A lot of book here, korean book, foreign book in english, etc. I think you can find every genre of book here. I went on a weekday, there were so many people, it might be a little difficult to find books. Also can buy music cd here at Hottrack store, has a various type of music, not just the kpop. Excellent bookshop in the centre of Seoul. Great selection of children's books. Also a wide selection of Korean language learning books for English speakers. Fantastic spot for browsing!

A big and fancy bookstore, with nearly half of the space dedicated to kids books and toys. It is definitely a place to bring the little ones. The kid's section has not just books but vending machines and a mini area for lounging. The grown-ups side has gifts, tech, and a stationary area.

Don't go to Kyobo at Seokcheon lake, absolutely NO books there. Go here instead. English books available plus a plethora of other things from genuine leather bags to electronics. Plus the subway station is right below it!

This bookstore is pretty fantastic, and has a ton of really great titles in English (and other languages!). It’s usually suuuuper crowded at peak moments but is a nice, central place for some quick browsing or targeted shopping by using the search computers in the store. Shoppers can also browse a huge selection of stationery and tech items.

Apparently, Kyobo Bookstore also uses a signature scent in the store and I’ve heard rumors that it’s for sale. Can anyone verify?

This bookstore is huge with a wide variety of books in many languages. There is also a coffee shop, a food court and a bakery (which is very good, you should try!) so you can spend hours and hours here. Weekends can be very busy though, so avoid weekends if you could.

Amazing place to search for books. They have searching machines but also the staffs are very supporting and help you. There are so many different categories and have a good selection of foreign books or also language learning books. The seats are very comfortable and you can you additional light for reading.

Also a huge selection of knick knacks, though priced higher than online.
It's not the best place to pick up a book and read it (like you do at most book stores in Korea), but for browsing and buying.

To buy some stationers that place is excellent. Cozy comfort and luxury. Love this place.

"People create books, and books create people." Shin Yong-ho, the chairman who founded Kyobo Bookstore, believed that there should be a representative bookstore in the heart of Seoul, even if it meant giving up high rental income in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

With this ideology, Kyobo Bookstore in Gwanghwamun has the following unique operational guidelines:

1. Always use polite language with all customers, even if they are elementary school students.
2. Do not discourage customers from standing and reading books for a long time; just let them be.
3. Do not give disapproving looks to customers who browse books without making purchases.
4. Do not prohibit customers from copying books into their notebooks; just leave them be.
5. Even if someone tries to steal a book, do not treat them like a thief but rather advise them discreetly and kindly.

With sofa-style, bench-style, and table-style seating in 20 different areas, accommodating over 300 people, the bookstore aims to provide a comfortable environment for reading. If you are a foreign visitor, it is recommended to visit this place, the intellectual hub of Seoul, at least once.

One of the best bookstores in Korea and the one in Gwanghwamun is the biggest of them all. It not only has books but it has everything from stationary items, music, house decor, tech and gadgets, food, and more. It's the one place I definitely recommend to anyone visiting Korea for the first time. It is worth going. It does get crowded there because it's that famous so I recommend avoiding the weekends.

One of the best bookstore in Seoul. You can see bestseller books and read some books inside. There are chairs and tables for visitors for them to read books in free of charge. Good book store =)

Very big book store! There is starbuck inside the book store. Like this place so much. Can stay here for hours.
