Maison De Parfum is a small shop with bottles upon bottles of different scents to create your own perfume! When you enter the store an employee greets you and asks you preliminary questions about the type of scents you like. Based on what you say, they will give you a piece of paper with recommended scents to try. The perfume you create will include any 2 scents around the shop. This is a really a self guided perfume making experience.

Once you pick 2 scents, you take it to the main counter and the employees proceed to make your personal perfume! You will get a custom label and boom! Done!

Cost for a small bottle was roughly $37 USD. Staff was really nice and spoke great English :)

Great perfume making experience!

Service: From when you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff who speak English. They will ask what scent you’re looking for and provide you with a list of numbers that best represent the scent you’re after. The experience is self-guided whereby you find two scents that you ultimately like. They’ll mix the two for you and provide custom pleather labels as well.

Sizes: Two volumes (50 & 100ml). Largest is around 66,000krw. They package it nicely!

Overall, highly recommend for a self-guided perfume experience where staff are more than happy to assist.

Highly recommend to visit the shop to make your own perfume. We visited the shop on Nov 2023. The staff are very nice and they speak English, they also explain clearly and would give you recommendations if you are not sure what kind of perfume you like. You can also customise your own label on the perfume bottle.

The price is reasonable and the best part is you don’t have to make reservations for making the perfume. Will definitely visit again to make another perfume

Amazing custom perfume boutique. Uses the highest quality and excellent customer care. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time making the fragrance that was perfect for us. A must do when you are in Korea.

The place smells so nice! It’s really hard to pick which scents to use since all of their scents smells soooooooooo frickin’ good! The staff are also very friendly, accommodating and pretty! 💕 It’s one of the best places to go to when you visit Korea! You will have your own scent that will remind you of your trip to Korea! ✨✨✨✨

Fun experience. You can take your time to choose from 160+ different scents. There’s no time limit. They let you choose two and will do the mixing for you. You won’t be overwhelmed because they’ll ask what your favorite notes are and will generate a sheet for you with all the scent bottle numbers that you should try for your notes. You’ll know which scent you like the most by the end of the hour and you can easily test the two combos on the spot. I am in love with my perfume outcome and would go back just to do this scent again when my perfume runs out.

Location is a bit far out from the nearest train station, maybe 10-15 mins walk up the Hongdae shopping street.

Their shop was IG worthy to take photos. I love the mix I made. And the staff were so accommodating and kind. Will definitely visit it again when I come back to Korea.

Lovely perfume workshop! My daughter and I have a valentine’s day activity here. She loves this place and keep telling me that It is her favorite thing of the day . Thank you to all young girl staffs. They are very kind and friendly. All processes are customized of your choices including labeling, bottle cap etc. and many cute corners for photography. I also decided to made my own fragrance for my husband and ready to bring back to Japan for his valentine’s gift. I’m sure he will love it. Thank you, girls

The store is beautiful and they have so many unique scents. Staff are very helpful and don't rush your decision.
I spent almost an hour trying every scent until I could narrow down my favorite two.
It was great watching the perfumes get combined and getting to select my own label.

The experience of coming here was great! The workers explained the directions for making the perfume excellently in English, so if you don’t speak Korean then don’t worry about it!! There are many different scents options to choose from, and the staff are there to assist. They are very kind and gave a tote bag with my purchase as well! If you’re looking for a good quality perfume, and a fun experience along with it then I recommend coming here!!

Very lovely and quaint shop. I came here because I am an AROHA and wanted to buy Moon Bin and Sanha's scent. The staff were so lovely and kind and immediately let me smell the scents and took out their signature for me to take a photo. They were patient and did not rush me at all. If I had more time, I would have stayed for the workshop to make my own scent! I will come back again for sure on my next trip to create my own scent!

This is the perfect thing to do for a girls night out or date with your boyfriend. There are lots and lots of scents to smell and you can make a perfume with 2 scents or a defuser with 1 scent. I love fruity smells, so I made passion fruit and mango. My friend likes musky scents, so she made herself and her boyfriend similar scents with a sandalwood base. And our 3rd friend likes fresh scents so she went with a lavender scent. The best part was customizing our perfume labels!

Had the loveliest time at this perfumery! Employees spoke Korean/English/Japanese during my visit. There wasn’t much guidance as to how you should mix different fragrances, so you kinda have to wing it. Really glad that I didn’t feel rushed at all since there’s so many to choose from!

Once you settle on two fragrances to mix, wait your turn to have the employee at the counter put it all together for you. So fun getting to choose a custom label/bottle cap!

TIP: take pictures or write down the names of the fragrances you choose, along with their notes. I forgot to do that and had to bother them about it a week later!

If you love fragrance, I recommend stopping by for a fun little ~15-60min activity (depending on how decisive you are) for <$50! This sort of thing would cost at least twice as much in LA 😭 Oh wow, I miss Seoul…

It was really great experience there..it was my first time to custom my own perfume and the staff was really nice to me..i love they give us recommendation to what smell that we like cuz there're a lot of perfume so we have an option which one to choose..i went there because of this one celebrity and it give me a good memory there..they also give me the freebies as a fan which i'm truly appreciate it..really recommended for those who likes perfume..i really like the ambience there too..it was really nice..

Great experience in Hongdae with friends! The staff was very patient and knowledgeable even for those who had little to no experience with using fragrances. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for their first or a new fragrance!
