Hiru Resort & Kite Surfing

A hidden gem in Kalpitiya with great service and wonderful staff. We stayed in the family room with Jacuzzi which was very spacious with a double bed, double mattress upstairs and a pvt garden area to relax in. Breakfast buffet was tasty and was accompanied with a glass of fresh fruit juice. Loved the whole ambience of the resort. Beach is a short walk away but we decided to drive to the kite surfing area instead. Overall had a very pleasant and relaxing 2 days here. Would like to thanks the staff of Hiru resort for making our stay comfortable.

Amazing location in Kudawa! We spent five nights at this hotel, the service was exceptional and the food was delicious. The hotel staff are so friendly, especially the restaurant manager, always smiling and polite. Would recommend to anyone staying in Sri Lanka in this region or anyone wanting a relaxing get away.

Had a lovely time here with my 2-year-old son and parents. It was just before the season kicked off so fairly quiet. The resort is very modern, stylish and comfortable. The beach is not even 300m walk away. We enjoyed the pool, bar food and friendliness of local staff. Can certainly recommend!

We stayed here for some days and loved the location very much. The rooms are big and the interior is beautiful. The pool is really nice. The staff is very helpful and always so kind. The food we had was so delicious, every single dish was perfect. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay.

A tranquil place to stay in Kalpitiya. Two nights here is not enough. We had a small private enclosed outdoor area with bean bags which we took advantage of. The bathroom is spacious, beds are clean and comfy and the staff is great. The kitchen staff is amazing too and I loved the tomato soup!!

Best Hotel I have done during my stay in Sri Lanka. Villas are beautiful, nice design and clean. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Very quiet area, close to the beach.
Not much arround but if you look for a peaceful place this is just perfect.
However they don't clean rooms everyday, only on demand.

Stayed here for two nights. And it was an unforgettable experience. It was the perfect place in Kalpitiya if you are looking to just chillout and relax without getting involved in outside activities. Rooms are super tidy. All the staff from Manager to house keeping ladies are very friendly. A big thank you to the in-house Chef who made us unforgettable meals.

We love this place! The villas are super nicely decorated and the open bathroom is spectacular. It really exceeded our expectations.
The breakfast has a wide variety of delicious homemade local dishes, fresh fruits, fresh juice as well as the standard western choices.
People running the resort cannot be more attentive and kind, they help with every single thing you need.
Can’t wait to be back :)

Location is a 4 because it's not on the beach but it's just 2minute work, the staff and service are first class

Hiru resort is the best place if you are looking for a romantic get away. The chalets are spacious, clean, cozy and seperated as individual spaces giving utmost privacy.
Chalet consists of a outdoor wasroom which was really nice.
There's a nice pool which looks wonderful for photos.
Beach is walking distance from the resort and you can go on a long walk on the beach.
When it comes to food, all the meals were served in a buffet. Food was tasty. They had a good variety of seafood.
The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. They even gifted us a small token of appriciation since we were there on the Christmas day.
Overall a very good experience and would like to recommend the place.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hiru resort for 2 nights. The manager, chef and all staff (special mention to Mahesh and his arrak and sprite cocktails) were amazing. A peaceful stay through and through. A short walk to the beach is needed as it’s not directly on the beach front. The chef’s food was really tasty and he was incredibly kind, making an early morning breakfast before we went on a dolphin and whale excursion. The huts are beautiful, well designed, comfortable and spacious. The staff allowed us to borrow some bikes so we could cycle round Kalpitiya. What a wonderful stay. Thanks again!

classic nice place. Beautifully architectured. Food is delicious. Staff is so friendly. Bathroom is in an open area, but private. Better if bathroom walls had some hooks to hang clothes/towels etc. Overall superb and I strongly recommend.😁👌☺

Hiru Resort fantastic rooms, like a cottage.The service very good but I have special mention for Akila, she is the best!!!! She help me with a personal issue and I was very greatiful to her.

We’ve traveled a lot in Asia and we’re from Florida, USA which is a huge beach resort area. Hiru, hands down, is absolutely the best and most uniquely inviting villa resort we’ve ever stayed. The villas are exquisite, tasteful and obviously designed by an expert architect who has a heart for integrating nature and outdoor living seamlessly flowing into the comfortable air-conditioned indoor suites. Everything was thought out including space for clothing storage, shelf space, lounging, sleeping, and outside private courtyards with 2 sets of French doors. One leading to the large, extremely private outdoor bathroom and shower area surrounded by an 8 foot beautiful rock wall. The second set of French doors lead to the front, private courtyard surrounded by a very private woven coconut wall. All landscaped with mature mango trees, frangipani and other tropical trees and flowers. The interior wood cabinet doors, furniture, tables and shelves are hand made with expert wood craftsmanship. Lighting options are plentiful.
The price for this beautiful villa is incredibly excellent for what you receive.
And the manager, staff and servers are beyond par - highly skilled, professional, polite, personable and extremely helpful. The food is excellent with many offerings and huge seafood platters if you desire. Chef Nicson will provide foods to order if the supplies are handy. Chef provides a delicious Western and Asian breakfast buffet with fresh fruit juice daily. The delightful housekeepers clean and rake the whole property and clean the pool daily. This is a beautifully managed property with a happy staff. You must stay in this resort with it’s 10 villas and exquisite, tasteful open-air covered dining area. It’s close to everything by expert tuk tuk drivers. We highly recommend our driver, Isura, who is has good English, was on time, and good for his word. We paid him in advance for our daily trips to and from the lagoon where we took kiteboarding lessons from Margarita’s Kiteboarding, an international IKO certificated school.
I am completely in love and spoiled forever by this amazing resort.

Nice Hotel in Kalpitiya, Found it by chance while searching for a place during the travel restrictions. Just a short walk to almost a pristine beach with almost no people around. Food was good for the price point. Excellent Staff. Would Visit again
