This is a free educational museum but toddlers aged 3 and up would love it! You can dress up as a police officer but make sure you collect your time ticket as there’s usually a wait (we had to wait nearly 2 hours, although you can explore the museum in the meantime) to wear the police uniform for 15 minutes.

Really interesting museum on the complete history of the police in Japan. The bottom floors are good for kids but the top two floors contain very historical artifacts and exhibits. You cannot take pictures on the top two floors.

I thought it was well laid out and had more than enough interesting content for all age groups. It's well worth it to visit if you're in the area, entrance is free.

Almost all of the exhibits have English translations, and there's an audio tour. While the vast majority of the detail and exhibits are for all ages, the real draw is the hands-on interactive experience for kids. Handicapped accessible.

Nice little police museum. Can be quite boring if you're into that sort of stuff.

An interesting display spanning over 5 floors giving a bit of information and background on the formation of the police force in Japan as well as the evolution of the police uniform over the years.

You can take photos as much as you like except on the top two floors.

There is no entrance fee and the museum is very informative. Exhibits are in english and the museum was very interactive. Save it for a rainy day if you have time left over. You don’t need much time here, but it was cool to see all of the different outfits that are worn by Japanese officials. The museum was very interactive, a great place to take kids.

Its a great place to bring the kids to but there are still good information and education on what the police in Tokyo Metropolitan PD does. I like the fact that they have a display to commemorate police officers who died in the line of duty. There are 6 floors worth of display but they are pretty small each. Can spend about 1 hour there.

A compact museum with free entry with about 60% of the display having an accompanied English explanation.

The organisation chart provided a bit of background to the Ghost In The Shell anime, but I wished there was explanation to what each department did.

Police museum is a great place for kids to visit. Everything is FREE, except for vending machines lol. You can rent FREE costumes for kids by filling out a simple form. They can get on the motorcycle and into the helicopter and you can generate IG worthy photos. My little ones had a blast.

Learn about the history of how the police was formed and the roles of police officers in protecting the citizens of Japan. Also include a lot of activities for kids to enjoy and souvenirs to bring home.

This is a cool museum. It takes about an hour for 2 adults to walk through. It has some interesting history on the Tokyo police department.

There are some interactive areas for kids as well, and it's free!

It's free and a short visit, about 30min should be enough. Due to covid some interactive exhibitions are closed but still worth the visit if you are in the area

A more documentary style museum that demonstrates the history of the Japanese police force. 30 mins long tour for 5 floors. The second and third floors have some detective games that kids can interact with, that was very interesting 🧐 ( in Japanese though ) Free admission and friendly staff, great place to pay a visit if you're in Kyobashi.
