The views from the top were incredible, and we even spotted some temples in the distance, adding to the charm of the cityscape. The best part? It was affordable, and we got a free calendar for our photos! The only downside was that the tower felt a bit small. But overall, it was a fantastic experience we’ll always remember.

Great view to see Kyoto from the top. Even when you are far away at Gion or Arashiyama Monkey Park, you are able to see this iconic tower. Recommend to go up here for just ¥900. Can complete within 45 minutes with plenty of time for photos. Check out the places you are going to visit or have visited from there. This will complete part of your Kyoto trip. Fully Recommended.

Kyoto Tower offers an incredible view of Kyoto. There are two floors to explore which displays the magnitude of the city and free binoculars of all sizes to use. The binoculars enable you to see all the little nooks and crannies of Kyoto and it's worth spending time marvelling at the sites from afar. Highly recommend visiting Kyoto Tower. It is right next to the main station so it is extremely easy to get to

The experience at the most iconic tower of Kyoto was nothing short of a thrill. The ambiance in the base tower was super perfect and it was very less crowded during the last week of October when I visited. The queue for the entrance ticket was barely 4-5 people long and the price is a bit on the higher side. Also, they closed much before the official time. But I luckily got an entry.

Magic Kyoto! My February visit to Kyoto Tower was a mesmerizing experience, especially in the night. The tower, adorned with brilliant lights, stood as a shining beacon against the Kyoto skyline. The panoramic views from the observation deck were breathtaking, offering a captivating panorama of the city's illuminated landmarks. The ambiance was serene, and the surrounding city lights created a magical atmosphere. Kyoto Tower in February is not only a testament to modern architecture but also a must-visit for those seeking a dazzling and enchanting perspective of Kyoto after dark.

Kyoto tower is so beautiful at night. You can easily see this right in front of Kyoto Station. You can climb it using the elevator inside. I don’t remember how much I paid since I went there 3 or 4 years ago but it’s worth it.

If you’re in Kyoto, you should see the Kyoto tower. If you go up the observatory, you will be able to see the whole city (360 degrees) from above. Night time is especially beautiful.

Beautiful view from the top, a little too heated especially if there are more than a few people so just take note so you don’t get overheated. But definitely worth it!

This is an interesting and short visit you can do if you’re waiting for a train in the station, in front of tower. It’s a good surprise and way to see the city beyond - and snowfalls in the mountains did my visit even more special.

Whole city can be viewed with free binoculars on all sides. Interactive screens too. Most importantly, even though it was bit past 11 AM, it WASN'T CROWDED.

I was pleasantly surprised by this tower. I’ve lived in Kyoto for over a year now and I’d been wanting to go for months. I’ve been to the Umeda Skybuilding and Tokyo Skytree so I’ve seen some iconic sights from observation towers. Kyoto Tower is definitely smaller, but the view of sunset Kyoto is fantastic. It’s not a concrete jungle like Osaka and Tokyo, so you can really take in the buildings and surrounding mountains. Definitely go at dusk.
They have many interesting souvenirs you can buy.
The price needs to be updated too. As of July 28, 2023 entry tickets are 900 yen.

What a fun view of an amazing city! It feels like going into a UFO, and they even have a funny novelty photo you can purchase upon your exit of the tower!

Upon entering, you can directly catch the elevator to the 11th and redeem the QR code. The views at the top are amazing with fixed binoculars and interactive information screens.

I visited it during night/sunaet and it offered unique pictures and view on Kyoto. One of the things that are much see if in Kyoto for more then 1 day. It is waling distance of Kyoto train station so where ever you go, you most defenetly will see it from some point in Town and you will get close to it. So I suggest you dedicate some time and go check the Kyoto Tower.
