The bed is not comfortable. The pillow is too low and only one. Onsen is nice. The beef is good, nice wagyu beef sukiyaki but 5 thin slices only. Overall food is good.

This place is quite close to the train station with very nice and cozy atmosphere. Akari Chan and her cat friends are very friendly and very welcoming. If you got the connecting room, the hotel will ask your cooperation to avoid making noise. Private onsens in the hotel and suki yaki dinner are very impressive. Definitely come back, highly recommend!

Two nice outdoor private onsen and three Indoor onsens. Workers are nice. There are four cute cats only we saw three but so good. Room was good. Bed was a bit uncomfortable but it was ok. Offer Yukata and socks. Socks you can bring home for a souvenir. When you check out they give a small snack bag and post cards.

Absolutely amazing stay.
Few onsens scattered around the premises that are private, you are able to check the vacancies using their QR code. Room is clean and spacious enough. The ryokan is 5 mins away from the station and 1 min away from Lawson’s. Free bike rental and free onsen eggs. Cats are cute and they WILL go into your room. You need to be okay with cats.
Food was decent, a minor gripe for me is that they don’t serve traditional Kaiseki courses.

Country charm, Japanese cuteness, friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, and private cottage like rooms make this a delightful place to stay. The 3 private onsen onsite bring the magic, and during my stay there was always one available to use, with the water at a perfect 41 degrees Celsius. The onsen have showers as well, but just be sure to bring the onsen towel from your room. Lovely shampoo and soaps in the showers, and free toothbrushes, combs, etc, available in the main “lodge”. Plentiful parking, a Lawson next door for all your convenience store needs, plus lots of restaurants within walking distance, seal the deal.

Stayed 2 nights. Beautiful garden and nice grill restaurant with breakfast and dinner provided. Room was very traditional Japanese and spacious. Only thing lagging are hooks to hang your clothes in the toilet and shower. Tv comes with Netflix too. By night, crickets and other insects started their orchestra and by 4.30am the sky gradually lighted up and birds start their individual singing. The feeling was so relax and coupled with the low temperature at 9⁰C to 13⁰C. One of the 3 cats (grey) decided to bunk into our room. There were also the indoor and outdoor onsen. Especially after bbq dinner go for it. I must give 6 stars to the kitchen crews who were very friendly and well organised in preparing the BBQ dinner and morning Japanese breakfast. Excellent job for kitchen crews especially the 2 males that were serving the restaurant. Overall the accommodation was super. Even one of the cat send us off when we checked out.

This hotel/ryokan is absolutely fantastic! It has 2 private family onsens which can be locked from the inside for privacy and 2 public onsens. The surrounding is enchanting and beautiful. The service is dedicated. At the reception area, there are 2 machines that serve hot and cold drinks. There is a small kitchenette that has a dish washing machine & a microwave. Pretty self-sufficient. What more can I say? Definitely worth every single cent. There is a petrol kiosk just less than a minute walk away if more food is needed.

We loved spending time in this ryokan. Four private onsen, a foot onsen, and large rooms make this the perfect getaway. Hotel cats roam the property and are happy to spend time with guests looking to pet them. Our room featured a little pond outside the back. We enjoyed our time so much that we extended our stay by an extra night. It was close enough to the town to make everything within walking distance, and was also easily accessible to the highway. The perfect spot for our time in Yufuin and Beppu.

This ryokan? is the highlight of my Kyushu roadtrip. The stay is an absolute delight. They have 4 hot springs you can soak in even at midnight. The service is great and you have 4 cats to play with if you're lonely.

Excellent Hotel. The lobby is beautiful, free drinks at the lobby area, there is a shared kitchen in case you want to cook or microwave something. There are 4 private onsens, guests take turn to use them. Booking required at some timings and not required at some timings. Open air foot bath, hotel atmosphere, rooms, all nicely done. Most of the hotel staff speak good English.
