Ryokan Yuri

Great value for an onsen hotel

Ryokan Yuri is a traditional Japanese hot spring hotel. It has the traditional feel while leaving out some of the unnecessary bling of more expensive hotels.

It doesn’t include dinner. But Yufuin is a big town with many restaurants.

The rooms don’t have showers or baths. To bathe you go to the hotel bath and enjoy the natural onsen hot water.

The rooms DO have their own toilets and wash basins. The wash basin in our room didn’t have hot water, but that wasn’t a problem since the hotel bath has plenty of wash stations.

What we liked about the hotel was

--Wonderful location within easy walking distance of the train and bus stations, yet away from the crowds.

--It faces the river with its green banks and cherry trees.

--Every room faces the river and has a view of the mountains. Ditto for the dining room.

--Rooms are traditional with tatatami mats. Clean. Good ac/heating. Good windows that you can open and close.

--The breakfast was delicious and healthy. Traditional Japanese style, with many little plates of various foods, hot soup, gohan rice.

--The staff are very friendly and efficient. The manager (owner?) makes everyone feel like family. Good communication in English.

So altogether we felt we’d found a hidden gem of a hotel. Not too expensive and delivered everything we needed.

Incredible stay!

Ryokan was conveniently located around 10 mins walk away from Yufuin station and the view from the room was amazing. Ryokan Yuri is about 15 mins walk away from kirin lake but the walk there was so scenic it felt like no time at all.

The onsen was private as you had to book your slots upon arrival and facilities were clean and well maintained.

Breakfast was good and the Ryokan staff were so hospitable.

It is nearby the Yufuin eki by walking easily.
The staff is very nice and friendly. The host can speak English and talkative.

Please be aware that dinner is not available at instant. Remember to check before check in. On the other hands, breakfast is provided.

Private outdoor O-sen is suitable for 3-4 persons. As natural outdoor O-sen, some spider webs may be seen but not affect enjoying O-sen.

Owner is very kind and provide excellent service. Also, onsen is located behind of Ryokan. but, very privately and good atmosphere. Breakfast is just Japanese style with limited menu. But, they are very friendly to guests.

Staff is very helpful and friendly.The room is clean. Onsen is excellent. I will be back again. I was so impressive especially the staff at hotel.

Kind staff. They can't speak English well but know some basic words. Reasonable prices, nice breakfast and hot springs(onshen)

유후인 버스터미널에서 도보로 5분거리에 위치해있습니다.
위치가 정말좋고 안내해주시는 아주머니,아저씨,할머니 모두 너무 친절하시고 유쾌하셨습니다.
유후인 첫날 도착해서 체크인 시간전까지 무료로 짐을 맡아주셨고 숙소로 돌아왔을땐 방까지 캐리어를 옮겨주셨습니다 정말 감사했습니다 :)
방은 쫌 오래되어보이는 흔적이 있었지만
깨끗하고 깔끔했습니다
온천탕 물도 깨끗하고 따뜻해서 피로 풀기에 너무 좋았습니다. 1시간 간격으로 온천할때 수분보충과 당충전 하도록 간식 물 먹을수 있게 챙겨주십니다.이런 세심한 배려 너무 감사했습니다 :)
전반적으로 숙소 내 시설이 깔끔하고 청결합니다.
조식 종류도 많고 맛도 훌륭합니다 마지막까지 챙겨주신 커피까지 너무 만족하고 갑니다~

유후인역에서 걸어가면 6분정도 걸리는 곳으로 가깝습니다! 일단 사장님께서 영어도 소통이 되시며 매우매우 친절하십니다! 한국어도 다 적혀있어 이용하기 좋아요.
온천도 매우 좋습니다(단, 탕에는 알몸으로 들어가야해요) 다음에 오면 또 묵을거에요

방은 일반 일본 숙소보다 넓고 분위기있는 베란다까지 있다. 웰컴 차랑 과자가 있는데 맛있게 잘 먹었다.
온천은 시간을 선택해서 프라이빗하게 사용할수있는데 노천이라서 겨울에는 씻고 들어가기까지가 조금 춥다. 온천에 들어가면 안추움.

안내해주시는 아저씨와 아주머니가 아주 친절하셨다.

위치도 역에서 많이 멀지않고 밤에도 큰길로 들어오면 가로등도 환하게 켜놨다

다다미식 일본 전통 숙소를 느낀다면 추천드려요~
어느 분이 사장님이신지 모르겠지만 모두가 친절하시고 한국인 관광객이 많아서인지 한국어와 영어, 일본어를 섞어 사용하시기에 불편함 없이 지냈어요! 특히 너무너무너무 친절하시고 항상 밝게 반겨 주시는 분위기여서 짧은 대화시간 동안 너무 즐거웠어요!
솔직히 엄청 깨끗하고 노천탕이 넓은 것은 아니지만 저녁 6시쯤 왔을 때 충분히 온천을 선택 할 수 있었고 온천도 충분히 즐길 수 있었습니다!^^
적당함 온천과 역과의 거리 그리고 일본어를 못하신다면 추천 드려요!!!
직원분들 모두모두 어어어어엄청 친절함 ㅎㅎ

위치가 완전 중심가는 아니지만 도보로 5분 정도 거리에 있어서 좋았어요.
플로랄빌리지, 킨린코호수 등 길따라 쭉 가면 15분정도 소요되는 거리에 있습니다!
숙소는 정말 깔끔하고 사장님이 친절해요.
료칸도 짱이네요 ㅎㅎ
엘레베이터도 있고 유카타도 빌려주며 테라스 뷰가 넘 좋았어요 ㅎㅎ

오고 싶은 숙소!! 단점을 굳이 하나 꼽자면 저녁 11시 이후로는 못 나간다는 점 말고는 다 만족스러웠다
