Blue Whale Resort Kalpitiya

My family and I stayed at a hotel where the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly from booking to check-out. The delicious food, coupled with its beachfront location perfect for kite surfing, made our stay memorable. The serene environment allowed us to enjoy stunning sunsets, and the hotel arranged an amazing whale and dolphin watching experience with boat riders dedicated to providing the best views. Our nearly 3-hour boat ride resulted in a delightful experience watching dolphins. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Nice resort on the beach for kitesurfing in winter season. Friendly staff and the manager is exceptional.

The chalets are nice and clean, pool setup is perfect. The food was always good and at a fair price.

This is a wonderful hotel. The hotel owner as well as the hotel staff welcomed us very warmly. They were very friendly throughout our stay and attended to our needs with great dedication and enthusiasm. Talking about the food here, they were very fresh and delicious. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are perfect. The room, bathroom and swimming pool are very nice and clean. The bedroom is very well managed and comfortable. So we spent the most beautiful unforgettable day here.

we only went to use the pool, tax was 2000 rupees, we also had coffee. the property is lovely and staff is very friendly.
There's not much to do in the area except boat trips/water activities.

The hotel is an oasis for relaxation. Near the beach where you have a stunning view.
The staff is very kind, friendly and ready to help with everything.

Had a wonderful experience at Blue Whale Resort. Came here with my parents and stayed at the two bedroom chalet. The rooms were really nice, comfortable and clean. The biggest draw was that we could take a quick walk and be at the gorgeous Kalpitiya beach. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and the chef was very considerate about some of the dietary restrictions we had. Shout out to Mr. Sumith for all the help and making this a fun stay.

Location and the Rooms are superb,staff and the management is very friendly.
Its a Very nice and clean hotel with a walking distant private beach.
Kids will love the place.

Such a stunning experience with this hotel. I really love all of their services, staff and the location, such a calm and attractive place. We celebrate our brother's b day party in Blue whale resort and all the things were very organized, Specially I want to thanks a lot to the receptionist, such a organized and nice person too. My family stayed at Blue Whale Kalpitiya resort this weekend. This resort is family friendly and has a good access to great Kalpitiya beach . Their food is so good specially the crab curry and sea food. Chalets are nicely done and very comfortable. Staff is great and Mr. Sumith is a great asset to the hotel because he will help you in any of your needs. He arranged me a great Wilpattu safari. All in all we had a wonderful stay and I can recommend this resort to any other guest without hesitation.

Best kitesurfing experience in Kalpiya .Nice and clean rooms. BUT THE BEST THING IS THEIR SERVICES.

We had an amazing few days at the Blue Whale Resort. The staff was super friendly and very helpfull. The facilities are clean and comfortabele and the food and drinks are really good!

The staff went all our for a romantic dinner on the beach, it was beautiful with a big sea food platter, a nice White wine, torches and a big bonfire. We definetly recommend this resort everyone!

To top it all off, we had great kite surfing lessons from Rowan, he is very knowledgable and a realy good instructor. The kite surfing area is beautiful, windy and we got good gear during the lessons.

If you want to kite surf this is THE place to go. It’s in the best location. The resort alone is a gem. The owner and staff are extremely accommodating. If you’re lucky enough to be there on a day when they have their dinner buffet, you won’t want to miss it. Their luxury chalets are spacious and give you the privacy you want. The resort is in the perfect location. Just a short walk from your room to the beach on the lagoon is where you will launch your kite. Ruwan is an excellent instructor. He will make sure learning is fun but most importantly keep you safe. The school itself is very inexpensive.
We will definitely go back.

We stay two day. Calm and relax place. Enjoyed many sea foods and tropical fruits. Friendly staff and management. Lovely pool and good location to kids. Close to lagoon .

Nice ambience. Food was delicious and had good variety. We asked the hotel to get us a boat for Dolphin watch and they arranged the boat with a short notice. Also they boat ride was very safe and they guys were pretty decent as well. We enjoyed the stay and boat ride..

Great staffs, super customer service, excellent food and rooms are really good.

The room was spacious and clean with ample amenities and a nice view. The staff at this hotel was the standout feature because they were hardworking, very friendly and super attentive. A special mention to the manager who contsantly checked on us to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The food was tasty and the location is great with a beautiful beach infront of the hotel.

The blue whale resort is a best hotel in Kalpitiya. Hotel manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. Foods are very delicious. Prices are very flexible.
Rooms are very clean, if you visit you can enjoy many facilities and there are liquor bar also.
