Perfect place to get transfers back in time! It gets very crowded but still enjoyable. A lot of souvenir and snack shops! Just wander around and enjoy the history atmosphere.
Sannenzaka itself is a narrow slope that is fill with around 60 shops and restaurants that sell traditional Kyoto products and food. There are also notable shops for visitors to get a hands-on experience of Japanese culture, including tea ceremonies, as well as Maiko and Geisha makeovers. 🍡❤

Streets packed with crowds at all time due to the access to Kiyomizu shrine. Both sides houses a lot of food stall and souvenir shop. Interesting place to look around. There's a pagoda tower in between that is iconic and a good photo shooting spot. Good place to spend a walk with your loved one and family and then proceed to ninenzaka

One of the most renowned views in Kyoto, for sure! I highly recommend visiting either late in the evening, around 7 PM or later, for a serene experience, or if you're feeling adventurous, come at 5 AM to enjoy the tranquility of the early morning. During the day, it tends to get crowded with tourists and crowds.

A fantastic spot to take a stroll down traditional Japanese location in kyoto!

Yes, it can get a bit busy, but the charm is absolutely worth it. Brace yourself for a treasure trove of souvenir and snack shops that add to the delightful historic vibe.

Sannenzaka, a charming narrow slope, boasts around 60 shops and restaurants showcasing traditional Kyoto goodies.

Don't miss the chance to dive into Japanese culture through hands-on experiences like tea ceremonies or the enchantment of Maiko and Geisha makeovers. It's not just a walk; it's a journey through time! 🍡❤

Totally touristy, totally crowded, but totally kawaii! So many interesting corners , shops and restaurants to explore before you get to the highlight, the temple on the mountain top. There is a kimono rental along the path in case you feel like dressing up for a traditional Japanese shot! Come here first before heading out to Kinkaku-ji. Unfortunately the day I came was pouring rain. I hope you get the beautiful iconic shots. Plan 2-3 hrs.

Really crowded with people all the times, maybe up until 7pm. But the scenery and atmosphere is unmatched.

On the way to Kiyomizu-dera, you’ll traverse a traditional Kyoto street. The views here are enchanting, though the area can get quite crowded. It’s a great spot for photography and offers a chance to sample traditional Japanese sweets. Ideally, a leisurely stroll without the crowds would be perfect, but finding such a quiet moment might be a challenge.

One of my favorite sights in all of Kyoto since it truly exemplifies the historical nature of the city. Awesome area to walk through and appreciate.

A super popular pedestrian street on a hill with shops on both sides of the street selling traditional Japanese food, beverage and touristsy goods. On the top of the hill is the main temple attraction.

This is a really popular and touristic place; it can be quite packed with people and it can be quite hard to walk around, but it is honestly so beautiful. The architecture of the different houses and little shops, is just so beautiful. There are many small shops that sell handmade souvenirs. A must see in my opinion.

Good experience but it's also very touristy. Lots of amenities. Great coffee shop and nice walk to temple. Don't miss it.

I love this place in and out. There are plenty of things to explore outside of the temple as well, like the Starbucks.

Nice street with many shops from drinks, snack, souvenirs. Very touristy and crowded, but is a very good experience walking, sightseeing and window shopping. Some souvenirs shop even offer sample, so you will know what are they selling. There is also the famous traditional starbucks shop here and the ghibli merchandise shop.
