A huge, tranquil park in heart of Shibuya.
Lots of peaceful areas to walk. Also has a great track for running. Don't miss the blossom trees in spring (there were some early varieties starting to bloom in January and February!)
For an adorable dog fix, check out the dog exercise area which is sorted by dog size.
There is also a cute pony park area which seasonally offers pony rides or carrot feeding 😊 We went in off-season, but met a pretty horse called Rose and the staff were very friendly and allowed us to take photos.

Probably the best park I visited in Tokyo. It’s clean, most trees are well maintained. While walking I saw some staff trimming the trees a bit for maintenance. The park has plenty of available benches. We sat there while waiting for Shibuya Sky to open.

Large and clean park with lots to do. There are lots of people running counterclockwise. Came near the end of February (2024) and saw some variety of trees already blooming. We even saw some small green birds playing around the trees. It was only somewhat crowded around the trees when we went around 10 AM on a Saturday but were still able to find pockets of places in front of the trees to take pictures at.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful day here 😊 Many large trees provide shade. Because it is spacious, people have many options for picnic locations such as on the lawn, near flower gardens, near lakes, etc. In general, people should come picnic in the summer. 🌞 🙆‍♀

Cool and huge park. Locals were friendly and the vibes are great.
Love the basketball court.
Pop up snacks stall is a little pricy, would recommend to buy from supermarket or convenience store before coming.

Tranquil place you can visit after a hectic day in Harajuku and Omotesando. It's free to enter too and it's a wide swathe of nature where people of all ages unwind, exercise, bring pets, picnic, study, and play games. Definitely a must-visit, especially if you're already going to Harajuku or Meiji Jingu area

Yoyogi Park, sitting beside Meiji Shrine, is one of large parks in Tokyo, and it has many types of trees for different seasons. In spring, it has cherry blossom, and in fall, its Ginko trees forest attracts even more visitors when trees turn gold in autumn. The photos in this posting were taken in December 2023.

For people who enjoy the autumn beauty of Gingo tree leaves turning to golden yellow, Yoyogi Park is one of the top choices, in addition to Tokyo University Hongo Campus.

Great place to clear your thoughts and just walk. Serene park with people of different backgrounds. There are acapella singers when I visited and they sang very well. Great to walk in the cold weather.

Amazing park, lively and full of people enjoying free time, waking dogs, playing with kids or just enjoying the nature. I visited the place at the end of January and there wasn’t much to see from the blossoms but I believe the place must be amazing during the spring season.

I visited the park as a tourist in 2020 in the month of December.
It was nice and a quite place, bit of a place where you can find your inner piece. I love my time there, do give it a visit.

"A park where you can also enjoy renting bicycles."
There are many large parks in Tokyo, but there are not many parks where you can rent bicycles and enjoy cycling, so this is a good park. The park has a large area with a plaza, a dog run and a cycling course, which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It can be enjoyed in each of the four seasons, no matter when you come. Small children can borrow bicycles, which is recommended.

Parking:Yes ¥600/first hour, thereafter ¥300/30 min, max ¥2400.

We ended up at this park twice. A great place for a walk, a run, you can rent bikes. Plenty of public restrooms. Get a lunch or coffee and enjoy this lovely park.

Best place to chill for free in Tokyo.
Good dog areas, bicycle courses and wide open spaces for families or small events. Bonus: some historical pine trees and nearby access to larger event spaces across the street.

Large park with at least one cafe that made curry, lots of vending machines, and acres of sitting areas. It’s a great place to sit or walk around on a nice evening.

Location : City area

Transportation: Easy to go from Metro

Clean: Tidy and clean

Atmosphere: all the greenery in Central Tokyo. Relaxing space for people to run, jogging, playground, cycling, rest… chit chat with friends.
Also, next to Meiji Jingu, can pay a visit after Yoyogi Park
