Really lovely guesthouse. Great kitchen/common room area. Easy to use washing machine and dryer. Basement area good for group activities!

We stayed 4 friends in a room on weekend, staff person was very friendly and helpful (we know Japanese but staff knows English so communicating with them won’t be a problem). It was a pleasant surprise to come to a warmed up room when we arrived. (we stayed in the first week of March so it’s pretty chilly). The facilities are very tidy, there is kitchen on the 3rd floor where you can cook (free coffee too), 4th floor has a rooftop with a nice scenery. On the first floor there is a zone where you can play ping-pong and pool too. Smoking area is also on the first floor. Guesthouse location is pretty convenient (around 5 mins by foot from Gora sta.) I can recommend this place for groups and individual travelers.

Great location for connections to surrounding tourist activities, more comfortable than some hotel beds I've slept in despite being on the floor.
Guy on reception was lovely, polite and very helpful.
Ground floor of the building has pool and ping pong tables aswell. Communal shower and toilet areas were clean and well stocked.

It was my solo tour, I wanted to try something in a budget. I got a shared bed in this guesthouse. There were 2 other people in the same room. I found the manager very helpful and friendly. I liked the dining space, it was neat and clean. He also had some free items like coffee for the guests. As the place is a little bit remote and almost all the shops are closed in the evening, I really liked the idea that the man had some ramen bowls to sell. I will recommend this place if you are looking for something in a budget and want to stay 5/6 minutes apart from the Gora bus stop or train station.

I stayed for a company training trip. The interior is renovated so it was very comfortable. Bath and toilet were new and clean. The interior is Japanese style, I think that foreigners can enjoy it. They have also very beautiful rooftop. You can enjoy barbecue, surrounded by mountains. And also there was a swing, and the stars were very beautiful at night. Staff member was also very kind.

Quite an affordable place to stay in Hakone area. It's very nice the Gora train station. About 5-10min walk. The front counter staff is very friendly and speaks good English. Bathroom and toilets are shared. Room is big and futon sleeping style. Definitely worth considering to stay here! Oh, they have a nice rooftop garden which has a nice view of nearby mountain.

Very friendly hospitable owner. Clean and cosy traditional rooms. A nice communal area with TV, kitchen and bathroom with bathtub and shower (give yourself time to use it as there can be a slight wait). Lovely cherry blossom lined street a short walk from the station. I'd recommend walking to the start of the Myojingatake trail, climbing the peak and then continuing to Kintoke and taking the bus back to Gora. An awesome trek. All doable within a long day. Stunning views and scenery. I highly recommend it.

A very nice place with friendly staff and a good location next to the station. Rooms are comfy too. We've waited out a typhoon there! The rooftop view is breathtaking!

Very clean and friendly place. Futons were quite comfortable and we had a great view of the area.

Conveniently placed a few minutes from the station. Clean comfortable rooms, sleeping on footons. A hostel type common room for making meals and watching TV. English speaking staff.

Rooftop on the rocks and super helpfull staff, the pool table is a must. Would be great with younger guests to party!!
