stay again!

When we arrived at 7 in the morning, we could check in immediately and even got free breakfast! The staff is super friendly and helps you with anything. The breakfast was good, the rooms were nice and clean and the beds very comfortable. I definitely recommend it!

Pros:
Flexible check in hour. We got there early so they let us in around 7am, as soon as the previous guests were out and the room was cleaned.
Clean room and toilet. We had our private shower.

Pretty sumptuous breakfast hahaha NOTE: You can order mohinga too! They won't automatically bring it to you but if you order, they'll make it for free!
Perfect location to anywhere in Bagan and Nyaung U.
As off June 2017, the ebike is still 7,000 kyats and we didn't have any problems with them.
The bus back to Yangon even picked us up at the hostel. We basically saved at least 10,000 kyats and lots of bargaining.

Cons:
The shower on the upper level is very weak. If you book a room with private shower, it is this. If you want better shower you can come downstairs.

We were able to check in at 9am after arriving at 5am. Went to watch the sunrise, ate breakfast and came back to sleep so that was nice. Best free breakfast I've had in a long time. Nice rooms, great shower

Great stay. They accept credit cards and don't charge extra for this. The breakfast is very generous (very good samosas and fried bread) . They can rent bike and ebike. The staff can help you with shared taxi to Mt Popa or boat to Mandalay. During the night is quiet.

This is a great hotel for the price and service. Clean facilities and very helpful staff. We were only there for the day to rent ebikes to tour the city and used the hotel to take a nap, shower, and leave our bags. We arrived on the overnight bus at 5am. The room was not ready until noon, but the staff let us leave our bags in the lobby and rent ebikes to see watch the sunrise at Bulethi. Ebikes were great, stayed fully charged the whole day and only 7000 kyat. Hotel staff also arranged a free shuttle pickup to the bus terminal so we didn’t have to pay for a cab.

The best Guest House I've been to in my whole Myanmar 🇲🇲 trip!!!

The staff was smiling all the time and looked happy to be working there. The staff was amazingly helpful buying bus tickets 🎟 for us!

Other friends were staying in other places in the town, but we're disappointed considering the price they paid.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to recuperate after the long Kalaw - Inle Lake trekk.

Stayed here for two nights. One of the best places to stay in Bagan. Really clean rooms, shared bathrooms have nice hot showers which are well-maintained, white bedsheets in rooms, a filling breakfast included, couldn't ask for more.

A gem of a guest house. Very nice and clean rooms with high quality beds and a refrigerator. You can have a double room with air con for 20$. Standard price for the region. Breakfast is included and the wi-fi is decent. The staff speaks english and are very helpful. Bicycles are 1000 per day.

The service was really awesome. Kyu Kyu is very hands-on, she was like a mom to us during our whole stay. When we arrived, she gave us free ride to the money changer and suggested good restaurants to eat in Bagan. She has arranged the tour for us wherein the driver also did a great job as he did not just drove us to known places but also those not visited by tourists. We had a great experience in Bagan because or the people from this guesthouse - they were very friendly and nice.
If you are coming from other cities, I suggest to contact them so they can fetch you from
the bus station and not get scammed by taxi.
