Amazing views and excellent staff and service. We had our wedding here and stayed two nights and enjoyed every second of it. We were given a room with amazing views of the historical pond garden and it was a splendid stay.

The wedding staff provided exceptional service and they prepared everything for us. Especially the wedding coordinator; he helped plan everything even with the time zone difference. All the staff on the day of the wedding was excellent as well, they followed is the entire day to make sure all our needs are satisfied. They really made this experience stress free. I’ll definitely be coming back given the chance.

Best hotel experience of my life.
I can't express the quality of our experience at this property.
The most peaceful room I have stayed in.
The attention to detail at this property is phenomenal.
Every need was attended to, sometimes before you voiced the request.

Service: The staffs are very pleasant and helpful. They would provide you with things and info that you need.
Location: I can't say much since we came with car but there's a lawson nearby. Not sure how far it's from train station.
Room: Very spacious with great view. Nice bathroom and luxury amenities. My boss was staying at the presidential room and it was very spacious with kitchen and big dining table enough for big family.
Food: They have in-room service but i recommend eating at their terrace while enjoying the amazing view, then take a walk around the garden. The japanese breakfast was great and fresh, i can't eat raw fish but theirs don't smelk at all so it was fine. Their healthy juice is very overpriced. Please do try their pastries during your stay, especially their white truffle croissant! Easily the best croissant.

Large and spacious rooms. Highlight is definitely the garden and pond in the hotel grounds. Love seeing the koi fishes and herons

Gym is open 24 hours, and there’s an Onsen and heated pool on site.

Breakfast is good and most importantly, the coffee here is legit and very good !

This is certainly the nicest hotel on the planet. This is my first visit to Japan and I was willing to pay a premium to have a great room at a good location in Kyoto. There were no disappointments. The hotel is relatively new and absolutely beautiful. The service was uniformly excellent. Everyone I encountered spoke Very good English. Breakfast was included in the cost of our stay. They have extensive selections in Japanese food and Western food. We did not dine in the evening in any of the hotel restaurants, rather the concierge helped us select from some very interesting and excellent restaurants within a short cab ride of the hotel. The grounds of the hotel are adjacent to some gardens and a lagoon. We had selected a deluxe room, and when we arrived the reception staff offered us an upgrade to a garden view room.. We were given room 103 which I am sure is the best room in the hotel. See attached photograph from the living area of our suite. This hotel well deserves its five-star reputation

This is a very special place, located in one of the best and most peaceful parts of Kyoto. The property is brand new and super modern throughout the whole estate. You feel a lot of the Japanese culture present as you experience the property, which is very inspiring and authentic at the same time. The service is excellent and the staff is very attentive. My favorite thing at every 4 seasons hotel is the bedroom mattress and linen, which is super comfortable. Besides that, the outdoor restaurant is really lovely to spend time with your family or partner.

I highly recommend this place as it offers a clean and convenient location, along with excellent customer service. The check-in process was effortless, and the elderly gentleman at the counter was incredibly kind. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I would definitely suggest staying here.

This Hotel was beyond beautiful and amazing. Our room was clean and serviced twice a day and the beds were so comfy. Our room look over a beautiful pond and garden. The staff were so friendly and attentive. My kids loved the pool and looked forward to feeding the koi fish every morning. We stayed 5 nights and had dinner and breakfast most days there. The food was delicious. We met a lovely waitress named Kana, who looked after us when we dined- she was so lovely and very sweet to my kids- All the staff were great! It was in a great location. My husband and I are already planning our next trip to Japan and we are definitely coming back here to stay.

I have only GREAT things to say about our stay at the Four Seasons Kyoto this past August. They have world class service, gorgeous spaces, and delicious food. We loved the beautiful garden, thoroughly enjoyed the tea ceremony (highly recommend), and relaxed at pool. Their attention to detail is impeccable. My husband and I went to Japan for our anniversary, and The Four Seasons Kyoto really made this trip special. Shout out to Emina, a staff member there, who was so helpful to us with recommendations, translating for us, and making sure we felt celebrated during our stay. A BIG THANK YOU to the whole team there!

Quite possible the best Omakase in the world. Head chef Okuchi is a master in his craft and delivered an amazing culinary experience.
Side note : Yuki is a superstar. Everyone we met was superbly well trained and extremely hospitable. Highly recommended!

We were lucky and had an upgrade to a suite. The staff were very helpful and the rooms comfortable. Eating out locally did require a bit of a walk.

we stayed in FS kyoto during winter break. Like other FS, the room is well-decorated and the bed is very comfortable. The view outside the window is amazing ( especially when it was snowing ). The location is also very good that it's easy to access to Kiyomizu-dera!

We stayed at FS Kyoto on a 2 week tour of Japan. The hotel is very comfortable and well located for station, sightseeing etc. great facilities including pool and gym.

The service we received from staff was excellent. Especially Nao and Michelle who did a great job for us before and during our stay.

When we were there a Maiko show was held on Thursday evening. Nice touch.

Can recommend this hotel highly.

Another of the luxury American hotels in Kyoto. For a few months a year they’ve been offering a private afternoon tea in a “dome” by a 800+ year old pond garden. Their pastry chef makes the best scones I’ve ever tasted. The burdock ice cream was incredibly inventive and well executed! They have a seasonal さくら themed set in March-April.

A absolutely wonderful place to stay in Kyoto. They provide first rate service from start to finish, with great attention to detail. The concierge was able to book us great dinners around Kyoto, which took all the hassle out of finding a place to eat. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, and Brassiere, their restaurant located on the first floor, was always accommodating with great breakfast and lunch. The amenities, included a comfortably heated indoor pool and spa, were similarly spectacular. We have two small children, and thought that it was very kid friendly. We’ll be back for sure
